My family loves the West Shore, and the house is located near the lake and close to a private access beach. We were able to reserve a picnic table the days we went there, and we could take our dog in the morning until 10am. We could walk to the beach from the house, but it does require crossing a very busy main road without a crosswalk.
The house is designed well if you have a larger group but still want to have some separate space/privacy. The fourth and fifth rooms are in a separate unit across the porch. I would note that it does require taking stairs to get all of the five rooms. If you aren't sure you need all rooms, I'd recommend going with less and adding more once you confirm that you need 4 or 5. I found it a bit confusing trying to discern the pricing differences when updating my reservation.
There were a few things that could be improved, which I have communicated directly to Laure. Overall, our family had a great time during our week in Tahoe.

The vacation was a huge success in large part to the property we rented. It was perfect. The weather was hot but because of the access to the private beach it did not matter. We had 11 people staying and the house handled the group easily. I highly recommend this property.

Our party of 10 had an amazing stay at this property over the July 4th week! The house has plenty of space and was stocked for entertainment for all ages. The house was clean and comfortable and the private beach access made this whole week all that much better! Already talking about when we can make another trip back!

Perfect big house for our large group ski trip. We loved the ability to adjust the # of rooms to our group size - it really is what influenced us to pick this property. Kitchen is very well-stocked which made group dinners easy and fun, we loved the great big kitchen table. E
Laure was very pleasant to work with and went out of her way to explain things during the payment and check-in process.

We had a fun time in this property! The living room filled with large windows gave a very nice view to the snow scape! The outdoor hot tub was a nice touch with a nice view! BBQ grill is conveniently located on the deck right next to the ktichen and dinning room which made it extra convenient to cook and serve. Besides the tedious process of turning off and unhooking the bear wires everytime we go outside, the overall experience of the stay was very nice!

House was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. It rained our whole trip but we still had a blast. Would definitely stay here again.

Outdoor space was great for a large family. The hot tub and corn hole game were fun for evenings outside. The property itself had some areas that could benefit from improvement. The bathrooms were updated (although worth mentioning that the master bath does not have a door-- it is open floor plan into the bedroom. For families sharing bathrooms this makes coordination awkward at times and would have been nice to know prior to booking) and nice but the outdoor porch from the main floor looks like it needs some work. Additionally, the areas in the house could benefit from cleaning -- for example the light fixtures in the kitchen clearly hadn't been cleaned. They were covered with greasy dust and dead gnats. Additionally, the lock boxes on the doors are old and very difficult to open. We got off to a rocky start with the host. A lot of the check in procedures and information were not clear and she was not available to respond to questions we had but once we were on the second day of our stay she did respond and we worked through issues we needed. Access to the local HoA beach was a direct walk down the hill but it would be nice to offer beach chairs or something for renters so that when people travel to the house they are able to take something to sit on at the beach since it's rocky. If you're traveling from out of state, this isn't something you can bring in travel luggage.

Great location. Excellent restaurants and a short walk to Lake Tahoe. Met up with friends prior to running the Rubicon Jeep Trail. House was clean and in good condition. Almost everything is in walking distance. Great weekend!

The house (we used all 5 bedrooms) was a great spot for a family reunion. House was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor space with the hot tub and lawn games was a lot of fun for the whole family. Access to the lake and community space a short walk away was a plus. We'd come back again!

This property had all the comforts of home and a hot tub. We loved the convenience of the lake being so close and access to the private dock and park. We had 11 family members of all ages who loved every minute. Thank you!

Oh, my goodness. We truly enjoyed our stay at the beginning of June. We had a big group but it never felt that way at this property. We loved how everything was set up.

We arrived on 5 May to an unlikely snowy paradise. Everything inside and out of the home was shipshape and clean. Although we only rented three of the bedrooms for the five friends, more units were available if needed. Laure was responsive to our questions. Hot tub was a lovely respite, especially as snow continued to fall all around. Very cozy LR couch for all. Dining room table is a lovely planed timber and seating gave us a fabulous view down to Lake Tahoe. We walked down the road to enjoy the HOA private beach and dock area. So peaceful.

We loved the hot tub and all the windows — the sunsets were gorgeous! The common space was a bit small/disjointed for a larger group (we rented all 5 bedrooms), but overall we recommend this property! Laure was able to let us check in a couple hours early which we were very appreciative of, as well. The location is close to the Palisades resort as well as Tahoe City which was very convenient!

Check-in was simple and convenient. The place had three nicely setup rooms and enough space to battery comfortably in the living room. Kitchen was pretty well equipped.

