Wrightington also has a couple of good pubs and restaurants within the village. The nearby Wrightington Hotel and Country Club also offers great spa and golf packages. A wider range of amenities can be found in Wigan, and from here you can take a train to Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Birmingham, or even London! Thanks to its proximity to the motorway network, less than 2 miles from junction 27, off the M6, there are so many places to visit within easy driving distance. Blackpool, whose many attractions include; the famous Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Zoo, Pleasure Beach, Sealife Centre, Madame Tussauds, water park, and annual illuminations, is just a 40-minute drive away. The popular cities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Lancaster are all within a 45-minute drive, and just over an hour away is Cumbria’s stunning Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Park.
