This is our 5th stay at the Cottages . We’ve stayed two times each a two other houses . It’s conveniently located to the beach and the pools are an added plus.
Cons-The master bedroom bed's frame is very creaky ( maybe broken) as is the front bedroom bed. The hand rail on the outside front porch going up to the front door is coming off the wall / broken. The master suite ceiling fan doesn't work. It’s very warm on the third floor and the fan is needed. There isn’t a vacuum or broom/ dustpan so we couldn't keep up with the sand and kitchen crumbs . There wasn’t any kitchen towels or sponge . Would be nice to have some extra pillows, linens and blankets. It needs to be refreshed as far as kitchen glasses , cookware and would be nice to have plastic cups for kids.
Pros- large house that can accommodate 10 people easily. Lots of balconies. Appliances are in good condition as was the air conditioning. Hot water was great and washer and dryer were relatively new. Ice maker worked well.

Location, beach and pool were fantastic. Bedrooms/bathrooms were all clean. Layout/space of the house was great. Nice washer/dryer.
Walls, furniture, and vents were filthy. We didn’t sit as a family in the family room bc the furniture was so dirty. There isn’t much deck furniture to enjoy any of the decks. We had family close by and could spend time at their house, luckily. Rent your own beach chairs - the ones provided are in disrepair. We didn’t have sinks that drained in the master and the main level of the house was 91 degrees when we checked in. The cleaning people were still there when we arrived at 4:30 and tried calling the property manager for us so we could speak directly with them. They wouldn’t speak to us and instead texted us. After hours of no solution, and multiple calls, we called VRBO to assist. Once we did that, we were able to speak with someone and the air conditioning was eventually fixed that evening. We rent 3-4 properties per year and have never had issues like this before - I would not rent another home managed by Vacasa.

Plenty of room in this house. Location is perfect. Pool area and boardwalk was great. Beach area super. This is about our 4th or 5th year to rent this house.

Stayed in this house last year and loved it. This year it is evident that house needs some TLC, such as grout broken in shower, dusty ceiling fans and bathroom vents, and roaches in the kitchen cabinets. Please put out some bait and remedy this problem.

We loved that the kitchen, with a large table and island, made for a great space for our chats and games with our daughter, two grandkids, brother and sister-in-law. The crow’s nest outdoor space was a relaxing space to kick back. The walk to the beach was great—there was work nearly completed on replacing the boardwalk, so a nice walk down. The community pools and terraced sitting area was great for the grandkids, with one of the two pools heated.
The house had a classic beach house feel, comfy and inviting. It could use some minor updates, though nothing that caused disappointment.
The beach was beautiful. The house is a five to ten minute drive from good restaurants and vacation shops. We had just three full days so went to the lighthouse and the grands loved Neptune’s Park. We’ll likely return and would rent this house again.

Home was very clean and accommodating. Perfect for two families. Thank goodness for the elevator as the amount of stairs can be overwhelming for older people. Lots of local restaurants with great food. Overall we enjoyed our 1st visit to St.Simons Island and would definitely make a return trip.

As advertised. Clean and spacious. Had our church staff retreat there and open areas and multiple bedrooms and options were perfect fit. Great location to the beach for breaks. Will be back in this little corner of St Simons in the future!

I called on Sat when we realized that one of the toilets was constantly running. I was told it would be handled. It wasn’t, so I called Sunday morning about it has received no reply. I also reported on Monday.

Great, beautiful location, but found that mattress pad revealed old stains after stripping bed as host requested. Intense cleaning needed throughout. Floors needed deep mopping, we don’t wear our shoes inside and our socks were filthy. Furniture throughout also needed cleaning. Pictures can be deceiving. Beautiful location!
Management not willing to reimburse cleaning fee due to my reporting of issues upon day of leaving.
Lesson learned: read other reviewer comments.

