The home is great and plenty big to accommodate our stay. The issues I had were in relation to checking in where we were not able to get into the home until after 5pm. I called the management number after attempting multiple times to get into the home but the code wouldn't work. After the first call I got no answer but did receive a text at 4:46 saying they weren't available to answer my call but I could text. So I sent a text saying I couldn't get into the home with the code and received no text or call back until 5:02 after calling multiple times and also called the after hours number. They finally gave me a code to enter the home which was the emergency code. I asked since I lost an hour of my stay if I could have an hour back by checking out at 11 instead of 10 which the lady said she would check on it and call back. I received no call back, furthermore received a text as a reminder the day before saying check out is at 10. Communication was clearly an issue. The porch lights did not work on the main deck, and the hot tub did not function correctly. Upon turning on the jets the hot tub would cause the breaker to switch and shut off. The main attraction for this stay was the hot tub experience and we couldn't use it as intended which was highly disappointing.

Beautiful property and views.

Great house
Love the neighborhood. A little farther away from everything then I would have liked but not terrible. Don’t get the elbow room and freedom being in town so there are benefits to both.

Great house with a beautiful view! We saw lots of wildlife....a bear ran across the backyard and several deer, turkeys and bunnies! One suggestion for owners is to put a few rocking chairs on the deck....we had an infant and it would have been nice to rock and enjoy the beautiful view. We took extra towels/cloths since only one towel/cloth per person was provided. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of games, books and puzzles on the lower level. The internet was spotty so be prepared. We had a great vacation with family in this very homey rental!

Beautiful mountain cabin
This cabin was even better in person! It was absolutely amazing! And the views were breathtaking.

With just alittle more attention to detail stay would have been perfect. Remote didn't work gas fireplace or ceiling fan, propane grill was in very poor condition and was replaced during our stay. The other items were not addressed while we were there.

Grandfather Vistas
The house itself was fantastic! There was plenty of space for everyone and the house came well equipped. Not to mention the view from the deck was amazing. The one thing that could be improved upon is the ability to get in touch with the management staff. I had some questions regarding the house since I was traveling with an infant. I tried emailing and leaving a voicemail with no response. Otherwise great stay and I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to friends/family.

In all honesty this would easily be a 5 star review if it were clean. The place was in a remote location but still only 15-20 minutes to Main Street Blowing Rock. The community is not very developed so plenty of wildlife around but it is well kept up so we were able to easily explore the stream and community space. During our stay we spotted multiple deer, rabbits, and turkeys. We had 6 adults, 3 children and 2 toddlers with us. We had plenty of space/seating and things to do.
This would easily be a 5 star review if the cabin was properly cleaned. The place is beautiful but the floors were very dirty with obvious dust/dirt everywhere. Our kids quickly had black feet so we used the vacuum and swifter ourselves to get everything clean. The pillows that are available were really dirty so I recommend bringing your own. The sheets that were available for the pullout bed ended up being dirty with red stains on them so thankfully there was another clean set to use. The available towels smelled really musky so we washed everything.
Once we cleaned the cabin, the place was excellent. The views are unbeatable and the owners were very thoughtful with games/info on things to do. The appliances were great/new and we liked having both a coffee maker and a Keurig available. Some of the outlets in the kitchen and bedroom don't work so we had to figure out phone chargers but it worked out. The hot tub is an excellent feature that we all enjoyed. The ping pong table in the garage was also really great for everyone to play with.
Suggestions to the owner: I would highly recommend changing cleaning crews because they are neglecting the beautiful property. A paved driveway would be great in the future. We were only able to go up and down one side of the drive because the other side was too steep for the non-AWD vehicles to go down the gravel without slipping. It looks like it has taken abuse the past couple of years. Some type of rail down the side stairs of the property would be great because some of the stairs were tricky. Also, the house had check-out instructions printed from both the property owner and the management company which conflicted each other on what to do with the trash and linens.
We will definitely be returning!!

We loved the house and views!
The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet. We had a total of 7 people and 2 babies stay which worked great for the most part. The only issue which I didn't realize until we got there was the living room really only had room for 3 maybe 4 people to sit so after the babies went to bed people had to disperse if they wanted a place to sit. The back deck had plenty of room for everyone but we were there during some chilly weather, otherwise it would have been totally fine. Overall we loved the house and the nearby town of Blowing Rock. Definitely recommend this house.

Beutiful Cabin
Property was beautiful and as described. A bit early checkout (10am is too early). Other than that the place was excellent.

Thank you for a wonderful vacation spot. We're already making plans for a return. We'd love to see the surroundings in each of the seasons.

Better than advertised
We absolutey loved this house. It was even nicer than the puctures and descriptions suggest, and it was perfect for the two families of four we had on the trip Appalachian Ski Mountain is closeby, and Boone is just a short drive. Private, clean, spacious and just generally a great option for anyone looking for a perfect relaxing trip

Beautiful, clean and perfectly decorated!
This property was perfect for what our family needed. We were only looking for a place to stay while we went to a local event and once we were there we hated we didn't have more time to actually enjoy it. We travel a lot and thought this property was perfectly decorated without too much. The ping pong table was a huge hit and although the hot tub was very nice, we unfortunately didn't have a chance to use it. Our only complaint really was having to drive to the office which was several miles past the house to get the keys. It was late and we were very tired but overall everything was great!
