I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Vaso Apartments in Platanias, Crete, and I must say it was an absolute dreamy retreat. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the beauty and tranquility that this accommodation offered. The location couldn't have been more perfect - just a stone's throw away from the stunning beach yet tucked away in a quiet street. It's also conveniently close to local shops, restaurants, and bars, but most importantly so close to the public commute for Chania. The accommodation was impeccably clean and beautifully designed, overlooking the lush garden and the beach. One of the highlights of Vaso Apartments is its Crystal Wave bare and restaurant where you can get delicious local food. Katerina spoiled us rotten with her famous breakfast every morning 😊. What truly sets Vaso Apartments apart is the warm and welcoming hospitality of the hosts. Katerina and her family go above and beyond to ensure that guests have a memorable stay. They were always on hand to provide recommendations for local activities, assist with transportation, and make sure every need was met. Our stay at Vaso Apartments in Platanias, Crete, was nothing but perfect. From the idyllic location to the beautifully appointed apartments, and the exceptional hospitality, this accommodation exceeded my expectations in every way.

Nice apartment with balcony and seaview. Everything was new. Very nice bathroom (with rainshower) and kitchen and plenty of hot water.
1 minute from the beach and this part was not crowded. Even if the studio have a nice and well equipped kitchen it is good to that the place has a resturant. Very friendly host :). Hope to be able to come back and will then stay here again.

We just love it ! It is an apartment , with one bedroom with door and one open living room with kitchen ( the living room has 2 twin beds so enough space for 4 people in the entire apartment). It has a small kitchen, with coffee machine, fridge, silverware and plates, closets in each room, iron. There is an AC in both rooms and the bathroom is big enough.
The building is on the beach, and the cost of 2 sunbeds and one umbrella on the beach administered by Crystal wave is 7 euro.
The building is in a quiet zone so you are able to sleep very well but just 5 minutes walking from the city centre and bus station. All the restaurants and tavernas and 3 minutes away.
Bedsheets and towels were changed during our stay and daily cleaning was done.
We had a late night flight so we were able to leave our luggage and change before going to the airport.
Katharina is a very nice person, very friendly and she is always there if you need something.
We found also a little welcome present in the appartement: a bottle of Raki and fresh oranges from her Garten.

The room was very clean, big bed , decorated home style and I like cool 😎 and shade tarace outside. The owner Katherina very friendly, she welcomed me with a big smile 😃 every day . The hotel was only 3 min walk to the beach with amazing view on Platanias beach . Highly recommend this stay. I will b back . Anita

I loved everything about the room, enough space for 1-2 people.
Excellent location a few steps to the beach and a minute away from the main road where you have all the shops, can it ask for anything more.
And Katerina was super nice, she kindly waited up for me as I had a late flight which was delayed.
I loved everything about Vaso Apartment, my only thing to mention is the WiFi strength is low. Which is good and bad, as It keeps me off my phone.

Katerina was very kind, the studio was great, everything was extremely clean, and the location was ideal. I was a moment from the sea on one side and the shops & the friends I'd come to see on the other, so it was perfect for me.

First of all, Katerina, the owner, is a very helpful and caring host and she makes you feel safe during the whole stay. This is a family business and everyone does their best to make your holiday even more pleasant. Our room wasn't very big but it was clean, cosy, well-equipped and had a nice veranda suitable for taking a rest in the evening. So we had everything we expected. If you need anything else or have any other request you can always turn to Katerina and she'll try to help. There is also a restaurant in front of the beach, where the tasty breakfast is served (note that it's not included but it's definitely worth its price). In general the food was amazing, not only moussaka. Everyone should try some yoghurt with Bergamot orange prepared by Katerina's mother (check the photo please). It's worth mentioning that there is also a private parking near the appartments so no need to worry about parking lot. Really great and highly recommended place.

