About this house rental
The original owner of this property told us that she felt like she lived in a tree house. She was right! Enjoy lazy days under the shade of these big beautiful live oaks. Updated recently with new floors and furnishings, you will find our home very comfortable and peaceful.
This home with 2 spacious bedrooms and 1 bathroom sleeps 4 people comfortably. Queen size bed in master, full size bed in guest room. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots & pans, utensils, dishes, and enough "essentials" in bathroom and kitchen to get your vacation started.
Once you get settled in, go out and enjoy the outdoors. The pristine Weeki Wachee River is home to an abundance of wildlife. You'll see sheepshead, mullet, blue crabs, and of course manatees. I counted 10 manatees one early morning leaving the spring at the end of our canal! And of course tropical birds, hawks, and eagles. Use my kayaks (3) or canoe (1) or bring your boat and tie up to my dock. Or you can rent a jon boat or kayaks from the marina across the road from the entrance to my neighborhood. Take the provided beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrella to the beach at Rogers Park, on the river (2 min away) or Pine Island, on the gulf (10 min).
My family and I have been spending weekends in this home for 10 years. It should have everything you need to enjoy your time here.

We had a wonderful time soaking up the sun, kayaking, eating out and relaxing! The home was exactly as described and welcoming. We enjoyed all the amenities provided. During our downtime we got to enjoy watching the demolition of an older home across the canal. We can’t wait to see what takes it’s place on our next visit. We will be returning to this home without a doubt!! Thank you for sharing your home!

Me and my sister came for her birthday. Place was perfect on the river. We launched our paddleboards from the dock on the property. We paddleboarded for 3 days up and down the river tp the gulf to the springs. Docked our boards at upper deck and had drinks and great food. Watched a sunset from our boards. Place is clean with everything you need and host has great communication.

We had a great time. The property was quiet and well equipped for a river activity stay. Our plan was to kayak and see various river animals. We saw otters, dolphins, a manatee, lots of birds we've seen only in zoos, and turtles.
We definately would stay again.

The home was fabulous and perfect for our little weekend getaway. Having the kayaks were great as we spent the day paddling up and down the canals and river. Saw a momma and Baby manatee to top off the day. Would stay here again

We had everything we needed. It was clean, cozy and convenient. I was able to launch my SUP and float down the river all day stopping to manatee gaze, swim and eat.

We had a great stay at the “Tree House”. We stayed 7 nights and kayaked most days with the provided kayaks. We also used the bikes and checked out the neighborhood. The channel was quiet compared to the river especially since there was some spring break activity still going on. The river was crazy busy on the weekend but that’s probably fun for younger people. We preferred the weekdays. Nice location and loved the deck overlooking the channel to spot manatees, birds and the random kitties that prowled the properties across the channel. The property was well equipped.

The property was clean and perfect for us. Everything you could’ve needed was right there in the home. Kayaks, paddles, firewood, fish baskets, dishes, appliances, everything. Even had a handicap elevator. Just toss the kayaks off the dock and your off to whatever kind of adventure you want! We seen manatees, turtles, blue crab, etc. Then come home to have some drinks on the patio by the fire pit. Loved this place.

House was clean and we found it very comfortable. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. Great location for going to explore the Weeki Wachee river using the kayaks/canoe provided. The water a few kayak strokes upstream is crystal clear, and the location is ideal to explore downstream with great wildlife viewing and fantastic sunsets (bring adequate lighting to return safely). We visited the week prior to Easter and found the river a bit crowded upstream from 10h00 to 3h00, but people were polite and engaging. We also found other nice spots (beaches, parks, walks, fishing piers etc…) within a 45 minute drive using visitor information found in the house. I recommend without hesitation.

House was perfect! Loved the use of kayaks and a canoe and there were also 3 bikes we could have used. We didn’t, because we spent our time on the water. Seen tons and tons of different fish, 2 huge manatees swam by early in the morning and also a pretty big turtle one day. We were able to kayak all the way to the Gulf, that was a beautiful float.

We really enjoyed staying here. We came down to visit the springs in the area and hopefully see some manatees. We had 3 swim right by us as we were sitting on the dock. I want to come back in the off season when things are a little cooler and quieter and I know just the place.

Needed a short Mothers Day getaway before our busy Lawn season as we own a lawn care company about an hour away from the river. All expectations were met. Only wish is an a/c vent in bathroom. Hard to taking a relaxing shower and feel refreshed when bathroom is humid when you get in. Every else was magnificent and house is beautiful.

My sister and I returned to Weeki Wachee for our cousin’s wedding. Our family owns multiple properties in the area. We wanted to stay somewhere right in the ‘nest’ and the ‘Like A Tree House’ spot was PERFECT. We saw all kinds of wildlife and the manatee were running often. Spotless house with every amenity you can imagine. Just a great stay. Thank you!!!

Girls Only Weeki Wachee Mermaid Adventure
Celebrating grown daughter’s birthday with all girl Weeki Wachee Mermaid adventure. After a partial day at Weeki Wachee we returned to the house. After a short rest, we took 2 kayaks and the canoe out to paddle to the springs. This house put us in the best possible place to get to the springs. A short paddle under the bridge you see The Upper Deck restaurant on the left and Rogers Park on the right. Keep straight past park and you see the springs. We saw a Momma manatee and her baby. This was more fun than Weeki Wachee and heck of a lot cheaper! The water was gorgeous.
The house was well decorated, spotless and the beds were very comfy. We did absolutely fine despite only 1 bathroom and 4 ladies. The only negative is there were supposed to be 4 kayaks but was only 3 (1 of 3 was a sit inside type) so 2 ladies had to use the canoe which is a little more tricky. The owner probably did not realize one is missing. The neighbors in the canal were very friendly and we entertained them during both afternoons learning to kayak! I will definitely plan another trip, only if we can stay at this house! 🧜♀️❤️🧜♀️

River tree house
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Very clean and in a great location. We brought a jet ski so we didnt use the provided kayaks, but several were available along with life jackets. Floating dock on canal was useful as well.
