Had a wonderful break.
Had a wonderful break. Amenities were very good. Cleanliness excellent. Granny came with us so the downstairs room and bathroom were ideal for her. She did say that unfortunately the mattress downstairs was uncomfortable. Otherwise it was an ideal setting. Enjoyed the apple orchards and The wildlife. Owners very friendly and helpful. Can reach many places for days out, food etc, whilst retreating to the peace and quiet, and clear night skies. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Lovely cottage, quiet, spacious and ideally situated for exploring Kent.
Lovely cottage, quiet, spacious and ideally situated for exploring Kent. The owners are friendly and helpful, and have supplied all the necessities. Had lovely local apple juice and shortbread waiting for us when we arrived. Only downside is there is only one bathroom which is downstairs, which is a bit of a pain as 4 people of the 6 sleep upstairs

This is the 6th time I have stayed at Hawthorne cottage. Each year, myself and another carer bring 2 adults with disabilities on holiday here. It’s a beautiful cottage completely away from roads or other people with orchards to walk around. The cottage is comfortable and we always enjoy our time here.

We stayed the last week in May and had the most amazing time. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. The cottage had everything you could want, and the location was fantastic. The outside space thats allocated with the cottage was fantastic we played for hours outside. The location is perfect for the beach, Canterbury Castle, wildlife park etc etc. There are 2 local pubs/restaurants minutes from the cottage and the owners were so nice (The Rising Sun and The Dog and Duck, the food was delicious. The best thing was the quiet, its so peaceful. We would highly recommend Hawthorne Cottage.
