About this apartment rental

The Studio is a truly unique and beautiful property, both inside and out. Located in the heart of the village within walking distance to all the harbor front attractions, The Studio is tucked away, shady and private. The multi level patio is nestled among live oaks and cedar trees. After a total renovation in 2022, the interior space features an updated look that is more spacious, more functional and more inviting than ever! The Studio is an adult only, pet free, smoke free space. Smoking is allowed outside.

This building was constructed in 1993 and used for 15 years as a working art studio. It is set back off the road, amidst giant live oak and cedar trees, and sits alongside my home, one of the islands designated historic houses. The two buildings are joined by an open breezeway behind the main gate, but when guests are in residence in the studio, we both have separate entrances on opposite sides of the property. The Studio provides all the comforts of home in a private, quiet and tree shaded setting, with lots of attention to detail. I have tried to make the Studio somewhere I would want to stay, well cared for with lots of personality.

You enter through a totally enclosed multi leveled courtyard space complete with artwork, jasmine, hot/cold out door shower and grill. There are chairs for lounging and a dining table for mealtime. Your parking is right outside the gate. Inside, the studio is colorful, unique and furnished for your complete comfort with one queen bed downstairs, a double bed in the upstairs loft space, sofa, flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen and bath with tub and shower. There is a desk and office chair perfect for working while away! The Studio provides full linen service.

This is the perfect romantic and private getaway for two. The Studio is located within walking distance of the Coffee Company, Zillie's, the harbor front and all downtown shops and restaurants. We ask that you do not store or charge electric bikes on the property.

All Studio guests are strongly urged to buy cancellation insurance through VRBO. We are an island 30 miles off the coast. Things happen, to people and to the island. The ferry service to the island can be affected at any time in unpredictable ways restricting access to the island. And, we have hurricanes from June through October. Please protect yourselves.

A lovely hideaway... fabulous, beautiful decor, nice attention to detail, the courtyard and the outdoor shower are great! Plus cleanliness and privacy too. We felt so relaxed and comfortable here, like in a tree house, a home away from home! We loved the entire atmosphere of "The Studio".

Beautiful, relaxing and stylish studio. The deck is shaded and a perfect spot for reading or cocktails. Centrally located. We had a wonderful time disconnecting and spending quality time together. We'd stay again!

Our stay at the Art Studio was delightful. It was very clean, very organized, tastefully decorated, quiet and walkable to most locations that we were interested in visiting. When we had a question, the host responded within minutes. Everything that one might have needed or wanted was provided. We hope to return next year! Thank you.

It was absolutely perfect, we intend to stay again, for as long as we can afford! Our trip was beautiful 4 nights long, wish we could stay forever... Alas.. Would recommend to anyone looking for a sweet spot with a beautiful kitchen. And we loved the outdoor shower!

No complaints about this little charm! Very private. Within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The courtyard is beautiful - felt like our own little piece of heaven. We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Thank you again for our stay!

A great place to start our Ocracoke adventure. Even a cold, rainy day at the beach couldn't cramp our style staying at this enchanting tiny home. Cozy, open, a delight for the eyes. The perfect place to relax and recharge for another day of bicycling, kiting, swimming, and exploring this lovely little town. Just us two.

Debbie’s studio is even bigger than the photos display. Bed was beyond comfortable and the design/decor is beautiful! The patio is an oasis especially with the outdoor shower….which was heavenly! We can’t wait to return!

When I first booked The Studio, I could see that it was quite lovely. I could feel the tranquility and good vibe from the pictures. The Studio is spacious, private, beautifully decorated, and well equipped. From the Studio's ideal location, we rode bikes into the Village and around the Island. Debbie was a gracious host who is very involved in the unique Ocracoke community. It was a pleasure to stay there and we hope to be back soon.

This property was super cute, tidy, clean, and functional! The location is super close to lots of little shops and restaurants and the privacy and parking was perfect! Many shops/restaurants are closed in the off season, but it was perfect for the quiet getaway we were looking for!

The Studio is everything the listing promised to be--and possibly more--because it met my needs so perfectly. I'd come to gather with my large family of aging siblings, children and grandchildren, for Thanksgiving, and this beautifully appointed abode offered just the retreat I needed, to balance the lovely chaos of our gatherings. The apartment itself is so inviting, but the surrounding environment made it even more pleasant--a private sort of courtyard featuring abundant plant-life and the host's artwork-- a place for peaceful repose. Debbie's house is adjacent (literally connected to the studio via decks and causeways), but I never sensed her presence, unless I needed something. She was immediately available and responsive, loaning me a few essential tools I'd forgotten to bring for pie-making! I really can't say enough about this place--it was perfect for my solo stay, but could accommodate a couple or even two. Thank you, Debbie--I will be back!

This is the perfect place for a romantic get away on Ocracoke Island for 2 people. The location is great, and Debbie does a nice job supplying everything needed for comfortable stay. The outdoor patio/garden area with all the art work, landscaping, and outdoor shower really add to the stay. If you are looking for a cozy place to stay on Ocracoke, this location is hard to beat!

What a gem of a location!! It is everything you need to get away from it all. We had never been to Ocracoke. The island was welcoming. Great restaurants. The Studio was well appointed, clean and comfortable!! Small touches - charging port for lots of devises and pillow options for firm to squishy!! Loved every second we were there!
