Newly Renovated Historic 1 Bed/1 Bath built before 1758. This home is listed on the National Registry of Historic Homes and is located in a premium location central within Newport's sought after Historic Hill and within blocks of St. Anne's Square, the infamous Trinity Church, Bowen's and Bannister's Wharf, Thames, Bellevue, Broadway, Tennis Hall of Fame, Museums, walking distance to the Cliff Walk and First Beach, Movie Theater as well as walking distance to an abundance of restaurants, shopping and nightlife that Newport is well known for.
This first floor accommodation was renovated to bring back to life the original and charming old wood beams but has bridged the past to present with modern amenities of a small sophisticated kitchen, marble bathroom and small laundry facility, beautiful living room with a pop-up couch for an additional 1 adult or 2 small children, and a cozy bedroom with 1 Queen bed and antique armoire. Other amenities include Wifi, Apple TV and central heat and air conditioning. Provided is a one time kitchen starter of coffee, tea, milk, cream, and butter, sugar, jam and English muffins. Two convenience stores and a bakery are located within 2-6 blocks for eggs and pastries. A grocery store and health food store is a 1/2 mile away scenic walk away more extensive kitchen supplies if desired. An exit cleaning is complimentary although housekeeping throughout your visit can be requested for an additional fee. Parking is not included but there is some free street parking within 2-6 blocks. For convenience, the public Mary Street lot is 1/2 block away and has nightly rate of $30 in-season. The Ferry services to Fort Adams, as well as Rose Island and Jamestown are an easy 5 block walk from the home. Enjoy roof deck sunset cocktails at the Vanderbilt Hotel 1/2 block away.
