Leaving a piece of my heart there!

Serendipity in one word! Peace that this home exudes is beyond your imagination. Loved the scenic view and the way the host's treated us. It felt like home away from home. Definitely visiting them again. And not forget the yummy Pahadi food they fed us. It was simple, basic yet wholesome with all their love to feed us :)

Location and food was just awesome.

Difficult to locate the property and road to the property is very poor. Try to check in during day time. It is very dangerous to drive after sunset.

Excellent room, non intrusive hosts, good food.

The host is very helpful in trying to locate the property. Mountain roads being tricky, she helped us with clear directions and even sent us a hand drawn map of the roads. Ours was a last minute booking and yet the host ensured there was hot food for us when we arrived late in the evening. We had booked the master suite which had a panoramic view of the valley and apple plantation below. The meals were reasonably priced and very tasty and the host team is very accommodating, courteous and non-intrusive in general.

There is no private parking on the property. However, the host helps in finding a public parking, Also while there is hot water 24/7, the suite was missing a shower so bucket and hand mug it was. :)

Peaceful, welcoming, beautiful. Can't wait to come back.

We give this place our highest recommendation. The view is beautiful 24hrs a day. Cheog is peaceful, with kind welcoming people. The family who hosted us, as well as the caretaker, were so helpful, kind, generous, and welcoming. The food was incredible, home cooked on site, as was the curd, made from the milk of the cows on site. I was allowed to help with milking! The location is so lovely for getting away. It is not too hard to get to Shimla by bus, or you can get anywhere by taxi. This place is such good value, we enjoyed our stay so much, we really hope we can come back.

Awesome homestay with warm hosts n delicious food

The homestay was exceptional. Key points: excellent view from the room, cozy n spacious rooms, delicious homecooked food, warm hosts and furry friends named Ruby n roofus. The stay was awesome, Peaceful n trouble free. P.s. go for the standard room, delux room doesn't comes with a balcony. I switched rooms as it was available at that time.

It was a vacation straight out of a fairytale

The food was delicious, the warmth of the staff and the hosts was exceptional. All my requests were taken care of promptly and the entire team went out of their way to ensure that I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay

Enjoyed my stay!

Great staff! Great food! Beautiful property and the owners were really friendly as well! Would recommend this place to those who want to detox from the city hustle and buzz! It's a calm and quiet place. However, there's not much to do outside of the property. Everything is really far away.. so if you plan on staying indoors, this will work for you! If you want to explore, this is way far out of the heart of Shimla and getting there will take time and transport.

A cute haven in an apple orchard!

Everything at this particular property is just perfect. Ruby... one of two dogs at the property is a literary a darling:) The host are so welcoming. The caretaker Arjun is one gem of a person.. Very helpful & hardworking. Food at this property was just lip smacking & homely. I still cannot get over with a suji ka hawla made in pure desi ghee. Worthy spending time at this property if you wanna stay away from the hustle&bustle of the main city(Shimla)

Must stay for at least a day!

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect homestay. We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days and loved it every bit. Secluded from the hustle of the city it is the perfect place if you are looking to explore nature and to unwind for a while. Lucky us, we witnessed sunshine on one day and rain on the other. We had an amazing time. The food there is esp good. Do give it a try. If I visit Shimla again, I would still like to stay there. Special thanks to our caretaker bhaiya and his kids who showed us around in the woods. Had a perfect stay.

The staff and the hospitality was amazing. The best part was the view from the room. Who wouldn't love to see the sunrise from enormous windows in your room. So mesmerizing!
