Enjoy your time in Newport while staying in our updated Victorian home, within walking distance of many of Newport's attractions.
The ground floor has 12' ceilings, a large living room with French doors leading out to the garden, a den with flat-screen tv, formal dining room that seats 10-12, and a fabulous eat-in kitchen with 4 bar stools and a table for 6 in a very sunny nook, with access to the garden. Mud room and pantry.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with double sinks and a shower and a walk in closet. The twin room (with trundle beds) has an en-suite with double sinks and a shower / tub combination. The 3rd (Queen) bedroom has a large connecting dressing room that could serve as a 4th bedroom for a baby or kids on an inflatable mattress. This Queen bedroom plus dressing room has an en-suite with shower and sink.
The 3rd floor has 3 more bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, and 2 twins) and 2 full baths. There is also a casual game room on this floor. Steps lead up from the 3rd floor to the turret, which has views of the Jamestown bridge.
The ground floor and 2nd floor have been completely renovated and have central A/C. The 3rd floor has european-style window units.
Spend your days and evenings outside on the patio, where you can BBQ on our gas grill and seat 10 for dinner at the outdoor table. If you have children, they can play in the large fenced-in garden or on the swing set.
We think the location is ideal. You can easily walk to Bellevue Avenue to buy breakfast and the newspaper, play tennis at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, buy groceries, or continue down Bellevue a bit farther to visit the glorious mansions from the Gilded Age. You can walk to Easton's Beach, down to the wharf, around Historic Hill, to the Newport Art Museum, the Redwood Library, and to dozens of shops and restaurants. If you plan to visit during the summer months, there are many camps for kids nearby at St Michaels Country Day School, the Newport Art Museum, the Norman Bird Sanctuary, and many more a short drive away. Ask owner for more information.

This was a great rental for my family for Thanksgiving. The property manager and owners were very responsive to an issue with the internet not caused by their own doing and worked with me to get it up and running quickly so we could continue online classes and work from home schedules while we were there. We all highly recommend this beautiful home.

A spacious older beautiful house in the perfect neighborhood for Newport. Dining outside on the very private patio was a treat. We did a lot of cooking in the well equipped and highly functional kitchen. The on site property manager was gracious and promptly responsive.

My family and I loved this house and had an amazing time in Newport staying there. I was with my brothers, their significant others, my nieces (one and four), my parents, and a few cousins - and we had a blast. The outdoor space is fantastic - my nieces were playing on the swingset/playset, my brothers/boyfriend were playing wiffle ball, we spread out blankets under the trees and napped during the day, we used the grill for steaks and burgers and the outdoor patio for sidewalk chalk and hanging with family. There is a ton of rooms for people to sleep in, so it's perfect for a large group. I love to cook - and the kitchen was to die for...it actually ended up being the center for most of the time we spent there! It's in walking distance (10-15 min or so) of tons of stuff - the bars/restaurants down by the water on Thames, the Cliff Walk and the mansions, the beach. We didn't have to drive a lot while we were there which we enjoyed. If you're looking for a big house for a large group with plenty to do but also space to hang out at home, this is the place.

We were so fortunate to have stayed at this lovely residence in Newport for a week in October. My family of four (including 2 small children) certainly did not need this much space, but we were drawn to the location of the house, it's beauty and the playground in the yard! Everything about this house was perfect. The location was ideal - within an easy walk to shops/restaurants, the wharf and cliff walk. Every room in the house is comfortable and beautifully decorated. The master bathroom is pretty amazing! The little look out tower is an added bonus - you can see the water and the bridge to Jamestown. The yard is also great - a playground, lots of running space and a nice patio/table for eating outdoors. Jennifer was very helpful with the booking and even recommended a spa for me to enjoy a luxurious pedicure (Hotel Viking). I highly recommend this house for your stay in Newport. On a side note, do NOT miss the Corner Cafe for breakfast. The coffee is superb and the food is truly delicious!
