About this apartment rental

Lake front, top floor end unit with high speed wifi, vaulted ceilings and a great lake view from living room and master. Completely updated with new furniture, king pillow top mattress in primary bedroom. Extra windows make the unit light and bright. Only nineteen stairs up from the parking lot and the point pool is just a short walk. The complex has an indoor pool and hot tub near the gated complex entrance.
Full kitchen with microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. Washer and dryer are provided in the unit for your convenience. Patio furniture, and a gas grill are also available for those days you just want to relax and enjoy the lake view while you barbecue from your own balcony. Located just above the roped swim area with sun dock, this unit is fully furnished with a King size bed in the primarry and a Queen in the second bedroom. The comfortably furnished living room and master bedroom have flat screen TVs equipped with cable.
Fabulous gated lake community includes indoor pool and hot tub for year round enjoyment. Tennis court, basketball court, horseshoes, boat ramp, and playground area are all available for no additional cost. On site security will keep you feeling safe and secure. There is a beautiful lighted walkway along the lake in front of the condos.
The 21-acre point and 2200 feet of shoreline make for great fishing along the shore, off the dock and by boat. For the boaters there is boat ramp access on site and a 10 x 24 boat slip available for no additional charge Larger slips can be arranged for an extra fee. For the fishermen and women a fish cleaning station is available. A mini mart is is within walking distance and includes a laundry facility, deli, etc. You can purchase everything here from live bait to fine wine!
The condo is located only minutes from great dinning , five minutes from championship golf courses at the Lodge of the Four Seasons; and approximately 12 minutes from the Osage Village Outlet Mall.

Condo was as described. Parking at the condo was pretty awful, but this is not the owner’s problem. Inside of condo was clean and well maintained. Towels, dishes, coffee maker and ice were provided. Would certainly consider staying here again.

I would rather leave no review than a bad one, but we felt taken advantage of for the money we gave them, so here goes: I imagine the place would be just fine for those with 20/100 vision, but not for us, or anyone with young kids. The best thing I can say is that the owner should seriously consider hiring a PROFESSIONAL cleaning crew to hit this place from ceiling to floor. We found, without looking very hard at all: Lint and dirt on the floor at the foot of the king bed, filthy baseboards throughout, webs on the corners at the ceiling, greasy range control panel, dirty microwave (with someone else's fingerprints all over the keypad and crusty gunk on the door handle), nasty rusted over-the-toilet storage unit in the main bath, dirty doors especially around the knobs, wood deck full of twisted boards, old kitchen cabinets and Formica countertop from 1984, non-working ice maker, no deck umbrella, etc., etc. The dirt gave us pause about the sheets and towels--were they actually laundered, or just fluffed in the dryer? If the owner can't see all the obvious dirt, then they should expect comments like these. With a phone number having a 913 area code (KCK), I wonder how often the owner actually inspects their property? We've rented various condos for long weekends and have been satisfied. This is the only one that we won't return to, nor recommend to others.

Our stay was awesome! We love the location, ability to bring our little furry friend, the bonus boat slip, the cleanliness, the comfortable bed, the pool, and having an indoor pool option! Also love the gas station and deli/shop up the hill...they have great breakfast items and anything you accidentally forget to bring!!

Great location for that weekend get away. Tracey was communication and helpful for what we were looking for. Only issue we had was the boat ramp is quite steep and very difficult to be able to get a boat back out of the water. Other than that everything went smoothly!

This condo was perfect for our annual lake crappie fishing trip! Boat ramp, boat slip, and fish cleaning station were all available. Perfect condo for two couples or a family! Host was very responsive to messages.

We were at the lake for a gymnastics competition and this condo fit all of our needs. We were allowed to bring our dog which was a plus for us. The condo had everything we needed! Communication was easy with the owner. We will definitely stay here again!

Great condo with a gorgeous view. Fully stocked kitchen and newer appliances give all the conveniences of home. Its a great location off the main road and a quiet resort. The pool is clean and enjoyable after a hot day also. Definitely would stay here again on our next trip down!

We really enjoyed our stay. From chilling beside the pool to relaxing on the deck watching all the boats. Very close to all the shopping and several nice restaurants. We highly recommend this place.

Pros - The place was very clean and had a nice large TV screen. Cons - The coffee pot was old and the filters too short so coffee always had grounds in it. There was no pepper. The frying pans were very low quality - food stuck badly. There was no comfortable seat - small hard stools at the counter, lumpy couches, and very soft, uncomfortable bed. There were no anti-slip patches in the main shower so was very slippery - we showered in the other bathroom that did have these.

The condo is in a great location, and was very comfortable for 4 adults. We didn't cook in the unit, so I can't really say how well equipped cooking items are. Having access to the slip was fantastic and allowed us to rent a boat for longer than 8 hours. We really enjoyed spending evenings on the balcony talking. The owner was very nice and quick to respond to questions. Would definately book this condo again.

Had a super stay at the condo. Owners were very hospitable. We had a slight issue with the grill and they were very quick to respond. If we head down to the lake again I would stay here again, but I’d bring my own pillows, they were either lumpy or flat. But everything else was great!

Pulling in I noticed that the stairwell was the only one that had been replaced. Which was an added plus. The condo was wonderfully decorated and had everything we needed for a great vacation. The beds were very comfortable, and we had a good nights sleep (except for the first night, the neighbors on the next balcony were very loud and ignored the quiet times - coming out and being extremely loud waking us up at 1:30 - 3:30 am - they were very young) The master bedroom had great views of the lake. The back deck was perfect for sitting out and watching the lake but it could use an umbrella for the table as it gets hot out there. We were there to fish and would get up early in the morning and be back off the water by 11:00 which made it possible for me to enjoy the rest of the day poolside. It is located perfectly at the point so you can sit and watch the boats go by. Everyone was so friendly, and I loved talking to them all. We will definitely try and visit again next year but may come a different weekend because opening weekend on the lake is busy!

We chose Southwood Shores mostly because of the indoor pool and hot tub...was too cold to get in the lake water! Having the store up the hill is very convenient as well as the available boat slip. The condo was very nice and the beds were comfortable. Bonus that it is pet friendly even though we decided not to bring our little fur baby this time. We had a great time and would definitely stay again!
