If you're looking for an oceanfront, dog-friendly home with amazing views and space for up to seven guests, look no further than this wonderful Rockaway Beach vacation rental! When you stay here you will be just steps from the beach, and you will enjoy a home that has plenty of space and entertainment options for everyone.
Located a couple of miles north of Rockaway Beach proper, in the Nedonna Beach area of town, this home is perched right on a fantastic stretch of coastline. You can step off the patio and walk right out onto the beach, watch for whales from inside the living room, or explore Rockaway Beach itself without straying too far from this home.
Walk up several stairs to reach the front door, and step inside this home to find a bright and welcoming living space with plenty of sunshine streaming in through the ocean-facing windows. The living room has some cozy seating, a flatscreen TV, and the star of the show: huge picture windows that offer views of the beach and the sea. Entertainment options available throughout the home include WiFi access, cable TV, Blu-ray/DVD players, board games, and books, though you may be content to enjoy the gorgeous views.
This upper level also houses a full, open kitchen. Complete with double ovens, a large fridge, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and plenty of other tools and equipment, the chef in your group will have no trouble cooking up tasty meals here. A dining room table and a breakfast bar provide places for everyone to sit and enjoy a hot breakfast before heading out for a morning walk on the beach.
Upstairs you'll find two bedrooms, and there is one bedroom downstairs. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a cozy sitting area by the windows, a flatscreen TV, and an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower and a marvelous jetted bathtub. Two more bedrooms will accommodate remaining guests, one with a king-size bed and the other with a queen. There's another full bathroom with a tub/shower combination accessible from the hallway.
Downstairs you will find a large play room that provides more entertainment options. There's a pool table, a stereo, a card table, seating, and even a set of weights. This would be a great way for teenagers to have their own space to hang out, or for an entire family to have a quiet room of their own to chat. A convenient bathroom is on this level, as well as a sleeper sofa and two armchairs that fold out into twin-size beds.
Altogether with the three bedrooms and additional sleeping options downstairs, this home has plenty of space for seven guests. While you're here you will also enjoy a laundry room, an outdoor patio area, a grill stored in the garage, and two adult bicycles that you're welcome to use.
Because you're so close to the beach, you will want to spend plenty of time strolling along the sand and enjoying the fresh sea air. Watch for whales during migration season, or enjoy a fabulous coastal sunset every evening. Right here in Rockaway Beach, you will find just about everything you may need, including great restaurants, a market, and some souvenir shops. If you want to drive into a larger town, take a 25-minute drive down the highway to Tillamook, which has an amazing and famous cheese factory, a variety of restaurants, and plenty of stores.
If the weather is nice, be sure to explore more of the beautiful Northern Coast! Just west from Tillamook is the Cape Meares State Park, which has hiking areas, jaw-dropping viewpoints, and a historic lighthouse. You could also go boating, fishing, or crabbing in the Tillamook Bay, or Nehalem Bay (just north of Rockaway Beach). If you do drive north, stop in at Oswald West State Park or Ecola State Park for more hiking, scenic viewpoints, and picnic areas. With so much to do in the area, you won't have trouble finding ways to stay busy!
Come stay at this oceanfront, dog-friendly Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental and enjoy a wonderful beach getaway with your loved ones!

This home feels like another home to us. We book it every summer. We love the community and all the beauty the area offers.

This place is just back from the beach, easily reached by a short trail through the grass right out of the back yard. Fantastic ocean views from the living room!
The house was well set up for our group of three couples, one with an infant, and a single person, plus a dog. Plenty of room for everyone! The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cooking gear, and we loved the propane grill out back. We appreciated the washer and dryer also.

The location was perfect on a quiet area of beach. The house layout was great, especially for a family. We really loved the way it was furnished and decorated. However, if you opened a cabinet or drawer in the kitchen, the items were covered in dust and grease. Some of the pots had crusted food on them. We not only had to wash everything before we used it, we had to pull out the cutlery organizer and cleaned what felt like years of grease off it (was very thick and black). It was similar with the extra beds in the downstairs rec room and the extra comforters and pillows. The bathrooms need work - the shower doors fell off easily and one of the showers wouldn’t drain.

We loved being oceanfront with such easy beach access. Massive views of the coastline. Comfortable house, appreciated open kitchen layout. We cooked two meals, oven and all burners worked perfectly. We would definitely stay again.

