We had a great time (with family for part of the stay) celebrating my wife’s special birthday. Location is really good for exploring Keswick & its walks etc, and property very well appointed with tremendous views and its own safe parking. We did have a couple of minor hiccoughs during the week but the service personnel supported us efficiently & quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and revisit.

We loved our stay at Derwentwater View, the apartment is beautifully decorated and was very clean.
We loved our stay at Derwentwater View, the apartment is beautifully decorated and was very clean. There is plentiful kitchen equipment, including a good number of mugs - good for enjoying hot drinks and being able to fully load the dishwasher.
The sheltered balcony with a view over the car park to the lake and Walla Crag was great even in the cooler autumn weather.
It’s an easy walk into Keswick from Portinscale although it is worth taking a torch if it’s dark. The Chalet cafe is just across the road from the apartment, we had breakfast on our final morning which was very good and felt very safe as they were careful to implement the Covid guidelines correctly. There is also a traditional pub in the village, a few minutes walk from the apartment which offers traditional pub food.
The apartment is next to a hotel and there can be little bit noise in the morning from bin lorries etc, however this didn’t cause us any issues. It didn’t last long so it was easy to ignore.
Would highly recommend.

Overall the apartment makes a great base for holiday.
Overall the apartment makes a great base for holiday. It's in easy walking distance of Keswick and the rooms are spacious with fabulous views across the lake to Walla Crag.
We've stayed there several times over the last 10 years or so and would do so again. The only negative is that the fittings are beginning to feel a little tired and would benefit from a refresh.

Very well-equipped 3-bedroom apartment with all amenities you would expect.
Location was great and we were lucky to get excellent weather too (in May) so lots of good walking and views.
Beds were not particularly comfy though and may need a bit of a revamp, but otherwise, everything was good for our stay.

Property was great.
Property was great. Well equipped and comfortable. Ideal both for our Grandchildren and our dog.
Even better if:
There was a welcome pack (as provided by all other holiday cottage companies we have booked with in last 5 years)
Handles on pans did not conduct heat (quite dangerous)
Down stairs neighbour was more pleasant (did not exchange pleasantries and shouted at our puppy. Fortunately he went away from the Monday to Friday)
