Skykomish River cabin is as beautiful in person as it is in photos! And the river is even better!! We had a wonderful time relaxing amongst mountain views and crystal clear water. Our only regret is that we did not bring tubes or floats, as the river was perfect for playing and the sun was hot and shining! The authentic log cabin is charming and lovely with attention to detail. The kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils, spices, etc. The 2 main bedrooms are very comfortable and the loft easily accommodates lots of kids. We had 4 young adult children (17-25) who slept in the common space loft and they found it to be sufficient and spacious. Lastly, there are plenty of amazing hikes and day trips in the area. It was a wonderful stay and we would recommend and return!

Great river access, comfortable cabin
REVIEW DETAIL
Our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids loved our time at this cabin! The inside space is comfortable and well-stocked and the outside space can't be beat. The deck and yard were great for both kid time and solo adult time and the access to the river is excellent with many rocks for skipping, exploring and building, a sandy-ish area with less rocks and slow moving water (great for the kids) and lots of space for fishing. The owner was very accessible and responded to messages quickly. Thank you for sharing this lovey space, we hope to be back soon!

Our last night at the cabin my husband and I were sitting by the fire looking up at an incredible scene of stars and I said “in our review of this place is it too much to say this cabin is what dreams are made of?” We decided it was the most accurate statement we could make about the cabin. It’s so perfect! My family had the most amazing time playing by the river, doing nearby hikes and having nightly fires with s’mores. We celebrated my birthday and our anniversary there with our kids and could not have had better days. My boys asked if we could live there and my husband and I want to return every summer. John and Lilah are very kind, helpful and communicative. Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us, we can’t wait to visit again!

We look forward to our visit to this beautiful cabin every year. The host is very helpful, the space is lovely and comfortable and the location and scenery can't be beat.
5.0
The cabin was clean, very well-appointed kitchen in a great setting. Loved sitting at the edge of the lawn overlooking the river as well as playing cards on the deck. Enjoyed soaking in the clean hot tub. Took a restful nap in one of the hammocks. First cabin we rented with a Traeger and Weber charcoal grill (versus Gas grill) which we liked. Oh, and Sir Dudley (our Dog) loved the veiw from hte deck.
5.0
The Lodge is beautiful, very clean, nicely decorated, but most of all very comfortable and relaxing. Our hosts were very responsive and friendly. The setting is spectacular, along the river and in the mountains! This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary. We thank the hosts for sharing their wonderful lodge.
4.0
Spent a few lovely days enjoying the quiet of the space and beauty of the river. The cabin was rustically styled, but very comfortable with everything one would need to enjoy and relax.
The hosts were very responsive and kind when I reached out after the power abruptly shut off the first evening (and I was sure I'd tripped the breaker as there was no weather), as well as when I could not for the life of me find the router to reset it and get the internet going. As I'm guessing that instructions on both those things, which had very quick resolutions, were included in the guest manual ( that I mistook for guest book for my entire stay and never opened), I should probably also include "patient" in my description of the host.
This is definitely a place I will come back to an enjoy!
5.0
Me and my two teen kids stayed a week at the lodge and had a wonderful time. It's a wonderful cabin, very clean and rustic but with modern amenities. I appreciated all the vintage touches and woodwork. Its a good base to explore, hike, fish, swim. Heads up the nearest store is a ways away so bring all your goodies.
5.0
Loved the riverfront and the hot tub.
5.0
We had a great time at this cabin in spite of the very rainy weather. The cabin had plenty of activities for any weather situation, with both yard games and board games. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals at home. The water access was great with the neighborhood trail next door another little treasure this property offers. The cabin was private and quiet and the hot tub was so enjoyable. The views of the river both inside and out were amazing. The fireplace indoors and fire pit outdoors were also great. The little touches around the cabin were wonderful. This was very close to the highway but also very quiet and secluded. The weather impacted our hiking planes but we still had plenty do to at the cabin. The dogs loved the yard and having water access. The beds were comfortable as well.
5.0
We brought another couple and a group of my son’s friends to celebrate NYE. We hiked locally during the day and enjoyed the cabin in the evening. It was the perfect space for our group. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a cozy cabin experience.
5.0
We once again had a perfect time at our "adopted cabin" as the kids refer to it now (hope that's OK)! We can't wait to be back. We celebrated our son's 10th birthday with beautiful weather and Autumn colors by the river by day and cozy evenings by night. We are very grateful that you are willing to share this wonderful and peaceful spot on this planet with us and with all the others who are lucky enough to stay as well.
5.0
The inside is cozy and charming for a rainy day, while outside is beautiful and peaceful for a sunny day. We plan to return.
5.0
Perfect weekend retreat, very spacious and comfortable, just a short drive from Seattle. The setting is lovely by the river - wished we stayed longer!
5.0
There was alot of rain during our stay so we spent alot of time at the cabin. This is a beautiful and cozy place, hang out by the river or light the fireplace and stay warm inside. We were very happy with this place.
5.0
We love this cabin and can't wait to return! The host is very helpful, the cabin is lovely and the location on the river is ideal for spending hours playing in the water and skipping rocks. Thank you for another great stay!
5.0
The property is as advertised and more! Truly relaxing, beautiful river. Quite private, with only a few people on the river all week. Communication with John was excellent, and the one minor issue we encountered was taken care of immediately. 100% would come back!!
5.0
Very comfortable place in a gorgeous setting.
5.0
This is a wonderful cabin in a wonderful location with the most extensively stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. The beds are comfortable, the furniture is comfortable, the layout of the cabin is logical. All appliances work as expected. The deck is spacious, with a gorgeous view of the river and mountains behind the cabin. This property is easily among our favorite rentals of all time, anywhere in the world. Thank you John for sharing your awesome property and for being a fantastic host!
5.0
This was our second time staying at this property and we loved it so much we've already booked our third! Everything was just as wonderful as last time and even though our stay coincided with a bit of a heatwave, we enjoyed cool breezy mornings at the river and felt very comfortable with the AC (reverse heat pump) unit inside during the warmest parts of the day. This is just an amazing place for some quality family time away from the hectic everyday. We can't wait to be back!
5.0
amazing property within close proximity to hikes, trails and water falls. plus, having our very own river in the backyard.
5.0
This property is everything and more. The cabin itself was so nice and everything was super clean and ready for us when we got there. The cabin was loaded with seasonings, speakers, smart, fire starters and just about everything we could have possibly needed. The view from the yard is hands down one of the most amazing views I think you’ll ever find in America. The gin clear river leading to the massive mountains behind are legitimately breath taking. Everything was so peaceful and amazing at our stay. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend anyone to come stay here. The location of the cabin is super close to many hike and activities. The only thing we would have changed was to stay longer. We did not want to leave.
5.0
The cabin was truly wonderful! We had the best the time at the fire pit right next to the river. We had everything we needed at the cabin. It was so cozy and the view is incredible. We are already planning to come back!
5.0
The minute you drive onto the property you feel relaxed! Beautiful, comfy home and surroundings.
Owner very responsive to questions and needs.
We had a lovely time exploring the area and taking some beautiful hikes! Only slight downfall is that the master bath has no shower. The bath tub is great, though!
5.0

