We rented Aenaon Seaview Villa for a week; two adults and 4 teenagers. The house is very well equipped, with everyting we needed, both in the house and for trips to the beach. We were met by the owners when we arrived. They drove our luggage up to the house (due to the very narrow streets one would not want to drive the very last part with ones own car), and showed us around the house. They also gave us tips for trips in the area as well as restaurants etc. They were very helpful and answered without delay when we messaged them with questions during our stay. There is a big veranda on the main floor, where we had our breakfast and some of our dinners, and upstairs the teenagers would use the smaller balcony to have some private time in the evenings. The beach, shops and restaurants are just a couple of minutes walk from the house.
We have no complaints about Aenaon. The house is situated on a small hill, which gives a fantastic view and a cooling breeze on the balcony in the afternoon. If you´re in bad health or have a disability, it might be a problem walking the last 50 meters up to the house from the shops and the beach. For most people, however, this will not be an issue:)

New construction and tastefully done with very high-end finishes and great “technology” (appliances, A/Cs, security etc). Beautiful views of the sea from the balcony. Our host was very helpful with planning things to do, places to see and restaurants to try.
The parking is not far but the property is up a steep hill and it’s too narrow to get the car up there.

We are very happy that our family stayed in a villa with a fantastic view and modern design for 2 weeks.
General benefits:
- Very friendly hosts! Shared information about Crete, helped a lot with baggage on check-in on a first day, included a free cleaning service after 1 week of our stay (2 in total), lighting fast messaging and communication.
- Villa was super clean, modern, and fresh
- Super easy check-out
- Location is very good (free parking, old town, best restaurants)
Indoor benefits:
- All equipment is modern and fresh
- 4 air conditioners
- 3 fridges: big fridge with ICE MAKER!!!, vine fridge, and third fridge on top between 2 rooms. It's nice if you are too lazy to go downstairs for a cold beer ;-)
- 3 comfortable bathrooms with shower: one on a ground floor and two on a second floor. It's great if you have a big family
- Kitchen has all stuff you need for a comfortable stay. In addition, would like to mention: 8 types of glasses, 5 types of plates, dishwashing machine, items for a BBQ.
Outdoor benefits:
- Villa has 3 terraces: the terrace on top is great for the morning on wake-up, on ground floor there are 2 terraces: huge main terrace in front (with 2 tables, BBQ, Hanging Chair), second terrace on back side is suitable for a hiding from a sunlight. We spend most of the time on a main terrace, and it's extremely spectaculars ~1 hour before and after sunset. Please, don't miss that time.
- We parked our car on a free public parking because there are always a lot of free space, ~2-5 min walking time (we not used parking close to villa due to a narrow road).
None, except: At some point you will realize that vacation is over, and you need to check-out, but you want to stay more in Aenaon Seaview Villa ;-)

Our fantastic stay in Aenaon Seaview Villa started right after we booked it. The hosts contacted us shortly after, and gave us lots of input about the place, and things to do in Crete. This made us confident right from the start that we had picked good hosts.
The hosts were quick at answering our questions. They even helped us with booking tickets for the Samarin Gourge and filled up the fridge before we arrived. Grocery costs were of course covered by us. Suggested taxi companies etc.
You can read so many stories about people booking vacation houses which turn out to be non-existing. We were sure from when booked the house that we were not one of those unfortunate ones.
The house has a great location overlooking Platanias and the sea. A bit away from the busy main street, which is good, but still close to restaurants and other shops you would like to be close to. Not knowing much about Crete, this was our first visit, we were amazed about how many restaurants we had to choose from, just a few min walk from the house.
It took us about 5 min to go to the beach. There we tried out parasailing, water scooters, snorkelling. We found a bar/pool place where we spent almost every day renting sun beds either on the beach or by the pool. With our 3 kids age, 16, 16 and 18, this turned out to be a very good solution to not having access to our own pool, which we usually have when we rent a vacation house abroad.
As mentioned, the house is amazing. That goes for everything like location, delicate interior, thick luxury towels, ac, comfortable beds, refrigerator, whine cooler which is filled up with different whines which we could buy, spacious terraces, wifi. The house was cleaned twice during our 12 day stay, which was fantastic and not something we have had earlier when renting a house. We missed nothing during our stay and hated to leave when our stay was over.
The hosts, Elda and Alex, surprised us with a dinner invitation the last evening.

The flat and the view from the balcony are very amazing. We were very well welcome by the host that gave us information concerning the things to do in Platanias. The communication with the host was easy (he is very responsive). In summary, we had a perfect stay in this flat and we highly recommend this place!