My family which includes an 18 month old, a dog, and 8 adults stayed in this beautiful cabin during this past extremely stormy weekend. The host was very straight forward and easy to communicate with from the very beginning. There is an additional fee for bringing our dog (and requires the host’s ok) and I did accidentally book less than the all 5 bedrooms that I originally wanted but the host assisted with all of that at the onset which was nice and made the booking process very easy. Upon arrival, we found all the check-in instructions very easy to follow and straight forward. The cabin was cozy, the yard was spacious, and we felt that we had everything we needed to make the weekend comfortable! There were lots of kitchenware, spices, and the kitchen had a lot of storage for the extra things we brought ourselves. The bedding was very comfortable and everyone raved about how well they slept. I was a little nervous for my infant because there were some stairs by the living room area and this was communicated at the listing and in the pdf but the host supplied some baby gates so that made me feel much better. There was a high chair and pack and play available to us as well. They also had a dog bowl for my pup. The living room had board games, lots of places to sit, and there was a tv with different options for us to stream the World Cup and sports using the Apple TV, watch regular tv, Netflix, Hulu, etc. My favorite thing about this cabin is probably the view and spaciousness to hang out outside. The view all around inside and out of the cabin was just spectacular! My baby loved the snowman that someone built. This weekend brought out like 6 ft of snow and 4 ft in one night! We were so nervous we were going to be stuck but we found ourselves enjoying the the snow from morning to night despite the storm. The host was accommodating to late check out while we were watching road conditions and never made us feel like we were rushed out when it wasn’t safe to go. She was quick to answer any questions we had. The neighbors were very friendly, and there was snow plow service which was reassuring on a weekend like ours where snowfall was heavy. We built snowmen, had snowball fights, and it was just a winter wonderland vacation for our short stay. We look forward to coming back here next time and enjoying all the additional amenities available!

Since the owner and I have been in communication, after my stay, the listing has been updated. The listing stated there was a crib when there was no crib but a pack n play. The listing stated there was an additional futon when there was a mattress on the floor. The listing has since been updated from sleeps 16 to sleeps 12. Our group had 12. One of the reasons we booked here was people could have beds/rooms to themselves. Now, some people had to sleep on the floor (on a mattress) There was extra bunk bed icons that were misleading. The bunk bed is a twin + a queen or king.
Overall, the house was well kept, clean and fun to hang out at. I like that most bedrooms have their own full bathroom. Only 1 room does not so they must use the common bathroom next to the kitchen. I like that the bathrooms had soap, shampoo and conditioner. The hot tub was great! Note that the back door light does NOT turn on. The kitchen is well stocked and has plenty of storage. The dining room is small! Keeping in the mind the door to the patio opens INWARD can cause some traffic jams. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of warm blankets.
Some things I would like to recommend to the owner would be: 1. Invest in outside couch covers for the patio set. The blue patio couches are no longer where they show in pictures but in the backyard under large trees dropping leaves/needles 2. Remove or replace the loose glass from the inside fire place. There are fist size holes of glass that are connected by tape. I was very nervous having a toddler in the living room 3. Communicate on the listing that the futon is not on a couch or chair but on the ground. 4. Update the pictures. The living room couch is updated. Also, the "futons" in the bedrooms were not pictured. 5. Allow some storage space for larger items. For example, someone in our group brought a kayak, with nowhere to store it. If it was snow season and we had discs, skis, snowboards, etc. 6. I found myself referring the PDF very often. Yes, I could have printed it out and brought it with me. It would be nice to have a hard copy at the home. Many of the vrbos that I have stayed at have supplied a hard copy.
I would not stay here again because I felt the original listing was innacurate and the owner was trying to attract larger groups. I would have probably stayed at another home if I knew about those. The owner was fast in responding and is going to have the sliding door to one of the bathrooms fixed

This is a great property with plenty of space for everyone! The backyard is stunning with games, a jacuzzi, a bbq, and plenty of adirondacks, chaises and couches to relax! The quick walk to the private beach is icing on the cake. Lovely place- we will definitely return!!!

We have stayed in various locations through the years around Lake Tahoe and this is by far the best (Tahoe City). The house was as advertised. The bear fences were a bit tedious, especially on days we came and went multiple times. The layout was great for our group as far as everyone having their own space/bathrooms, etc. I will say if you have mobility issues, the stairs may be a bit difficult. The backyard was awesome! We brought our dog and she was nice and safe with the fully fenced yard. The neighborhood was also great for walks.

The house is in a great location in Tahoe City. It is large and roomy and worked well for our girlfriend group of 10. We rented the entire property and it was nice having the extra space and bathrooms. The backyard is spacious and we enjoyed playing Cornhole. There is a beautiful private beach just down the street past the main road. We had a wonderful weekend!