Location of home is great. House itself could use some updates.

This house had everything we needed and wanted. Beautiful views, open layout, direct access to the beach... I feel really grateful we got to have our Oregon Coast experience here.

Right on the ocean. Beautiful views from all windows. Large and comfortable home.

Nice house, great location. Fun pool table downstairs. Some of the appliances need upgrading.

Amazing home great view nice furniture. Great access to the ocean!
Freezer did not freeze. We put ice cubes as soon as we got there for cocktails and wasn’t solid after three days! Only one showerhead worked and that was in the master bedroom so we had our four boys using our bathroom the whole time during our vacation privacy as Parents wasn’t enjoyable.
Also, the sliding glass door that has access to the beach was kind of tricky to close.
Minutes away from town cool little shops great food great people just go with a respectable attitude and your fine anywhere.

The house was fantastic. Well equipped to cook dinners for the family. A short walk down a sandy path to the beach just off the back patio. The pool table was nice to have for after the kids went to bed. The house was clean, beds were comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.

This is a great home, with a great location. Very clean, comfortable beds and right on the beach! My only complaint is that the kitchen lacks working tools, like the hand mixer did not work, and the knives were dull. I would definitely go back to this home, but I would bring more items from home if I was planning a large dinner.

The location is wonderful, out the back door and a short walk to the ocean. Overall care of the house is good for its age. We loved having sand toys available and having a faucet to wash off our feet.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Well suited for multi-family beach weekend. Enjoyed the beach, Coastal Train and Red Cedar walk.

We loved the location of the property but felt it could use some updating. Unfortunately, nearly all of the windows were not usable and we were not allowed to open them. The burners on the stove took a very long time to heat up when using and the water and ice maker did not work on the refrigerator. The dishwasher also did not clean the dishes very well. Just seems like the house needs a little TLC but we otherwise enjoyed it.

If it wasn't for the ocean view the home would have no positive qualities. None of the windows open and the fireplace is not operational down stairs. The home stayed very warm up stairs and was not able to have the windows open to cool it off. If we turned on the A/C the, already cool down stairs would be much colder. The smoke detector was chirping continuously, finally removed the battery without a resolution from the property management. Nice view and easy access to the beach is the best perk with the house.

The house was perfect for all of us, ocean view is amazing, pool table was a huge hit with the adult kids and teenage grandkids. The only issue we had is that the dining room table that is in the house is not the same as the one in the photos. It only has 4 chairs which is odd since the house can have 9 people. There are bar stools at the counter but does not make it comfortable to sit at the table to eat together or play board games.

Hello,
Wanted to bring certain things to your notice about the property.
1. This is a very very old unkept property with very old out dated appliances.
2. Dishwasher does not clean dishes and leaves residue on all the dishes.
3. All the cupboards in the house are almost broken. You try to open a drawer, and the drawer almost falls out.
4. Kitchen items are all old and some items don't work at all.
5. Curtains in the house are so so old - the curtain near the kitchen sliding door is all torn and extremely dirty.
6. Beds are old and make screeching sound and very bad on the back.
7. All windows cannot be opened because we understand that water might seep in if we accidentally keep it open now that it's raining. But in summer it might get very hot and if we are unable to open the windows, it will be extremely inconvenient.
8. Also, the bathroom doors in the basement do not have locks for privacy.
9. The Elliptical machine in the basement is not functional. It's looks like it's just kept for show and to fool people into thinking the house has all good amenities.
10. Lastly, making checkout time at 10am rather than 11am like most properties and then charging extra money for late checkout. This is a very poor service provided by Vacasa.
Only plus point in this property is the ocean view and the easy ocean access.
We are very very disappointed and feel we paid extremely high price for this property.
I am sorry but I cannot recommend this property to anyone.

This house is spacious, well equipped for a family the beds were comfy. We ate all meals in, the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great view of the storms, we appreciated the easy access to the beach, when the weather was calm we enjoyed the beach for kite flying.

The house had a nice, open floor plan which was great for the amount of people we had. The view was spectacular and access to the beach was quick and easy. The beds were all comfortable and it was great to have 3 bathrooms. We were disappointed that so many of the windows were broken and couldn't open, especially in the evening when the sun was full on the picture windows and it got hot. There was no AC so fortunately we found some fans. The largest burner on the stove didn't work which was aggravating since we did all of our meals there. It was comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed for a short visit.

