The outside of this property is nothing like the pictures. Grass is nonexistent and a good part of the yard is dirt. Fence is not safe for small dogs due to spaces under fence and hikes in side fence. Could not sit in outdoor furniture as it was sticky with sap from the trees.
We have been renting in Cape May for over 25 years and this had to be the least equipped. First off if there is no dishwasher it should be noted since most houses these days have one. The listing noted there was a coffee maker which actually was a Keurig machine. The listing should have been clear about that since we brought ground coffee and filters which turned out useless. We had to go out and buy pops. Kitchen cabinets installed higher than normal which made it difficult to reach even the lowest shelf. Perhaps a step stool to help accommodate people.
In all our years renting we have never experienced a home with such limited kitchen equipment. Limited glass ware. Found it strange that there wasn’t even a chip clip or a few leftover containers. Usually renting this late in the season items are typically left behind by previous renters such as baggies, plastic wrap, etc but nope nothing which seemed rather strange.
Don’t even try to shower outside unless you want to flash the neighbors. If you are going the use a regular shower curtain on an outdoor shower perhaps figure out a way to secure it when windy.
Driveway location bad. Contractors should up on our stay, not cool.

The house was great. Easy walking distance to many places. Clean house and the fenced in yard was perfect for the pups. Highly recommend.

The accommodation was clean and cozy on a quiet street within walking distance of downtown Cape May. To note, I rented during the shore's off-season so the street was very quiet and traffic was very light. This property comes with parking though which would make renting during the height of the season a breeze.
I love that the space was dog-friendly. The yard was fenced in so I could let my dog run around safely and there was a nearby dog park, too.
We had one minor issue and I reached out to the host. They immediately responded and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and their prompt communication made the entire experience seamless.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this place.

As described. In a great location for walking about Cape May. Closely situated to other homes and a motel but surprisingly quiet. Enjoyed our stay.

Cottage was very clean and had everything you need. The best part was the location-- 2 blocks to the mall and supermarket. Enjoyed our stay.

Location was great. Close to grocery store and all the restaurants / shops. Beach was a longer walk but very doable. The backyward was a decent size for the pups but musquitos were insane and not very usable by the humans ( my son got destroyed). The back sliding door was off track and they were quick to respond and brought a sliding screen door. That kept falling off track too but atleast kept the bugs out. The master bed was comfortable but the twins were not .

This confortable house with nice fenced in back yard for our dog was perfect for a weekend with friends. Great location - we parked the cars and walked everywhere (although it is 8+ blocks walk to the beach). Close to shops, restaurants, culture, Historical homes & the park. We would love to come back!

Even though we stayed here in April and it was a little cool we had an amazing time. The cottage is located really close to town and walkable. It was very clean and comfortable

The location was close to the Washington Street market place and places to eat. Beach was half a mile from the house. Beautiful walk to all places. House had everything you need except for linens which was not a big deal at all. Also home was pet friendly and had a fenced back yard for your pet to run around in.
Owner was very responsive and delightful. Would definitely come back!

This place seemed spacious because of how it's arranged and decorated. We also enjoyed the beautiful backyard and deck, where we had our morning coffee. No amenities lacking. Walked to mall. We'd stay again!

A quiet, tucked away little house, close to everything. We rode our bikes everywhere and left the car at the house. Dog friendly (though we didn't bring ours). Lots of secure windows for light and cross-breeze.
We binged a netflix series; one of us on the couch, one in the chair. Our giant cooler made for the perfect coffee table. (Tip: Turn wifi off all devices for netflix to load properly on TV).

The property is nicely kept, in a pretty good location for walking to the beach or town shopping/restaurants. The backyard area was great for chatting outside in the evening. The cost was a bit high since linens and towels were not provided and the fees for cleaning and "service" added up. I had a one night stay and had to pay $59 for a property damage protection vs. the proposed alternative of some ridiculous amount of money for a security deposit that would have been returned to me. I didn't feel comfortable giving the owner that much money, even with the guarantee of it coming back to me. Overall, the place and location were great and we enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely time staying at this 2 bedroom cottage. It was well maintained and very clean. It can be difficult finding a nice place that is dog friendly, so this was exactly what we needed. Our dog was very happy with the fenced in yard! The cottage is in walking distance to everything, as well. Definitely recommend!

I've been coming to Cape May for years and absolutely loved this perfectly cute little house in a great location! Easy access to everything, clean, and the outdoor shower was a wonderful extra to have. I would definitely stay again and again!! The twin beds are quite squeaky if you have light sleepers in your group.

We stayed in this property before and we were happy to come back. It’s in a great location. Walking distance to everything. Nice outdoor area. I had a couple silly questions for the owners and she answered right away and was so friendly!

Convenient and pet friendly
We’ve been going to CAPEMAY for decades. The properties location and dog friendly was the big feature.
Pros- two blocks from Acme(grocery store) and Washington Mall, which has amazing Gelato(Ciones), beach was only a 10-15 minute walk.
Didn’t need our vehicle once parked.
Cons-did not come with complimentary annual beach tags, additional $20 per person, veteran/active duty free. Lack of storage in master bedroom, two night stands and a good size closet with 5 hangers. Also, had weeds growing up from crawl space into laundry closet and hallway closet. Rear patio sliding door was very difficult to slide and did not close properly.

Great Getaway
The cottage is located very close to the Washington St. walking Mall. There are lots of great shops and restaurants. There are also two wineries located a short drive away. The cottage is secluded back from the street.

Quaint getaway
We enjoyed being able to find a property in Cape May that suited our family size. We have an infant and a pup that we know loves the town. We were all able to enjoy our first long weekend away since adding pur son and the house just led to the calmness and ease we needed. Kristen was very responsive when we reached out too. .

Long weekend
We come to cape may every September for a long weekend. Water is the warmest and the crowds are less. This was our first VRBO we stayed in for our annual fall trip. We chose it because it was dog friendly, and with a toddler and 2 dogs, it was time to upgrade from the usual hotel stay!
This cottage was perfect. In a great walking distance location to everything and just the right size for our family. The fenced in yard was a great size for the dogs too!
Check in was confusing as the house number was different as the listing, but overall was easy peasy.
Unfortunately the yard had a major mosquito problem and despite the candles and spraying every time we walked outside, my toddler and I were bitten like crazy.
The house was very clean, which was great and much appreciated. Everything we needed was there and accessible.
Overall a good stay and would stay again!

Cape May Hidden Gem
We had a great long weekend over Labor Day here! The location is a bit far from the beach if you have small kids and a lot to bring so we drove down to the beach which we didn’t mind doing. The house is walking distance to restaurants and shops. It was clean and comfortable. The fenced in yard was great for our two dogs. Definitely will be staying here again. We loved it! Thank you for your hospitality!