We had 3 families stay at the property. It was super close to the lake with HOA beach access. We love the west side and this property is the perfect location. Thank you Laure for a great stay. The jacuzzi worked and there was plenty of space for everyone. I especially liked how the 2 units were separate for more privacy. Overall I recommend for a large group.

We had a wonderful time in this huge home and huge yard. We loved the corn hole, horse shoe, and hot tub. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space.
We had a bit of a rough start as the cleaning crew had a mix in their calendar and we had to wait until almost 7pm for them to finish. Because of the rushed cleaning, there were some things missed outdoors, but overall it was fine.
We would have loved a hard copy of the notes for the home. It was frustrating to not have that handy for information/directions to private beach/house procedures..etc.
Things to know: The private beach is down the street and a great place to relax, but you need to drive as the street is too dangerous to walk across. I couldn’t find any information about an access key, only that we needed to put it away at checkout.
There are no baking sheets and only 2 very old pans besides for the cast iron. I would’ve brought my own, as we like to make breakfast.
There are no notes to add chlorine to the hot tub unless you happen to see the can of it on the ground.
I recommend this place, especially if you have a large party!!

Laure’s house was perfect for our group. We loved that every one was able to have their own bathroom. It’s always a hassle having to wait especially with smaller kids.
I personally loved the beds, super comfy and soft for my taste. Kitchen was pretty well stocked. We are big cookers so we were missing our larger pots and pans but we made due. We had everything we needed. The large dinning table was perfect for eating and playing cards great size. The living room has a large sectional couch which was very comfortable and also turned into a bed. We didn’t use it but it was nice to know it was available.
We took full advantage of the hot tub and bbq grill.
The bear fence at first was a little intimidating but it was actually super simple to turn off and set.
I would recommend if you have little ones who love to get into everything to bring a gate or 2. The house has a flight of stairs to go up and another that goes down. I only brought one but we managed to block off the other with our snow gear containers.
Overall we all had an amazing time!
Thank you Laure for hosting us!
I’m sure we will be back in the future.

Nice but… missing key items as pictured or mentioned. No foosball table or games, hot tub doesn’t get hot, no extra towels and NO WORKING INSIDE FIRE, no baking sheet, no baking pan and no ice trays. House shows nicer than it actually is. It worked for us and we had a great time but for the money spent we could have done much better.

We enjoyed our stay. We found the online photos slightly misleading but this is likely because there are two properties available for rent and we only rented one of them. It would be helpful to have some clarification in the photos. All of our linens were still in the dryer which took some time to locate and then fold. Otherwise we had a nice experience and enjoyed our stay.

This is a classic Tahoe house and great for a large group; Each bedroom has a corresponding bathroom which is ideal for a large number of guests as well. We loved the hot tub and fenced-in yard. I was also pleasantly surprised that the living room area has a very large couch which seems to be newer than the listing photos. The kitchen is well stocked. Also plenty of beds for a mixture of households. My only suggestions would be for more folding chairs to be available, and better lighting in the living room. Note there is no functional fireplace if you are looking for that, but the house is well-heated. Also, there is no access to the garage, so you will have to store skis somewhere else after a day on the slopes. Managing the bear fence was new to my group and I, but reasonable enough to learn.

House was well-equipped and perfect for a multi-generational reunion.

We had an excellent time staying here. Perfect for my 3 year old niece, 9 month old nephew, my in laws, plus 4 millennial adults eager to relax. We loved the park and lake access--perfect for families. Didn't end up using the jacuzzi but grill was perfect for meals at home. We will return!

This is a lovely home, perfect for our family of 7. We enjoyed the fire pit and the back yard games. The kitchen had all the items we needed and we had many meals at the home.
The location is wonderful, close to grocery stores, restaurants and local activities. The Tahoe Tree top was close by and an awesome activity. We enjoyed the local park by the lake, and the one in the city. Hiking trails were awesome too. We had a great family gathering and will come back again. Highly recommend the home.
A couple things that would have been nice, throw pillows and blankets on the couch, it was chilly most morning.

This was our second time staying at the house with a group of 9 adults and two babies. The space is great with 5 bedrooms spread out for everyone to have their own space. Having access to the HOA beach is a plus, and we were able to reserve a picnic there one day. The backyard is large and a great space for the dogs to run around in. We hope to return next summer!

Our group of 11 women had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious, clean, and in a great location -- walking distance to the beach and several lovely restaurants and shops, and a short drive to several others in downtown Tahoe City. We also loved the beautiful yard and hot tub. We would love to go back and would highly recommend a stay at Laure's home.