This is our second time at Beach Whale. Disappointed that windows that didn’t open in 2018 still didn’t open in 2022. The rugs need updating too. Beach access and view are incredible. Will stay again. Hoping for a few updates though.

Because the landscaping was too overgrown, the address numbers and the “Vacasa Property” sign for the lot were difficult to see. The lot needs grooming. Two of the bathtub/showers had problems. We could not get those two showers to operate so ended up all using the master shower. Minor convenience.
The house was spotless and all beds were super comfortable.

Solid Beach Rental
We were totally satisfied with this beach rental and will likely return. House was perfect for 2 families. Excellent beach and neighborhood.

Right on the beach! location can't be any better
Great location and unbeatable access to the beach. The views were spectacular. We had a group of 5 plus dog. Wonderful features: super easy check in and check out, many towels available, ample kitchen tools, we had fun with the games, puzzles, and pool table. Minor cons: couldn't open any windows, the bbq was unkempt, there were some ants in the kitchen. With that said, the place still deserves a 5/5.

A great weekend
The house is clean, well stocked and has a really nice view. The house allows pets, but doesn’t smell like dogs. Our weekend the sun was out and it was basically balmy outside. Great family weekend!

Family friendly beach house
Nice, open kitchen/dining/great room! Delighted to find MANY toys to play with -- great for families with small children! Well-equipped kitchen with double oven, but one stove burner didn't work. Gorgeous view of the ocean with easy access to the beach. Yes, there are 4 spaces for parking (as advertised), but maneuvering is required for cars to get out. We would stay here again!

Forgotten vacation home
When we first arrived we thought we had the wrong house, it was overgrown and unkempt, nothing like the pictures. Go inside and it needs a thorough dusting and vaccuming, dog fur and dust galore. Can't open any of the windows becasue they are all broken and there was one plug to share between the bathrooms. Eventhough it was summer and a bit warmer, it was freezing in the house. Trying to lock the door was a bit of trouble, it was sticking. Plus the trail to the beach was a lot farther than once thought. For the price we paid, i expected cleanliness and working windows.

Our New Favorite Place at Rockaway
We love Rockaway beach and really enjoyed our recent stay at Beach Whale! The house has a great view with only a short walk down a path to the beach. It has comfortable beds and furniture. It was vey clean and appears to have been updated since the photos posted at the time we booked. Super cozy with nice beach house decor and new flooring and furniture in the kitchen. Kitchen is very well equipped and the layout of the house was perfect for our family. Our teenagers enjoyed having the lower and pool table to themselves. We appreciated the open concept upstairs and view of the ocean from the kitchen and family room. Laundry room next to kitchen is very convenient. Master bedroom upstairs also has an ocean view. Additional bedroom upstairs was perfect for our 11 year old. It's pet friendly and worked out nicely for us with our 2 dogs. Hose on the back porch to wash off sandy feet and paws. We also enjoyed using the gas barbecue. Plenty of towels, bedding and extra supplies (tp/paper towels/soaps etc). As others pointed out, many of the windows could not be opened but it wasn't a problem because the house has AC and a ceiling fan in the family room. Amazing sunsets. This is definitely our new favorite place to stay at Rockaway!

Great place to stay
It was amazing to have views of the sunset each night we were there. The house was cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately they had "Do not open" signs on every window in the house. That was a bummer because we love to listen to the ocean at night and have that breeze coming through. All in all, we were happy with our stay, and would stay again.

Just okay
We were told there was no early check-in "due to covid cleaning". However, we arrived an hour early and had to sit in the driveway awaiting our check-in time even though the house was empty and there were no cleaning people inside. Considering this strict policy the place was average at best. There were bits of plastic and yarn on the stairs leading to the front door. Sand covered the cushioned bench by the kitchen. Long dark hairs were on the bathroom floor and there was not one bar of soap to shower and clean with. Pictures made the surrounding area look lovely, however, while the grasses on the beach side of the house were as pictured...the front yard area was an overgrown mess. Then check-out was at 10am! Hardly time to get up, have breakfast and pack up after a two day stay. The house worked for our needs but we will not be staying there again. A dissapointing experience for the price we paid!!
