Quit and relaxing area close to a large grocery store and service station along with tourist activities.

Fun experience to stay on the lake. The master bedroom is very isolated from the downstairs. I did not feel comfortable leaving young kids downstairs but other than that it was a fun lake experience

Everything was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. Great location and fun.

Appreciated the furnishings, made for a fun get away.

This home was great. Yes, it's a bit outdated, but the location makes up for it. This property is a must-see if you're a boater or a lake lover. The price was great as well, considering neighboring properties, some even on the same doc, are listed at 3X the price as this property. Thanks for having us. We will be back!

It’s like staying at your favorite uncles boat house. Comfortable beds, two bathrooms and a lovely upstairs deck over looking the bay. Mitch has everything you need if you want to cook in.

We were looking for an affordable place to stay while vacationing to Silverwood and this place hit the mark! Fit our family of 5 perfectly. Lots of room and loved seeing the sail boats. Beds were comfy and the place was clean. Will definitely be back

Float home was spacious for our family to spread out. Everything's was as listed. Suggestions: update the standard check-in email with relevant information. The "10-digit code" doesn't exist. The wifi information is inaccurate. The downstairs TV wasn't functional and would randomly turn off after about 30 seconds. Turn the lights off in the locked rooms. The light emanating from them gives off creepy vibes like someone is in there.

The home was very clean. We stayed in July for a trip to Silverwood. It was close to the amusement park and they have a nice covered patio to play games in the evening. The second night we were there the house key broke off in the lock, not a great thing to have happen after a long, hot day at the park. We were able to call and they gave us the code for the second key box. The hous

Pictures don't do this place justice. Super clean interior, retro decor, over the top amenities provided in the float house. Marina parking was 5 bucks but that's cheaper than most legit hotels and the staff is chipperAF and very polite. Very quiet place, massive private deck on rear of property as well with plenty of seating. Cool bar within walking distance so an easy stumble home if you've had too many. Would recommend to anyone who wants something different and to get away from the traditional hotel scene. Definitely will come back again.

1st Loved being able to fish right outside the house; 2nd every morning spent a couple of hours reading and drinking tea or hot cocoa on the second floor balcony; 3rd the house was clean and had everything we needed; 4th in mid-September the area was very quiet; 5th when we didn't feel like cooking, restaurants were within walking distance; 6th a large grocery store was only 20 minutes away.

Comfortable and homey
It might have been the time of year, May, as it was quiet and peaceful. Lots of room in the home and a loft/ deck that you can see out across the lake. The upstairs bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and the home was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

So close, yet so far
The home was nice, and it had beautiful views. It was just hard being right on the water and not being able to fish or swim anywhere near it...

Fun stay
Great place to stay. Love the upper deck area.... so peaceful especially in mornings with coffee. Our family launched our paddle boards off dock and had a blast exploring. Just wish in future we could bring our lab:)... and house needs a dish scrubber and hair dryer... other than that was wonderful.

Unique stay in beautiful setting
The float house was just as pictured. It was in a beautiful setting that was very tranquil. The only real issue we had was there was no working air conditioning, and it was very hot during our stay.

The home interior is in desperate need of updating, it's very 1970's looking but that's just cosmetic and you can see what you're getting from the pictures before booking.
Now onto what you can't see until you book and stay there...
1. Blood stains on the bed sheets in both bedrooms.
2. Coffee table and end table in living both broken and wobble terribly.
3. The "office chair" in the living room has only 2 of 4 wheels. Maybe just throw it out?
4. Not being able to have more than 3 electrical devices powered on at a time without blowing a fuse. The last two nights there the portable upstairs bedroom AC and bathroom light blew and we weren't able to turn either back on by flipping the breaker so I slept upstairs in a very hot and stuffy attic with no bathroom lights.
This place has no business being sold as a vacation rental. It's a disaster!

Great vacation home on the water!
Super quiet neighborhood. The kids loved that we were staying in a float house instead of a regular hotel!

The People Are Trash
The people who work at the property were unforgivably rude to us, they lied to us or the listing was inaccurate and we didn't have 2 parking spots which was huge pain and then they laughed at us LOUDLY through broken windows in their dilapidated marina for wearing masks. Then we witnessed soemone in the marina destroy a goose nest filled with eggs.. I hated this trip, and will most likely never book with VRBO again.

Fun Float house.
Was nice to have the boat outside our door even though it was an extra charge. Being on the water was great but the house was tucked in amoung other houses. View was not great. Wonderful lake and weather was nice. Bayview is a fun little town.

Float House = FUN!
Float houses are such a unique vacation experience. It's a must try! A house that sits on water, and is NOT a boat, what's not to love?!?

Neat and fun experience
We had a terrific time exploring Bayview and Farragut State Park but the nice part about the trip was returning to the cool Float House. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

The house was nice. The only thing that I would recommend is to replace the broken chairs on the back patio deck.

Clean and Comfortable!
Great location, close to Silverwood. Clean, quiet and cozy. We really enjoyed being here! The covered deck has a great view of the water and surrounding mountains, rain or shine, it was the perfect spot. Seeing all of the other boat houses was a fun experience. Bring your kayak or SUP! Easy walk to the Mercantile, which has a little bit of everything and friendly service.
When it rained,we watched a movie and played games. We would like to come again!

Houseboat Retreat
This Houseboat was a wonderful experience. My family of 6 had never stayed on a houseboat so we didn’t know what to expect.
The beds were comfortable, the other accommodations were good, and the scenic view was incredible.
We would definitely stay here again.

Hidden gem!
Great location, clean and neat. Close to stores. The home was a little out dated but we loved the old school vibe, it was very comfortable and felt like home. Definitely coming back next year. Thank you!

Good stay
Other than spiders everywhere at night it was nice clean and cozy. Would stay again.
Wish that they would of mentioned spiders before rental, because of my arachnophobic wife. Lol

Complete Misrepresentation
About the only thing we loved was the laundromat in the town of Bayview. It was modern, clean, and inexpensive. However, the Float Home Hideway was out of date, rundown, and very expensive. We wouldn't recommend this to anyone we know.

We will be back
Loved this float house!! It was clean. It had everything we needed...in the kitchen and bathrooms and everywhere else! Sitting on the balcony watching the sailboats, the geese and the ducks was so relaxing. I am ready to go back!

Loved our stay
This location was everything we expected, plus more. The king bed upstairs was so comfortable that I hated to leave. We really enjoyed the upstairs patio area for relaxing and fishing. Silverwood is 20 mins away. I would definitely stay here again.
