It was located in a quiet neighborhood,.. Cute shot-gun looking house. The shower would be a problem if your obese or Tall, I didn’t have an issue as I’m shorter.
It’s perfectly located away from busy, but close enough to walk to busy district.
I definitely will be back.

This was our eighth time staying here, so that should tell you something. Check out my other reviews for more info. Just need to reiterate - your own dedicated parking spot!! Two new to us places just down the street include Saugataco (which has to-go six packs of beer) and Retro Boat Rentals, which has the CUTEST back patio on the K-Zoo River. Host is above and beyond accommodating and you can tell how much he loves his properties.

We have stayed at this cottage several times over the years and just stayed there again over the past weekend. It is perfect for a place to park your car and walk around the city. We will stay there again should our travels take us to Saugatuck.

This property is not like the pictures! The place is small but absolutely perfect for 2 people! It had everything that we needed for the few days that we stayed. We were in walking distance to downtown Saugatuck, which was great given that on the weekends there is no parking!! Douglas and Oval beach are less than 10 minutes away. Everything we needed was so close by to where we stayed. Communication with the property manager was fantastic, they answer so quickly. The cute little house was something that everybody loved as they walked by. If you are thinking of staying in Saugatuck, this is the place!

Overall a great place to stay! Very clean, host was friendly, and it’s in a really nice neighborhood within walking distance to local restaurants. It’s a little small but still has everything you need!

Birkie’s Board Room Cottage was AMAZING!!!! It’s kind of a tiny house but it had everything we needed for two people: a bed, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. The place was very clean. It was within walking distance of downtown Saugatuck. Communication with the owner was very easy. He got back to me in a very respectable time. We will definitely stay there again if we’re in lower MI. It was so adorable and lovely. I loved, loved, loved it.

Nice walking distance to the great little town.. 10 minutes to Douglas and oval beach…no interaction with property owner but that’s how I like it…I don’t need much and like my privacy..they are close if your different than me in that area..I think someone else mentioned shower.., gotta say I was leary, it’s small but I took showers when I didn’t need too..phenomenal pressure…all and all good place, excellent town and location

What this property has going for it: Location. It's right on top of downtown Saugatuck, so art, eating, and shopping was just a very short distance away. When you walk out the front door, if you look right, you will see a boat launch a block and a half away.
It's also in a quiet area, so it's possible to escape the tourist hub-bub for a quick afternoon nap.
Other positives: Easy to find, easy to leave. The cottage itself has great air circulation. I thought it was great value for the price.
It was perfect for what I was looking for.
The only drawback is the size of the interior. It's tight enough that it doesn't have a full kitchen. I travel solo and don't need a lot of room, so it wasn't a problem for me. If you need space, it might feel a bit confined.

Another amazing stay at Birkey’s. You really can’t beat the location, amenities, and price at this little gem. See my earlier reviews for details. We have stayed many times. Thank you, Eric, for being such an amazing host. See you next year!

VERY tight quarters, but manageable. It's nice to catch live news in mornings and evenings. HULU not the best a venue for that. Overall experience was fine.

This was our 2nd time staying at this cute cabin. It’s small but perfect for 2 people who only need it to keep their stuff, sleep and park for a days. Within easy walking distance to all the attractions in Saugatuck. Will stay again if in the area!

the cottage was in walking distance of shops and restaurants. the cottage was neat and clean however our only complaint was the sleeping futon was very small and uncomfortable.

We loved Saugatuck and would definitely stay at this property again. Only minor concerns were there were some dead bugs in the corners of the room (just outside bugs), bath mat needs washed or replaced, and futon wasn’t the most comfortable (but what futon is ?). Even having said that, we did enjoy the stay. The historical photos of the main house and cottage we stayed in were a nice touch. Interesting to see what used to be. Thanks!

It’s the perfect house for a couple. A great base for exploring the west coast, of Michigan. Saugatuck is a great town, tons of shopping within a couple blocks walking distance of the house. Oval beach is the one to go to. You can also head north to Holland and Grand Haven. The state park beach at Grand Haven is possibly the best beach on the whole west coast.

Great Place!
This is the 2nd time we stayed at Birky's Board Room and it's perfect for two people. Ideal location to everything in town. You can walk to just about everything. The parking spot is a great perk, as well as a nice yard if you want to enjoy some time outside with some lawn games. Everything inside was clean and well organized. We love Birky's and will stay again in the future.

Cutest little property in Saugatuck
This was our fifth year staying at Birky's. I can't say much more than I already have in my prior reviews except it is consistently fabulous. One thing that we really love about this "tiny house" is that if you are not into sharing a home (like a typical B&B), this is your spot. It's all yours, with a giant yard, in a quiet neighborhood, with plenty of amenities despite its small size. But don't let the size fool you - everything you need is here and it's well-designed so you can make it your home away from home. It's RIGHT downtown and within walking distance to everything. It's always clean and working with the owner is a breeze. The fun part of hanging outside is all the looks and comments from people walking by - "look at that cute house!" The perfect spot for a couple or a single, looking to be central, with a dedicated (shady) parking spot - easy to transport your stuff in and out of the house. We will be back for year six in 2023. Our favorite Saugatuck property!

Cozy and all inclusive
They did a great job at thoughtfully considering what you could need in a space and fit it in perfectly. The location was also more amazing than we thought. Perfect access to lake and shops. No need to drive it’s all right there within walking distance!

Michigan Adventure
This little cabin was perfect for my needs. I enjoyed the location, walking to downtown and the water, and listening to the rain, and the chirping of the birds in the mornings. I would stay again!

A little piece of heaven
The little cottage was perfect for my friend and I to getaway and have a girls weekend. The location was perfect and easy to get to. The communication was great with the owner/property manger. We were within a short driving distance from Holland for the Tulip Festival. We were within walking distance of some great restaurants and shops in Saugatuck’s historical district. Definitely be back to explore and even told my husband I know the prefect place to stay.