Location was perfect close to the beach and main road, yet on a quiet street. The owner was friendly and took my criticism of the room well. She also offered to cancel the whole reservation without charge but I was too tired to try to search for a new place and dragging my bags again to another location.
The room was not a "sea view" as advertised on Booking but a street/garage view. Felt kind of screwed because I booked it mainly because of the sea view, as a gift for my 40'th bday. Of course you can see the sea if you turn around and look further away behind the other verandas and restaurant but that should be labelled differently than "sea view". There was no balcony but a small veranda at the entrance, directly opposing to the other building balcony where people can see directly to the room. So you didnt really have any privacy in the room if you wanted to keep the door open. There was one small window facing a corridor where other guests walk by and dry their close right next to the window so also that window had to be covered by a curtain, otherwise people can see directly in the room. So basically you were in dark room most of the time. But I guess that is fine if you just go there to sleep. Wifi connection was too bad in the room and didnt work practically at all during my whole stay, so make sure you have good mobile data service in your own phone. In the kitchenette, there was no salt/oil to cook, no dish washing liquid to wash the dishes. Also the cleaner lady didnt wash the dishes when she cleaned rest of the room so basically if you cooked you had to leave your dirty plates etc. in the sink or wash only with water.

The owner is really friendly and helpful. The room was really cosy and cleaned every day. The location is perfect, less than 1 minutes walk from the shore. The hospitality is excellent: as a welcome gift they gave us a small bottle of Raki and a big bowl of orange :).

The location is excellent, very close to the beach. The beach is furnished with deckchairs and umbrellas, ideal for relaxing by the sea, because it is a quiet and peaceful place. The place and the restaurant is managed by the family of Katerina, who is a very nice person that gave us a lot of good advices and informations about the places we should visit. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very tasty. For lunch, I suggest you choose the famous specialty moussaka cooked by Katerina's mother. We will definitely come back here!

In my opinion the apartment looks even better in reality then on pictures – more cozy. It was very clean.
The kitchen contains all necessary equipment. Bathroom is modern and big enough.
After I booked apartments I realized smoking is allowed in the apartment. I was afraid of cigarettes smell inside as I don’t smoke. I was positively surprised because there was no cigarettes smell inside at all! They really care of maintaining cleanness of the apartment on high level.
The apartment consist of two rooms. Each of the room has own air condition which was very convenient.
Perfect location – very close to the beach (approx. 50 meters) and comparable distance to the main street of Platanias with full of shops, restaurants, cafes. Although the apartment is close to the town centre it was quiet as its located in a small street far enough from the main street’s noise.
The beach which is close to apartment is not very wide but for me it was an advantage as it wasn’t crowded.

The host Katerina was really kind and ready to help and fulfill all the requests we had. the place is near the see and has several apartments in 2 floors, we were upstairs and it was really comfortable. The street is very calm and quiet far from the main busy street of Platanias. Bathroom super and new, room a little small but very cozy and perfect for our 3 days stay, wish I stayed more. parking included. I recommend it for sure!

Katerina has definitely set the bar when it comes to apartments. Everything was perfect - from the impeccable cleanliness, to the politeness and the comfort. If we ever come back to Crete, Vaso apartments would be our first choice.
The room is perfectly clean and the staff is more than friendly. The bathroom has been recently renovated and the amenity is cleaned daily.
Katerina has welcomed us with a generous smile and a few raki shots (very delicious).
She has been available anytime we needed anything.
We have traveled a lot, but "Vaso apartments" is really something special.
We are more than satisfied with everything.

I liked everything. Katarina, her family and staff are very friendly people, they will always help, prompt around the clock, completely surround you with care and warmth.The location is just super, you live by the sea, I recommend the Crystal Wave restaurant next to the apartment, especially Mussaka! At the same time, it is quiet, the center of Platanias is nearby, all supermarkets are there, walk 100 meters. The apartment has everything as described, clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back here!

Katerina the host was lovely and very warm. The place is very near to the beach and also close to a lot of pubs and restaurants. It is still a very quiet area and value for money. Place was spotless and was worth every penny. Thanks to the host!! :)
