This house easily accommodated young and old. We had a great week of relaxation and loved the packet put together with the recommendations. Everyone enjoyed feeding the animals and fish, and it was especially memorable for the kids. The location was a perfect distance from Asheville that allowed for us to have a quiet place to relax and make memories as a family.

The property manager was amazing. The place was clean and as advertised. It could use a little update but nothing that would cause me to give anything lower than a 5 star review. I would certainly return!

My family converged on Fairview from RI, SC, and FL for a summer vacation. Communication with the owner before, during, and after our stay was exceptional. He was responsive to our requests and inquiries.
The property was quite peaceful and spacious for our party of eight. I enjoyed my coffee on the porch in the cool mountain air. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace made for lovely evenings as well. My sons woke each morning anxious to visit the koi ponds and the farm animals, too! The donkeys and goats came running over for carrots, while the chickens offered fresh eggs for breakfast.
When considering outdoor activities, whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River is just over an hour away in TN, and Asheville is a short 15-minute drive. We also found a fantastic playground in Montreat with a creek running through it. Not to be missed is an Amish store just up the road with alpacas, Amish goods, and made-to-order sandwiches! We visited each day of our stay.
If you need to relax and unwind after a full day of hiking and tubing, you can arrange for an on-site massage. First thing in the morning with the waterfall in the background was idyllic.
I cannot say enough about my experience in Fairview. It was quite lovely and I’d be delighted with a return visit.

Frank was a wonderful host. Accommodations were just as described and offered enough space for our 7 adults and 2 year old granddaughter. Hot tub and outdoor fireplace made for a very relaxing evening. Grounds were beautiful (flowers, mini waterfalls, koi pond) and well kept. My granddaughter loved feeding carrots to the animals. We loved relaxing in the hammocks. Close to Asheville and other attractions. Would definitely stay there again!

This property is amazing and the owners are wonderful, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful. Our family was in the area to visit a camp that one of our children will be attending later this summer. Our children fell in love with this property because of all the farm animals on the property. My wife and I loved it because the kids had the downstairs all to themselves, allowing us to get a few extra winks in the morning.
What we loved:
1) Meeting Frank (the owner). Frank met us at the property upon our arrival. He spent the time to orient us to the property, share info about the restaurants, sights, and attractions in the area and share all about the horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and koi to our children. They were in heaven. He left giving our kids a jar of fish food to feed the koi.
2) The house. The property is a very private and secluded house, on a working farm, and we loved opening the fridge and seeing 18 farm fresh eggs, along with fresh ground coffee (which was welcomed since I had forgotten my bag of coffee at home). The house is really well designed and the kids loved having the downstairs all to themselves where they slept, and enjoyed all the games in the playroom. We all enjoyed the outdoor hearth for smore's after our long days.
3) The area. From the property your literally 20 minutes to everything. This includes outdoor recreation areas, restaurants, and Asheville.
We can't wait to get back!

Our stay here was nothing short of amazing. The property is absolutely stunning and so well thought out. The outdoor spaces are beautiful and provide so many options to relax and enjoy the nature around you. Having fresh eggs from the chickens in our fridge was a sweet surprise, especially since we took advantage of having a full kitchen and had most of our meals at the house. The spacious deck provided the perfect place to dine outside.
The house itself was beautiful and so unique. We loved all the special touches and our host made sure to walk us through when we arrived so we knew where everything was. The fireplace provided the perfect background for game nights in the spacious living room. And everyone had space to spread out with all the sleeping options.
I truly could not recommend this property more. We all wished we had booked a longer stay and agreed we will 100% be coming back!

From making the reservations to closing the door to leave our host Frank Dixon was accessible, informative, hospitable, generous. Just the consulate host. Best VRBO experience ever. The house was a perfectly cozy spot for friends and family to rest, relax, reconnect with each other. We will definitely come back to "Our House"

Seven women celebrated our milestone birthday year together over 4 nights at Our House. It was simply the perfect spot for our wonderful, relaxing getaway. The house is spacious and comfortable, with ample space for everyone to sleep and to gather. We used the living room fireplace nightly, prepared meals in the well-stocked kitchen, visited the animals on the farm each day, and enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful common areas on the property. All linens, towels, and cozy robes were provided, which made packing very easy.
Frank was an excellent host. He met the earliest arrivals from the group at the house and gave a tour. He arranged for in-home massages and a trail ride for some of us, including helping adjust the schedules as needed. Frank responded quickly to all of our questions before the trip and while we were there.
The location is great - beautiful setting, with plenty of nearby restaurants and grocery options. It was a 20-minute drive into Asheville, to the Biltmore, and to the hike we chose. We are already trying to figure out when we can get back to Our House. Thank you, Frank!

