We enjoyed our stay at Casa Maravilla very much! The area where the casita was located was very quiet and peaceful. We loved hearing the church bells chime on the hour! Tara greeted us when we arrived and was very nice and welcoming. The homemade scones she had left for us in the fridge were delicious! We had plenty of room for all our stuff without feeling crowded. The bathroom was exceptionally spacious and had a stacking washer/dryer tucked away in a closet off the bathroom. Very convenient! Another extra touch that I really appreciated was the portable 2-sided makeup mirror. It's a small detail, but it made it so much easier to do my makeup in the morning! The bed was a little on the soft side, but comfortable. The sofa was also very comfortable and supportive. I had been a little worried about the lack of air conditioning, but there was no need to worry at all. The house truly did stay a comfortable temperature, even when it was hot outside. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare simple meals. We loved having our evening meal out on the covered patio every evening. We had a minor issue arise with the water pressure, but Tara and Jean were very responsive and quickly solved the problem to our satisfaction. Thank you, Tara and Jean, for a wonderful stay!

We loved the relaxing setting of this terrific house. It was great for the two of us as we explored Taos. It offered a good mix of being conveniently located near the plaza, but also in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Casa Maravilla is one of the best VRBOs we have stayed at! The house is cozy & inviting, exactly like the pictures. What you don’t see are the personal touches that make it extra special-from the delicious scones to the TJ’s bath products. The kitchen has a lot of extras that you don’t always see in a rental (fresh flowers, spices, Saran Wrap, ziplock bags, etc…). Tara met us at the house to welcome us & explain some things about the house. This was very thoughtful. The view is more rural & country than mountain but it is very peaceful & private. Would definitely recommend & stay here again too!

We loved the peacocks and other birds!

Very nice home in a very quiet area close to the Square. We enjoyed resting in the quiet after our ride on the ski lift in Taos Ski Valley and a visit to the Rio Grande Gorge. We enjoyed great food in town and also small bites at home. We were very comfortable.

Very lovely casita inside and out. Super comfortable bed. Tara and Jean are really lovely people too. If you like seclusion this will be an excellent place to find it while still being close to the activities around Taos.

Casa Maravilla is well-designed, lovely, comfortable, has great views of surrounding mountains, meadows, sunsets, is nearby to services and downtown Taos, and in short had everything we needed for a pleasant, worry-free stay.
The hosts were also very responsive.
What more can we say? This cottage was practically perfect in every way.

We simply adored our stay at Casa Maravilla. The secluded location was great and the hot tub felt wonderful after a hike up to Williams Lake. The scones in the fridge upon arrival was the icing on the cake.

Quiet and cozy getaway in a perfectly appointed casita. The house was clean with plenty of space for the two of us. A lovely place to come back to and relax after a long day of skiing. Would absolutely stay here again!

Not easy to find but once you do you’ll love it. Cozy and well maintained this out of the way adobe house was a beautiful private retreat.
Surrounded by trees and farmland, the quiet and stars at night were amazing all the time being minuets from the plaza and stores.
Loved the hot tub. We will definitely stay here again if in Taos.

We enjoyed our stay at this casita. You drive down a dirt road that can stay snowy and icy after other roads have cleared because it is shaded. It is the last house down the small drive after you pass an adobe looking house on the right. The hot tub was clean, the bed is on the soft side and the bedding was all cotton and light and airy. We slept great and it was very quiet. We put the futon out and kept it out in the living room which made it very cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the Super Save in town had the best and cheapest produce and food. Very short drive to Cids and to town. Highly recommend this quaint home. The walk in tiled shower is amazing and all the floors are concrete and heated throughout the house. Quite the find and very private. Saw a shooting star while in the hot tub so great experience.

The casita has everything you need and many special touches. We definitely felt like we experienced the beauty and vibe of Taos by staying here. Thank you Tara and Jean!

My husband and I are frequent visitors to Taos, and had tried to get a reservation here several times. It’s a popular choice for good reason. It’s a welcoming, peaceful place with friendly owners nearby should anything questions arise. It has all the necessities one needs and is just well done all around.

The property is charming, exactly as shown in the photos. It was lovely to be welcomed by a plate of fresh homemade scones which we ate on the sunlit patio with a view of irises and a green field. It was a perfect respite from city life. The home was well appointed and comfortable. The location was ideal, very close to the center of town as well as sights such as the Taos Pueblo and the Rio Grande Gorge, where we saw many big horn sheep grazing at sunset. Thank you Tara and Jean Jacques for a wonderful lodging experience!

I could write a book about how much we love Casa Maravilla - It is definitely the best place we have ever rented. This was our second visit. Here are a few highlights:
- Has all of the natural beauty of the country but is a short walk to the fun of downtown Taos
- Is beautiful inside and out, simple and elegant, LOVE the large front porch/table set up.
- Tara and Jean are lovely!
- The nearest neighborhood is historic and fun to walk around
We can't wait to come back again!

Great little casita tucked away in a rural corner of town, well constructed and nicely furnished. The super comfortable bed and quiet surroundings made for a restful stay. The kitchen is very well stocked and communication with the host was outstanding, we would definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend, another couple, and I spent a birthday weekend in Taos. This was the perfect place to stay between Taos Ski Valley and downtown. We enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub after skiing!
The host took extra steps to have scones and milk for coffee waiting in the fridge. They also provided extra towels when we asked for some. Very comfortable stay.

This was our fourth trip to Toas and this was our favorite of all the places we have stayed. The Casita was wonderful and we loved that we could walk to town.

Casa Maravilla was the perfect retreat for an autumn Taos getaway. Close to hiking trails, the ski valley (JUST missed the Aspens!), rock climbing areas and all the amenities you would need downtown. The space was super cozy and clean and even though the temps dropped into the 20s, we weren't ever chilled. Great communication with Tara and Jean. They have clearly put a lot of love and care into this place!

This spot, and the hosts, are a gift. Every detail of the indoor and outdoor space is tended with care and is a perfect place to rest, rejuvenate, and from which to access the beauty of Taos and the land around it. We are grateful.

This charming casita feels like it's worlds away rural Northern New Mexico, but it's walking distance to Taos Plaza, an easy drive to other must-do area attractions, and convenient to all the modern necessities (grocery, gas station, etc.). Superb communication with hosts.

The property was as advertised and really enjoyed the hot tub. Follow owners instructions to get to the property as GPS take you around a much longer trip. Owner provided many items in refrigerator and kitchen had everything you might need for cooking.

Perfect summer escape
We had a very peaceful stay at this beautiful casita. The size was perfect for our family of 4 including two small kids. This was one of the better supplied VRBO’s we have stayed in, everything from soap for the washing machine to a mixer in the kitchen was right where we needed it. The shady porch was perfect for enjoying breakfast or reading in the afternoon, and the hot tub was piping hot every time we used it. We loved our stay and our expectations were exceeded!

Great Place!
This is a very nice house and easy to relax in. The owners were available and accommodating, yet offered privacy at the same time. The house is in a very quiet area, but within a short walk to the plaza.
The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals and the outside grill and patio seating made for a memorable experience.
The living room was nice and cool during the hot afternoon, and the tv had all the apps needed to watch and show and relax until the temps cooled in the evening.
We will definitely stay again!
