About this house rental
Fabulous rustic lake property on Cayuga Lake (circa 1890) only 2.5 miles from downtown Ithaca. 330 feet of frontage with full sun all day and awesome sunsets. Huge dock! Hot tub! Deep water! Incredible lawns and surprisingly private. Age requirement for guests (excluding kids) is 35+.
In case it is not clear in the booking process, our nightly rate is for 2 people and it is an additional $75 per night per person over 2 people, up to our maximum of 6 people.
Our lake house has 5 bedrooms:
Queen Master bedroom downstairs.
King Master bedroom upstairs.
2 Queen bedrooms upstairs.
1 Full size bedroom upstairs.
And we have 2.5 baths (one downstairs, one upstairs and 1/2 bath in third floor attic).
Our hot tub sits on the water's edge and our dock is HUGE, with a covered seating portion and water slide.
Ithaca is a wonderful small town in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Home to Cornell University, Ithaca College, many wineries and a rich culture, Ithaca is a great town to visit!
We have plenty of room for parking (another bonus)! Can fit 5 cars pretty easily. Public transportation does not make its way up the lake. But you an always walk down the railroad tracks 2 miles right into town. Or, you can paddle your way to the Ithaca Farmer's Market, to Stewart Park, Cass Park or Allan Treman State Park.

Our daughter graduated from Ithaca and we booked this home for our family to all be together. Lovely lake location and convenient to campus and town. Cooked at home to stay out of the graduation crowds and the kitchen was very nice set up with all that we would need. Stay here . . . You will LOVE it!

The house was as described and pictured, a mix of old school charm with modern upgrades. The dock is amazing and great for hanging out inside or outside. Close to food and hiking.

Awesome spot to decompress after stressful college daily tours during a snow filled winter weekend. Amazing home that has a lot of stories to tell. The huge ceilings, beautiful refinished floors, outdoor porches at every level, comfy beds, and plenty of space for our mature dogs to explore off lead. The owner is great! We cannot wait to revisit in warm weather. Highly recommend :)

We were up for a week hoping for snow for our dogs, no snow but a great house. Zach couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! The beds were comfortable. The house was in a good location and the dock is amazing. The driveway is steep so please follow the drive in instructions. Thanks again Zach for your quick responses and the great home away from home.

The four of us, all adults, had a relaxing stay during an historic winter storm that pummeled parts of the state. The wind was cold, but we figured out how to use supplemental heaters that were plenty adequate. We enjoyed the hot tub, which we are not familiar with, and somehow the heat setting got set for a standby mode, so it was not hot enough to use for most of the stay.
Our host was hospitable and welcoming.

Plenty of room. Lovely views.

This house is truly lakefront and well-equipped! Couldn't have asked for more - we were a short drive to Cornell as well as the wineries, and got to enjoy the huge dock and lake amenities. We had tons of space, as well. The house has everything you could want. Zach mentions in his listing, but just want to emphasize, that driveway is not for the faint of heart! But follow his instructions and you'll survive :)

Charming historic lake house! Beautiful views from every deck with plenty of seating. The yard and dock provided hours of enjoyment for our family. Overall very comfortable with everything that we needed.

Great hosts and location! The house is rustic and charming but maybe not a good fit for anyone afraid of spiders or snakes. Driveway is a bit tricky too. It was convenient to get to Cornell and has very nice views.

We rented the property for IC Parent's weekend. Zack was a wonderful host! The property is absolutely gorgeous! There is a a bedroom on the first floor which was perfect for my elderly in-laws.

The description of the property does not do it justice. Amazing waterfront property with everything that you need for a great time by the lake, and convenient to Ithaca. Only warning is about driveway entrance, short, steep and crooked, but we all survived. Zach was available for any questions that we had and a great host. We lucked out with the weather for a great graduation weekend.

We had a lovely 4 day weekend at this lake house. The views, particularly the sunsets, are amazing. The house had available pretty much anything you needed for recreation (life vests, kayaks, fishing gear) and the swings at the end of the dock were a lot of fun. I gently caution potential guests to understand the information that Zach very plainly discloses about the angle of the driveway. Despite having ample warnings (and I appreciate him making sure we were aware of the best way to approach the driveway) the angle is such that if your car is fairly low to the ground you may have scraping. Wouldn’t be a big deal for a SUV but I imagine something like a sports car would have trouble. We drove a minivan and scraped 4 out of 6 times. Just something to consider when planning your trip.
The home itself is older and decorated in a rustic/eclectic way, which was very nice. The kitchen was adequate and open to the living room, which was perfect for our gathering.
Zach was friendly and approachable.
I would return again (maybe in an SUV next time).

Lovely place on the lake, great views. Though it was too cold when we visited, I can imagine that this will be a lot of fun in warmer weather
