Traumhaft

Eine sehr außergewöhnliche Unterkunft, welche sehr viel zu bieten hat. Die Anlage war größer als gedacht und es gab sehr viele unterschiedliche Aktivitäten. Zudem ist das Gelände mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet.

Lugar espectacular, te encantará

Instalaciones preciosas. La comida deliciosa. El personal muy amable y con buena vibra.

El lavabo de nuestra habitación estaba atorado desde que llegamos. Ademas, el inodoro no pasaba bien. Nos cobraron un 10% adicional por pagar con tarjeta, algo que no nos esperábamos. El cocinero nos dijo que el desayuno sí estaba incluido, pero al final nos lo cobraron.

There is nothing around. You have to drive and there are only sand streets. The toilettpaper bin wasn't emptied during our stay. Yuck!

Lots of character

Thank you Karin, Oliver and Cooper for a great week! I loved lounging by the pool and my acrobatic session. I absolutely recommended trying a trapeze or acrobatics class with Karin, sooo much fun! The rooms are lovely and unique! Reina and Hilcia will tend to you and prepare your breakfast. I honestly didn’t want to leave, I extended my stay 2 nights. And my absolute favorite, it is pet friendly and Cooper is an amazing dog! I wouldn’t change anything about my week!

The only thing is the drive into Finca Pargos, but because I have a sedan so a dirt road can be tricky, in summer it is still manageable. I would also say have additional food options.

Great for two or three days, and when there are only a few guests

The location is great. In the middle of a lush garden. The pool is awesome. One of the best we have seen in terms of serenity. The beds are super comfy. Rooms are large. Staff is very helpful. Check-in was easy. Breakfast was tasty.

The lodge needs more maintainance. The rooms are nice. But the overall condition of the property and garden needs more work. It is still acceptable but not 4 or 5 standard. The chairs at the pool were not usable (dirty). The breakfast options is extremely limited (either a domestic Choice or an intercontinental (toast, jam, egg, coffee). Check-out a bit slow. Sound insulation is not good. We had rooms in the basement and could hear every step of our neighbors upstairs.

BEAUTIFUL pool, other things ok, massively overpriced for quality compared to other hotels we used

Nice gardens, fantastic and unusual pool surrounded by lush plants. Quiet location. Relaxed.

Place is ok, but not for the price. In my opinion it's massively over-priced. Most expensive place stayed so far (5 hotels) and the least good. First room big, but terrible damp smell and if raining, water comes in under door, painting old. Moved room (thank you), comfortable, dry, good smell, but wifi doesn't reach. Very basic and small breakfast. No fridge in room. Staff very nice but very little english. None of this is problem if price is reasonable. OK if price about $70 but not if price over $170.

Exceptional

Everything was incredible at this gem of a place. The room was spacious and clean, the pool was stunning and the firepit in the evening was a big bonus. But more than that, the staff were superb. Embarrassingly our Spanish is terrible but the staff were warm, patient, kind and informative. I wish I could remember everyone's names who helped us out but special thanks to Marco, Angie and Saul (I think), who kindly gave us a lift to the local restaurant as we don't have a car. The whole team went above and beyond, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Friendly host, very clean, cozy and nice rooms.

the rules of not drinking an own beer at the pool however is just rubbish and honestly hearing this in the first 10 min of the stay is non-welcoming.

The property is beautiful, with so much whimsical attention to detail. We loved our room and our bed. Such a special place. The family/staff who attended us were warm and welcoming. Filling and delicious Tico breakfast.

Very good

The property was beautiful! Lush garden surroundings and an incredibly beautiful pool. The room was huge with two king sized beds.

The wifi was spotty and when the place filled up on the weekend the hot water was gone.

The most beautiful facilities ever

The facilities are the most beautiful and artsy I have seen in a hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfy. People are really friendly, both the staff and the guests. The food is delicious, although I think it is overpriced. The pool was my absolute favorite.

Everything was exceptional, clean and beautifully decorated. Food was pricey though and the dynamic for food being only available with reservation should have been notified previous to the arrival because the guests had to wait until dinner to eat. I know that the web page may have the information but for those of us booking through Booking or seeing the page on Facebook that information is not visible and was not included in the email automatically sent after the reservaation. In general communication host - guest should improve. It was very difficult for me to get ahold of someone to ask for the menu days before the stay, as well as to ask about a special situation. Also after them checking the room after we checked out, nobody came to let us know they were done with it, until they noticed we were hanging at the lobby for a while.

Lovely place. Out of this world.

Everything. The pool is amazing the grounds deco, the staff and the gallo pinto!

The shower. We were in Amapola and the shower had no pressure at all. Water would come out crazy and there was no hot water. We wished we knew before sleeping with the ac on all night. It was a freezer + cold water. It wasn’t the most pleasant experience.

Beautiful place

Beautiful scenery, peace and quiet. The pool is lovely and has 3 smaller ambiances. The food is very good, a little expensive like everything in CR. Staff was kind and communicative.

The superior king bed was two beds pushed together to make one. And not very comfortable. No TV, no fridge. You can't consume food or alcohol brought from outside the hotel.
