Gorgeous view! Very clean house with mostly updated bathrooms -- except mother in law suite. Nice linens. Personal, interesting decor. Only one toilet on the main floor, but otherwise good. Parking was good, access was easy. A very nice place at a good price.

The house had ample space for all adults and kids, and the views were wonderful. There were a number of dead lady bugs in 2-3 of the bedrooms which made us question how recently the house had been cleaned. The ice cubes in the freezer also had a yellow tint to them. We had a few folks that had intestinal issues after the first day so we bought bottled water and that seemed to help. If the water is not great for consumption, I would recommend putting that in the check in details.

Perfect!
Beautiful home with a beautiful view! The kitchen is extremely well stocked and we were easily able to host our friends that joined us. The home is decorated with beautiful art and unique pieces in every room. This home was perfect for several couples getting away together. We hope to book this home again!

Booking issue
There was a double booking issue that was not our mistake but the rental companies..... I think they finally realized it was their mistake but we were a little put out by initial communications.

The view was fabulous and the house was comfortable. We had a wonderful time.
What would be helpful to have in the house upon arrival was information on the tv provider/tv operating instructions and information on local restaurants/stores/groceries and nearby hiking trails etc.
The oven and toaster oven did not seem to work properly-both very slow to cook.
The house was not particularly clean-disappointing considering the hefty cleaning fee. Bathroom floors were dirty- had dust/hair on them that we wiped up. Rugs/floors did not seem to have been vacuumed as there was a good bit of dirt/grit. Some bowls in the kitchen cabinet had food on them. Someone's bathroom items were in master bathroom cabinet, and needles and medicine were in the refrigerator. I would expect this to be removed before guests arrived.

The house was nice and even had a quiet place for my daughter in law to study. Spacious and clean. It would have been nice to have a few more large frying pans (12 inch). There were also lights with light bulbs out (6 of the 8 over the dining table). Replaced them from local store so all was well. It would also have been nice to have some instructions on electronic (TV, cable, etc). Also not clear when trash would be picked up and if there was recycling. Saying all that, we would definitely stay there again. For 6 adults,1 baby and a 4 year old It was great.

Several things to pass on. Great house with perfectly stocked kitchen. Good views and great deck but need to trim trees for better view. Front door handle kept falling off. House was musty like hadn't been opened in awhile. Was fine when we opened up. The towels had some stains. I preordered firewood and never received. Frustrating since agents gave different stories about why no firewood. Key to mother-in-law suite was not in the bowl designated. Had to call for help. Needed light bulbs.

This is a beautiful, well-loved property with exquisite furnishings and breathtaking views. It was the perfect respite for a family gathering in the midst of the pandemic. Lovely, recently renovated bathrooms and beautiful, well-equipped kitchen. I have already recommended it to a friend and she has booked it this fall. One of my favorite VRBO stays!

This is a lovely home with amazing views of the NC Mountains. We loved spending time on the beautiful deck and just taking in the views. The home was nicely stocked and had everything we would need for a fantastic weekend away.
Our only issue at this home had to do with communication with the host. On the first night we were there we noticed a small squirrel on the rafters who emerged from a small hole on the ceiling (presumably from the attic). While he didn't really bother us, I could totally see how this could make future guests uncomfortable having a small animal moving around overhead. I tried calling the property management company multiple times to let them know about this, but I never managed to have someone answer the phone or respond to my messages. Again, for this instance this was not much of an issue- but if we had an emergency and needed to urgently get in contact with someone, I'm not sure what we would have done...
Overall, the pros of the home made it an extremely enjoyable stay and I definitely recommend this home to future travelers. Clearer communication channels with the host would make it perfect.

Great experience!
We had a wonderful stay in this obviously well-loved family retreat, complete with family photos on the fridge. The porch has a beautiful view of the mountains, and the house itself is quite clean. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, even including a grater as well as more standard pots and pans. We did a lot of cooking, and were never short of anything except spatulas.
I have two minor quibbles. We noticed that there was soot on the front of the fireplace. When we lit a small fire on a rainy and chilly evening, we realized why: even with the damper open, the chimney does not draw well! We had to open the doors because smoke would occasionally eddy into the room. It wasn't horrible, but enough to make us decide we were done with fires.
We didn't really care about the decor. That said, the house is much darker than it appears in the pictures. If you try to turn all on the main floor lights, a breaker flips. Also, if you have small children, be aware there are a LOT of decorative elements everywhere, and you might want to relocate some of them. This is not a home for minimalists! But the bathrooms are recently updated and beautiful, and the master bedroom is lovely.
All in all, we loved this house and would absolutely return. It had everything that we needed and more, gorgeous views, and was sparkling clean. A great experience overall!

Great stay
Awesome house! Very accommodating to a large group. Could be a little more clear in description about mother in law suit & it being disconnected from house and include that it can only be accessed by going outside and downstairs! But we had a great stay
