Hanalei Bay Resorts and Suites is located on the North Shore of Kauai, the most beautiful area of the most beautiful of the Hawaiian islands. Princeville is among the most storied of Hawaiian monarchical land grants, dating from the time of Kamehameha the Fourth. The 4 star resort has two swimming pools - an oversized one with waterfalls and a private children's pool (complete with mini-beach), and a whirlpool tub nestled into a rock wall with its own waterfall. Swim up pool bar. Immaculately manicured grounds with breathtaking views of nearby coastal mountains, waterfalls, and Hanalei Bay. Eight complementary tennis courts, 4 asphalt and 4 synthetic grass, Peter Burwash International Tennis Club with 2 teaching pros and pro shop. Makai golf course consisting of 18 holes and 9 holes of disc golf abuts property. Golf discounts for resort guests. Swimming and snorkeling beaches near the end of the grounds are serviced by complementary shuttle to and from the unit. Shuttle also services the neighboring One Hotel. The Condominium itself #1304, consists living room with new hybrid spring and foam Beautyrest King bed, sitting area with love seat, dining table, and 2 room bath. #1304 has views from the highest point at Hanalei Bay Resort of Mt. Namolokama and its spectacular waterfalls, Hanalei Bay, lava rock pool, tropical gardens with 8 tennis courts, 4 asphalt and 4 synthetic grass, with lessons and instruction by Peter Burwash International Tennis. Lobby, exercise, and hospitality suite in refurbished administration building. The condo includes oversized lanai with table, chairs, and lounge chair. Full bath with changing room, new W/D as of Dec. 1, 2023, fully equipped kitchenette, new king hybrid spring and foam bed as of Dec. 1, 2023, cathedral ceiling with fan, Mango wood 9 drawer dresser, 50 inch smart TV with streaming through Google TV and your personal apps, with sound bar for streaming music or radio through your mobile device, high speed wireless internet, remote control A/C, sitting area. Tommy Bahama beach chairs, grass beach mats, coolers, and beach umbrella are provided in the condo. All linens and paper products are provided. Resort fee $45/day includes Daily pool towel exchange at the front desk, outdoor gas grills, fire pits with seating area, Wi-Fi, valet parking, lobby with morning coffee service, exercise and hospitality suites, tennis, and hot tub, 2 swimming pools, local phone calls, shuttle service, Sundry shop, business center. Happy Talk lounge and restaurant is open from 3-9 pm with live music. Rate for Jan. 1, 2024-Jan. 1, 2026 is $239/night, 18% lodging fee, $45/day Resort Fee, $56.75 one time check in fee, $25 open fee, $155 cleaning fee. Daily Resort Fee includes valet parking, daily pool towel exchange, Wi-Fi, use of hospitality and exercise rooms, hot tub, both pools and 8 tennis courts. The unit is in a resort that is a short walk or golf cart ride to the beach! Parking was very close to the unit and Princeville was a wonderful place to stay with great snorkeling at the beach near Hanalei Bay. My partner and I noticed an unpleasant urine smell near the bed but Dave was quick to respond with solutions and short term fixes. The unit was well stocked with towels, soap, beach equipment, and laundry pods for the in unit washer/dryer. Dave said he would have the carpets shampooed so I don’t see this being an issue in the future but it did impact our stay. Overall I would happily stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay. The resort property is beautiful and we loved the beach access. The golf carts made it very convenient to go to the beach. The views from the condo were stunning. Overall a wonderful experience!

It was absolutely amazing! We could not have been happier with the setting, service and comfortability. It was nice being so close to many shops and restaurants and of course beaches.

Extremely nice condo on the 3rd floor with an amazing view of the mountains and bay. Very clean and comfortable. Short walk to the beach with a shuttle available to bring you back. Plenty of beach toys in the unit. Great area to walk around. Resort grounds are very well maintained and staff is very friendly.

Beautiful property. Room is top floor with great views. Communication with Dave was great. Would stay again. Added bonus was the beach gear that came with the room - we took advantage of the chairs and cooler for beach days.

Dave’s place was perfect for our first visit to Kauai! My daughter and I enjoyed the lanai and breathtaking views as we had breakfast each AM. The resort is beautiful and we always felt safe. The shuttle service to and from the beach is quick and very helpful. All staff at the resort are super helpful and friendly. I would definitely book Dave’s place on another visit to Princeville.