We love the spaciousness of this house! House was very clean upon arrival. Having 3 king beds is a huge bonus when traveling with other couples. There are also so many spacious porches from which you can enjoy the sunset views. We appreciated having a brand new refrigerator and washer & dryer in the house too! Finally, being able to use the elevator to get suitcases up to the top floor is very helpful!

We were completely impressed with this home. We came to SSI for a family vacation after my son's college graduation. We walked in and it was HUGE! And so clean (which is important to me). Everything about this house was pleasant; the high ceilings, the checkerboard table off the living room, tbe little sitting room downstairs, all of the different patios. We will definitely be back for another visit!

We had an absolutely wonderful time in this amazing VROB. Plenty of room for the entire family. Having bedrooms on different floors with everyone having a private bath was such a bonus.
My favorite part was the big kitchen table. Having all our meals with my entire family was priceless. Best Mother’s Day ever!

We loved this house. We had two families of 5 staying for a total of 10 people. Ranging from 2 to 50. The house is very large with modern amenities and clean (we have high standards for cleanliness. The pool is nice and we had a great time meeting other families from the community. It is an extremely short walk to the beach and the beach is nice. You also don’t have to cross any busy streets which is important if you have little kids. We would stay here again.

Pros: We had a great time. The house is located very close to the beach and is a super property.
Cons: The ice maker in the fridge did not work, and they could use some extra blankets for the beds.

Wonderful location!
We had a wonderful experience staying here! Only a few comments I would make:
1. Beds and pillows need to be updated, all mattress were hard as a rock and pillows barely held your head.
2. Please provide more cleaning supplies (I.e. dust buster, dust pan etc).
3. Need large pot for low country boil cooking which most people do while at the beach.
Again, thank you for a fun filled stay and we hope to come again!!!

Wonderful location!
Beautiful house close to the beach, pool, and only a short walk from multiple restaurants and attractions. This rental is very spacious but could use a little TLC/updates.
I did have a conversation with the property rental company (Vacasa, who I guess rents this property through VRBO) that insisted only two parking passes would be offered and that only two cars would be able to fit parked in front of the rental. However, when I arrived the customer service rep had left three parking passes and three cars can fit in front of this house very comfortably. So I was a tad confused by that.
Some of the sheets, while I'm sure they had been cleaned, had some stains on them and the couches on the 2nd floor did as well. As a previous renter said, at night there was a bit of a bug problem, mainly on the 2nd floor where the kitchen is and some reported seeing bugs on the 1st floor as well. The toilet paper roll holder in the half bath is still broken, as indicated by a previous renter. The door that leads to the rooftop deck has trouble latching and either needs to be pushed closed or slammed.
Overall the house is beautiful. Lots of space, multiple patios to enjoy, and a great view from the top deck on the roof. The keypad entry made coming and going very easy. I would recommend and would consider staying here again.

Very spacious house. Elevator was nice for the main floor (kitchen/living room) and the Master BR on the top floor. Location is really good. 2-3 minute walk to the pool, 7-10 to the beach. For groups that have 3 adult couples it's really nice they have 3 King sized beds.
The house could use a little TLC/updates/amenities. We noticed insects mostly at night in one of the bedrooms and in the kitchen area. For a house that size and the number of guests it accommodates, the small hotel size coffee pots made making coffee difficult for 7 adults. Toilet paper holder in the half bath was broken. The code listed for entry to the pool area in the instructions and on the refrigerator did not work. Luckily the couple across the way gave us their code and it worked. Nice having so many balconies, but sitting on wrought iron furniture was not very comfortable. Cushions would be a nice addition. An umbrella on the table for the front balcony would have been nice to have as well.
The World War 2 museum is one block over from the house and is a great visit. Driftwood beach over at Jekyll Island is amazing. Bring your camera!

Family holiday
As a whole, we were very pleased with Glynn Cottage. The location was convenient to restaurants with easy access to beach and pool. The sofa coverings in the major living area were soiled and in need of refurbishment. The tv in that area had no cable connection. Would we return? Yes
