Great property, able to walk into town which was nice! Enjoyed the beautiful view from outside the patio. Plenty of space inside for the 2 of us. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc as we did cook breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Came out to the Methow to cross country ski and get away for a few days. It was a perfect stay with our close friends and we're already planning on making it an annual trip!! Great stay!

The house was beautiful with lots of light and views of the mountains. The kitchen was well appointed so we were able to save some money eating in. The house was walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Winthrop. We also were near some great hikes that we enjoyed, including Maple Pass, Blue Lake, and Cutthroat Pass. The primary bedroom and the downstairs bedroom were fine. The only real drawback was the loft room was not very private and not well airconditioned.

We were coming to Winthrop to have a birthday party for my 90 year old mom. This place was excellent close to town and accepted dogs. After a day of celebration is was great to come back and relax with our kids and grandkids.

We loved the new very comfortable eco- friendly home with lots of space and beautiful views. The house is on a ridge above highway 20 just a few minutes outside of Winthrop. It’s quiet and scenic. The kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms are comfortable.
We had a very nice stay!

Artemisia was a great spot perfectly located for all our skiing during our stay. Tons of good hangout space at the house, too, and a very easy to use kitchen. Thank you!

Beautiful and environmentally interesting house. Only issue is 1 bedroom is a loft above the living room so less private.

We splurged with a more expensive choice than we would normally pick, and we're glad we did. It's a really well done zero energy design in a great location.

This is a great house (plenty of space, fun yard to explore, beautiful design) in a great location (Winthrop downtown, easy access to the Cascades, the Methow River). We had a great time and loved the house. The owner was responsive and helpful.

Amazing View and Walk to Town
This was a fantastic place to stay in Winthrop. The view from the house of the surrounding hills and mountains is fantastic. Especially loved the hammock in the back with visiting deer. The house is fully stocked, clean, and very comfortable. An added bonus we could bring our dogs to enjoy a full family weekend. We boarded our dogs for one night at nearby Aspen Kennels in Winthrop while we went to a wedding at Sun Mountain Lodge for a late night, the kennel worked out great.
We walked into town a short distance away a few times, and went to the Cider house and park at the bottom of the street a few times as well. I highly recommend this great place for families and friends. The host was very communicative and everything was as shown in the listing.

Perfect stay in Winthrop
Beautiful home in a gorgeous, convenient setting. Everything we needed was in the house. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was wonderful, and we enjoyed grilling and watching incredible sunsets from the patio (not to mention coffee with a book in the hammock in the mornings)! Communication with the owner was very easy. Can't recommend this home highly enough!!

Artemisia in Winthrop
This is an amazing property. The effort that went into making this a net zero energy home is remarkable. The home is very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The area around the house has been kept in its natural state and there are lots of windows for viewing all the visiting wildlife: deer, a quail family, and many different bird species. The owners recommended a waterfall hike to us which was great. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Nice place
We stayed at Artemsia for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. We would like to rent it again. It is very contemporary, clean, open and has wide areas of glass to enjoy the surrounding views including snowy North Cascades. The only two minor problems I would mention are when the wind blows strong from a certain direction you get a " whistling sound " in the living room - it is probably from an obstruction on the outside of the house. This sound didn't bother us but it might some folks. And the microwave is troublesome--- you can't just punch in a time and hit start -- at least we couldn't figure it out. Instead we ended up using the " healthy cooking " button and then pulled out the food when it had counted down to what we wanted. The center control knob really doesn't work right. The architecture is fun and I was excited to see Richlite countertops. I hate marble and quartz ( though they are very popular right now ) -- they are too hard a surface for me... Richlite is a great option and rare to find - exciting to see. Owner is very responsive.

Beautiful house but not ideal for sleep
House was very clean, lots of bedrooms and enough bathrooms. Nice appliances except for the dryer. It kept turning off but the owner was very nice and responsive about the issue. The view was gorgeous with all the windows. We even saw two deers. The easy walk to the park down the hill and the cider place made the house great for location . The dog policy is amazing because my mom is obsessed with bringing her dog on vacation. So thank you so much for making our vacation pretty smooth. Now the only true downfall even though yes all the windows are great they are not conducive for sleeping if you like it dark or you need your babies to go to sleep in a darker environment. I put my toddler the one bedroom that had all the windows shaded but my infant there were no other spaces that were dark enough so they wouldn’t be up at 4 am and would go down at 7 pm. I would love it if there were blackout or darkening shades on every window for bedtime. Other than that we had a blast in the town of Winthrop and my parents and toddler slept great.

Perfect place to unwind
Seamless booking and arrival, great communication from host and detailed house manual. We loved staying in a zero energy home. The home was comfortable and accurately described in the listing. Sitting out on the patio with views all around you’d never guess you are walking distance to the town center. Although we brought our own bikes, we appreciated that house bikes were available since several trail access points are accessible by bike as well.

The Perfect Winthrop Getaway
My husband and I visit Winthrop 2-3 times per year and this was, without a doubt, our favorite experience. The design of the home was stunning and so thoughtful. Eric was a delight to work with; he was responsive, approachable and informative. The home was spotless and well stocked. We’re already booked for next year!

Snow + Sunshine
What could be better. Wake up to South views of the valley as the sun rolls over things while you sip coffee! That’s what we did :). Perfect location, great place for friends and family, and it produces it’s own energy in this built green gem. What a great trip!

Perfect getaway
This property provided a lovely weekend getaway. The kitchen has all the essential tools for cooking, the beds are comfy and there are clean wood floors throughout. There are lovely big windows that let in great natural light. The house is up on a hill, so you are, and feel like, there is wide open spaces around you. It's an easy, very short drive down the hill to the main street through Winthrop. The property owner, Eric, is very responsive to any questions. I loved the energy efficiency aspect to the home. Because of the efficiency design, it's a great house for close family and friends.