We had such great family time at this property and in Asheville. This house has an outdoor hot tub with a covered fireplace with chairs next to the hot tub. We spent every evening hanging out here as a family...our outdoor family room. The house is awesome, lots of space, great deck to sit on, fun game room and our daughters loved feeding the farm animals carrots every day. A few different cool places to sit around the property as well if you like to have a quiet space to read or have alone time. The owners were soo nice and gave us a tour as well as a dozen fresh eggs from the chickens. We highly recommend staying here!!

We met with some ladies I went to high school with as a mini reunion. We had massages booked thru the host as well and enjoyed it near the waterfall. The hot tub was nice as well. We ate in for breakfast with the provided eggs. The coy and horses are fun to looks at. The sitting areas inside were comfy for conversation. Great rockers on the porch and comfy seating beside the outdoor fireplace which we used on a cooler night.

The house was a rustic beauty, with gorgeous surrounding landscapes and wonderful farm animals to feed.

We had an amazing time at this property - very idyllic and Frank was a great host. My kids especially loved feeding the animals. Fairview is a nice area with lots of hidden treasures - would 100% revisit and stay here again.

Great location with easy access to Asheville, Lake Lure, and Black Mountain. Property has many fun extras including waterfall/koi pond, horses, goats and chickens. Home itself has many antiques if that is your thing and could use a paint touch up. We couldn’t figure out temperature downstairs (very cold). Frank was communicative and helpful.

Our family enjoyed our stay this very spacious home. It was very clean and adequate for our large family. Frank was always available for questions and was great to work with!!
We loved the farm animals and the koi pond!

We had two families of four stay for four nights over Memorial Day weekend. Lots of space for everyone to hang out and comfy beds. We really loved the hot tub and fire area and spent a few nights hanging outside. Robes and plenty of extra towels were provided. Two dozen farm fresh eggs were waiting in the fridge, along with all the fixings for coffee. Frank was very hospitable and helped change out our firewood when rain made ours damp. We really enjoyed out stay.

The owner met us at the property and briefly told us about it and about the area. The Our House was spacious, clean and everyone was easy to find. The house is in a hallow along with other vacation rentals. The grounds were incredible as was the mountain view. We would stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Could not ask for another thing. Comfy beds, nice linens, fluffy robes, awesome walk in showers, everything you might need in the kitchen. Seating for family meals. Comfy furniture by the fireplace. Quiet sleeping. Great for a family getaway. Animals, swings, hammocks, and beautiful views. Make smores in the outdoor fireplace then relax in the clean hot tub. Close to everything yet so quiet and rural. Frank is a kind, helpful host with loads of great recommendations!

Our experience was wonderful! Our owner made sure we had plenty of firewood for those super cold nights and the house was decorated beautifully for us for Christmas! Great restaurants and breweries nearby. A great house with something for everyone. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful, relaxing, unforgettable stay. The property is beautiful. There are many special features such as the koi pond, waterfall by the outdoor fire pit, hot tub, and the farm for our 3 year old son was perfect! He loved feeding the donkeys, goats, and horses! Thank you for having us!

Great house away from the noise of the city. Plenty of space inside and out for time to relax, or hang out in our group. Girls weekend house, plenty of sleeping spaces and comfy couches. We had a blast.

The six of us just spend a wonderful week at the house. We have stayed at several VRBO homes and this was among the very best. The house had everything including a hobby farm for the kids to feed the animals — koi ponds and a beautiful Lotus pond with blooming flowers. We would stay here again in a blink. Mike and Sandra

Quiet Country Farmhouse
We enjoyed our stay at “our house”! The kids loved feeding and petting all the animals. The house itself is quirky and fun! It’s the perfect mix of old and new. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need. We opted to cook most nights and didn’t need for any gadget or utensil. The hot tub was great though we only used it once since it was a heat wave! Hosts were extremely helpful and kind that we encountered on property and via phone. Would recommend this place to anyone. There are several houses on the property but all very private. Perfect for a family reunion spot.

Owner Frank was great to work with and was more than accommodating with our requests. Loved the fresh eggs and farm animals on the property. We used the hot tub and outdoor fireplace and they were great! Will definitely return with other family and friends!