At the end of the school year we take our exchange students from around the world on a family vacation. This year we decided a trip to the mountains suited all of us.This property and home took our breath away. Our exchange student from the Republic of Georgia was beside himself when he saw the house and property. It is big enough that all of us had room either together or separate. The owners were easy to talk to and gave us so much information about the surrounding area. The property is right next to the river and is in a community but you would never know it. Peaceful, relaxing and equipped. It was so wonderful that we didn't even turn on the TV as we played games, and did puzzles, sat by the campfire next to the river and introduced smores to our student. This vacation was so great that not a single one of us wanted to ,leave this beautiful home in this slice of heaven. Thank you again John & Lilah for everything. It really was the perfect ending of a perfect year with our student.

My wife and I spent five relaxing and enjoying a beautiful cabin with amazing nature all around us. We used the cabin as a base for traveling to the Bavarian themed town of Leavenworth, as well as a wide choice of nearby hikes and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
5.0
SkyRiver Lodge is a beautiful property! My hubby and I have stayed in many homes over the years and this ranks close to the very top in regards to layout, amenities, and cleanliness. Highly recommend!
5.0
Had a wonderful time at this property with my family of 5. Great location on the river. We loved it.
5.0
Posting was true to the actual cabin. Owner responded promptly to any questions. Everything was quite beautiful and perfect.
4.0
Great place, but be aware that there is only one shower and one tv.
Lots of kitchenware - but we were sad there wasn’t a pizza pan in the whole lot ;) LOL
Owners are AWESOME! We had every piece of information we needed ahead of time!! Appreciate that so much.
5.0
This property is amazing! Aside from the great location the hosts have thought of just about everything. Very well stocked (I didn't need to bring my entire kitchen with me to make good meals!) and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. Definitely will want to come back!
5.0
We loved the house and our stay.
5.0
This cabin is perfectly nestled by the river. The house itself is huge with plenty of entertainment space as well as an amazing hot tub to watch the river from. Highly recommended for a relaxing break from the world.
5.0
We had a phenomenal experience staying at sky river lodge!
4.0
The house was comfortable and well kept. The river was lovely, my kids had a great time rock hopping. It is unfortunate that we were there while there was still an active forest fire not too far away leading to a rather smoky stay.
5.0
Sadly, due to weather events in western Washington, we weren't able to make our stay at this lovely property. The host was extremely kind and compassionate about the situation (far beyond what one might expect given the cancellation policies) and we're looking forward to rebooking again and visiting the property in the future. It certainly looks beautiful from the listing!
5.0
Wonderful house, property, and location. Hope to come for longer stay someday.
2.5
The log cabin and its location are just beautiful and as advertised! The river is right there, and the riverbank includes a small sandy "beach" that sits right in the midday shade for perfect picnics. We had an amazing time - our two kids were heartbroken to have to leave and we all want to return! Unfortunately it was hot and the AC was unknowingly broken but John, the owner, was VERY responsive and worked hard to try to get it repaired while we were there. Hopefully this won't be a problem for anyone else! Of course there are mosquitos - it's summer right by a river after all. That meant we only wanted to open windows with screens, which made it harder to cool off the house while the AC was not working. I recommend installing some screens in at least a few of the upstairs windows as a backup - this would go a long way! We hope to return soon!
5.0
We Loved this Place!
5.0
We were blown away by the beauty of this property. Turning into the driveway felt like going to the secret garden with all the magic of the pacific northwest moss, and then going into the back yard opened up to the beautiful teal crystal clear water of the Skykomish River and a mountain across the river. It had every piece of charm of the PNW that I can think of. The location feels remote and private but is in a great location for activities like white water rafting with just a 15 min ride to the pick up site for that, horseback riding also about 15 min away, and Levenworth about an hour away. The cabin itself had all the charm of a rustic wood cabin with creature comforts like AC (although we hardly needed it) dish washer, fancy stove and many windows to open on the cool evenings. There were plenty of yard games to play, and wood to build a fire. We will absolutely be visiting again and might even make it an annual event as long as the property stays for rent.
