Outstanding accommodations. Kitchen was fully functioning with every appliance and utensil needed to make homemade meals. The three rooms plus loft were more than adequate for our family of four adults and four children. The Lake Tahoe area was beautiful this time of year (June). Not many places where you can suntan on the beach and look across the lake at the snow-covered mountains. I highly recommend this vacation rental and would definitely stay here again if visiting Lake Tahoe.

Our family stayed here for 10 days for Christmas break 2022 and had several issues with this cabin. 1.The furnace stopped working in the middle of the night on 2 different nights. We were freezing cold. The first time they replaced the filter which seemed to fix it, but then it stopped working again our last night. We were freezing cold both nights. The furnace obviously needs work.2.The front door and walkway are directly under the roof and snow dumps off the roof onto the front walkway which blocks the exit from the front door. We needed to shovel snow off the walkway every day in order to leave the cabin. 3. The front entrance/hallway of the cabin is very small with a very small welcome mat. There is no closet or coat rack to hang coats, clothes, etc. And there's no place to store boots and shoes. There is a large cabinet with wine glasses next to the front entrance which has no real purpose ... get rid of the cabinet and install a coat rack, coat hooks, shoe cubby, etc. Install a new larger welcome mat to absorb snow/water when people enter.4. No place inside or outside to store skis, sleds, etc.5. Beds and mattresses are old, uncomfortable, creaky, loud. Replace all of them and put a king bed in master (currently has queen).

Location is great! House is comfortable!
Perfect house for my/our get-away.
I needed a semi-solo vacation after having just lost my mom and so I booked this home and headed up to Tahoe.
I was there for 6 days by myself (my husband came up on day 7) and felt safe, secure and had everything I needed to really get some R n’ R.
Comfortable bed, comfortable couches, throw blankets, warm fireplace, electric tea pot, plenty of TV and books to keep myself distracted. My dog, Isabella, and I enjoyed many walks in the neighborhood and at the beach. We explored Tahoe City (15 minutes away), Incline (15 minutes in the other direction), Truckee/Donner Lake (15 minutes in another direction), so the location is very central and easily accessible to all areas. The neighborhood was very quiet with no thru traffic, so that was really nice for our daily walks. The only annoying noise was a landscaper that was a little too ‘blower happy’ one morning and literally did not stop blowing the yard of a neighboring house for well over an hour…argh.
Regardless, I wouldn’t hesitate to book the home again.

We would like to have enjoyed West Rim and Tahoe, unfortunately it did not happen.
We checked in late Saturday and Sunday morning awoke to smoke in the house and ash falling from the sky. Needless to say we promptly left.
The Hospitality app that was downloaded to access the property had the wrong access code.
The deck needed replacing, there were a few spongy areas.

Needs upgrading; Poor business practices by Tahoe North Rentals
I probably would have rated this property a 3 or so but given the practices of the property management company (Tahoe North Rentals) I am giving it one star. One morning during our stay we unexpectedly had people knocking on our door to visit the house for a future rental. We were in the middle of caring for kids, making breakfast, and were given no notice by Tahoe North Rentals. By law we didn't have to let people in to see it but we did to be helpful to the interested renters (since it wasn't their fault). When we followed up with Tahoe North Rentals for a credit/discount of some sort given the disruption during our vacation stay and lack of notice, Ford said he would look into it with the manager but never called back. They also didn't respond to multiple emails. The least they could do is respond professionally with whatever decision they had made. Don't be surprised if others drop in on your stay there given how they operate. As for the property and as another stated, it could use some upgrading especially in the kitchen, patio, etc. but it has an excellent location and sleeps 8 people with the loft.

Just TWO problems
We had the hardest time with the door knob and dead bolt on the front door. I would replace that before the next quest checks in. Also, my wife was afraid to step in the grate at the front door because it moved every time you put some weight on it. She did get some satisfaction from calling the number we had for a local handyman who came out the same day and addressed the problem. Nice cabin over all but could use a little upgrading. I would start with new modern patio furniture for your nice deck.

In need of a face lift
Rented this house for a summer vacation. The description and pictures make the house appear nicer than it was. Couches and carpets very stained and dirty, pots and pans very worn. Dishwasher did not work. Great location and beautiful setting but definitely could use some updating.