We had a great stay at Hanalei Bay Resort. Its a beautiful and well kept resort in a beautiful location. The unit itself was very clean, comfortable and exactly as decribed, perfectly located a short walk from the pool, Happy Talk and the lobby and also has a perfect view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the a/c works well. Dave was great to work with and always quick to respond with any questions we had. We will definitely come back

Our stay was fantastic and really enjoyed our condo. The view of Hanalei Bay was beautiful everyday to wake up to. The grounds were gorgeous and we were close to everything we wanted to do. We are planning our next trip for next year already. Dave was definitely easy to communicate with and he answered all of my questions in a timely matter, considering it was my first time using VRBO. My wife and I were in Hawaii for two weeks and stayed in 3 other locations on different islands. This Princeville rental was a perfect way to end our visit. The view from this unit is stunning and David was extremely accommodating with our questions and requests. The property is absolutely gorgeous - this unit has a view of pool/ocean/mountains. Decor is somewhat dated but nice and had everything we needed for a perfect visit. Bed is extremely comfortable.

Second stay at this unit, amazing third floor view. Close proximity to pool and ice machine. Bit of a walk to the barbecues until we figured out the shortcut through the pool area. Kitchen is basic and utensils and pans are a bit thin but enough for the task. In all you'd be hard pressed to find a better unit and view for the price so we would book again in a heartbeat and will every second year.

Beautiful location/property with an amazing view of the mountains and bay from the lanai. Waking up to that view from the bed was a treat. Property manager was prompt with responses. Checkin process was easy. Unit was clean and bed was comfortable. Only down side was the washer/dryer in unit was not operable during our stay. There are other coin operated machines available for use in the adjacent building but it would’ve been nice to have one in the unit, especially after a day of hiking, beach, pool, etc. Overall, we had a great stay!

The view out of the window was spectacular. The property was nice, quiet. We had no trouble finding chairs by the pool or shade at the beach. The restaurant on site was great for dinner and drinks with live entertainment.

Beautiful, clean, quiet property, with pristine views in all directions. Miles of walking paths either down to beach or toward town. Incredible views from the lanai. Staff on site are all very friendly, and helpful. You feel like family! This was truly special and memorable getaway for us celebrating 20 years. We are leaving today to see the south side of the island and my husband does not want to leave! He loves it here so much!

Just celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary in Princeville, Kauai at Hanalei Bay Resort. Truly paradise! The resort was so peaceful with areas to watch the sunset, very nice pool and hot tub, and excellent beach area adjacent to Hotel One. We were able to use their poolside bar and grill while on the beach, which was very convenient. The condo had everything we needed, and was very clean and simple. The bed truly is super nice and comfortable, with a perfect view! Pillows and sheets were nice as well. Owner was very accommodating to our request for a slightly late check out. We already hope to return to the North Shore for more hiking of the Napali Coast and will definitely plan to stay here again!!

The location is great. Excellent view and great staff at the resort. Really worthed. As a general note on the resort or Hawaii, there seems to be not much recycling going on. We are used to do composting and recycling to reduced our impact on the environment. Recycling should be the norm these days. And please during your vacation buy local to Hawaii if you can.

Highly recommend staying at Dave’s place in Hanalei Bay. View from the lanai is as good as you’ll ever get, absolute beauty. Location of hotel in best part of Kauai, close to the best beaches and town of Hanalei. Hotel staff very nice, easy check in and self parking a plus as lot was close to unit. Communication great with host and would rent again in a second.

1. The views- absolutely the most beautiful- both sunsets and sunrises too- and yes we were perched up high so we had first class views of Hanalei Bay. And the snorkeling was so first class-lots of beautifully coloured fish & tons of turtles. The suite had everything you need- lawn chairs, boogie boards, 3 sizes of coolers, big screen TV, the kitchen was fully equipped and the lanai that overlooks Hanalei Bay- oversized! This 20 acre piece of paradise was perfect in every way- the front desk made check-in easy and our host Dave always answered our questions promptly. All in all- a 10 out of 10- we will gladly book for next year as well. Can’t wait. Dave- we thank you for such a beautiful holiday- Les and Lori- Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Great little place, we really enjoyed the kitchen area, and washer/dryer came in handy. Views were beautiful and it was also helpful not to have to walk all the way to the back of the property to get into the unit.

It was so nice to get up in the morning and look out at the beautifully landscaped resort, Hanalei Bay, and the mountains - we spent a lot of time on our lanai enjoying that! In general the unit was well supplied, but could use a couple of additions in the kitchen (no frying pans, no flat spatulas for flipping, etc). But we would definitely rent this unit again!

We enjoyed the amazing and pristine grounds of Hanalei Bay Resort. Our room was fully equipped with everything thing we need. It is centrally located . Our host was very helpful and responsive to us. All details were very clear and the experience exceeded our expectations!! Highly recommend!

The property was beautiful and had a lovely view. In the future if we visit the island, we plan to stay on the south rather than this, the north side. Being vegan I had a very hard time finding anything nutritious to eat, even at the grocery stores, and every restaurant (non vegan) constantly had long waits.

Great place to stay, not far from the grocery store. The beach was great too - saw so many sea turtles! The space was comfortable and had an excellent view!
