About this house rental

This is a 20 year old custom built home that has the homey architectural feel of the Craftsman style. There are brand-new wood tile floors throughout the main living area and brand new carpet in all bedrooms and upstairs. The two bedrooms upstairs have beautifully lofted ceilings for an open feel. There are plenty of windows so it is light and airy inside.
Our home is located about 1 mile southeast of the Hwy 1 and Hwy 20 intersection. This location makes it easy to drive to Ft. Bragg for shopping, beaches and activities if you head north and to Casper, Cabrillo lighthouse and the Village of Mendocino if you turn south.
The house has a spacious kitchen and nice open floor plan with a large private patio and BBQ. The patio has plenty of outdoor seating and a table for outdoor dining. The backyard is great for exploring!! The front porch has seating also and is a great place to catch the morning sun.
The bedrooms and bathrooms have quality bedding, comforters and towels. We can handle 2-4 more quests ( prefer them to be children) than the 3 beds accommodate - on air mattresses. You must supply the air mattress although there are extra linens for your use (Queen and Twin). Our garage is a private space and is unavailable for use. Home has washer/ dryer and dishwasher. TV/DVD/VCR available, WiFi and a Radio and CD player.Pets are welcome but with consideration of not pet guests we ask that pets stay off of furniture and beds
The property is 1.1 acres and fenced (although not to keep a pet in line) It is large and flat with seasonal lawn on 2 sides and a natural area in the back - great for kids to run around.
Unfortunately our fireplace is not working at this time
The two upstairs bathrooms have large soak tubs.
Please be aware that next door to us is a home based business that makes crab pots and fishing nets. It is not a noisy business but there is a bit of auto traffic going to their property

We have enacted rigorous cleaning procedures to keep our renters safe and healthy.

Mara home is comfortable and cozy. All the beds were like sleeping on clouds. The kitchen had anything and everything you could possibly need. Beautiful, peaceful property, with a welcoming backyard setting.

Three couples, all senior citizens, came to enjoy the area and visit family. It is the perfect location, private, roomy , lovely outdoor area. The home is well appointed with all the kitchen and bath items, laundry room and parking.

Mara has a beautiful place with a well equipped kitchen and a big backyard. The house is very close to the main street in Fort Bragg and yet it is peaceful and very serene. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to future travelers

We surprised my aunt with a birthday trip to Fort Bragg and this house was perfect! The location is amazing, and the house was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. There were only the 3 of us (my aunt, cousin and I) so there was more than enough room. While the house was close to everything we wanted to do, it felt like it was off the beaten path because the area was so quiet and beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again.

The house is exquisitely decorated with interesting art and beautiful paint colors on the walls. We did find the lock box challenging (if would be great if it were at eye height rather than requiring us to bend over and attempt to see the codes at an awkward angle) and a more detailed information sheet on where to find kitchen objects would be helpful. Also, the house is definitely not a beach house although that's it's name! However, these are small points. Rooms were lovely, beds very comfortable. Very enjoyable! .

Great location. So close to everything! Pretty property. Spotlessly clean house. Every amenity you could ever want! (Coffee makers, all types, panini machine, slow cooker, the list goes on…) Mara was a great communicator. We cannot wait to come back next year!

This was the best vacation home we have rented! It’s very family friendly , even with our dogs. The house is centrally located yet still private. We spent a lot of time on the big patio where Grammy did crafts with her 3 granddaughters. At night we used the portable fire pit and had s’mores. It was a great trip and lots of new memories were made. I highly recommend this house, especially for families! Thank you Mara for sharing your lovely property and thanks to Ella for cleaning it!

Great home in great location. Very nice floor plan. Spotless overall. Close to town and ocean, yet very rural setting. Quiet. Wilson and I ran early both days along nearby back roads. Easy drive and access to Jackson Forest. Would stay again next visit.

Our family of 5 adults a toddler, and baby stayed here in November. The house was comfy and cute. Everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen was nice and large and we had so much fun making family dinners and baking cookies. Our 3 yr old loved playing outside every day and so did our dog. The location is great, too! We definitely recommend it!

East to find, full of everything you could need for a weekend stay. We enjoyed to fire pit/ring. Close to town and beaches. I had to leave a day early due to a + Covid test. I would rent this place again.

This rental was great for our group. Each had their own bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen was large and loved the morning sun that came through the bay window. House was well stocked and beds were very comfy. Quite but conveniently locate to Ft. Bragg and Mendocino. Excellent communication with the host. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

House fit us comfortably (6 adults, kids 9, 3, 3, and newborn, one dog) and was well stocked. Easy access to town and beaches/activities yet felt fairly remote. House was spotless and seems brand new. Everything was in working order. Will try to book again.

This craftsman style house was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Set back on the property, it has privacy from neighbors. The patios are well designed and the garden design is pleasing to the eye. We enjoyed picking a few raspberries for our breakfast each day! Already have our res for next year🥰

Location was perfect for exploring Mendocino and Fort Bragg, convenient with easy access to everything but not right in the middle of all the touristy stuff. Plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, lovely back patio, and lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Host was very kind and communication was great. Highly recommend this place.
