About this house rental

Nature and peacefulness is all around you at this beautiful home on Goose Lake. Our family has had this home for 18 years, kids are getting older so I would like to share with you our home and our love of Wisconsin. You can find enough to explore and do staying at the house or you can drive to the Dells which is only about 30 minutes away. We are located on the main part of the lake with our own pier, which will be getting a make over in the spring due to high water levels the last 2 years. We have a paddle boat, 2 stand up paddle boards 1 kayak and a fishing boat. Goose Lake is an 85 acre motorized lake but also offers the best fishing around. The lake itself is a bit weedy and in some spots mucky but you can swim if you choose at the frontage or at the public beach area. Our house is on a dead end street which makes for a private atmosphere. Take a walk around the lake, see if you can see a sand hill crane or stop and get a book at the free little library along the way. We have plenty of land for you to play horseshoes, badminton, bags, ladder ball, bocce ball, soccer, baseball, you name it we have it supplied for you or bring your own lawn games to enjoy. There is also a lower level rec room with a pool table, foos ball table, water rafts and 2nd full size fridge waiting for you to stock with a cold drinks so you don't have to run upstairs to the fridge. The lower level has patio doors to walk out to yard or view the lake while you play a game of pool. The house has 2 bedrooms one bath on main floor and 2 bedrooms one bath on the second floor. The kitchen is fully stocked to make dinners or grill out on the patio. We have plenty of board games, card games, bingo, coloring book and toys. No wi-fi or cable but 2 TV's with VCR to watch a movie that maybe you have not seen in awhile. We have regular movies and kids movie titles available. The town of Oxford is about 10 minute drive if you forgot something there is a dollar general and a liquor store. On weekends they have flea markets. There is also a laundromat and restaurant in town. Whether you are here to relax, reconnect or have some adventure you will find it all and more, we look forward to sharing our house with your family. We hope you make lots of great memories and would be honored to be a part of them. We know your dog is part of your family so we allow all well behaved dogs to vacation with you. What a fantastic piece of land on a very quiet and relaxing lake. We live on a lake as well, but slightly busier, so it was nice to not hear the noises and be more secluded. Don’t overpack going here! They have everything you need when it comes to daily supplies. Just bring paper plates, silverware, cups if you don’t want to do too many dishes ;) I may have had to reorganize a few utensil/Tupperware drawers just so I knew what I was working with, lol. The description is accurate. Remember it is a well loved “cabin” in a private location, no WiFi as stated.. cell service was best on the deck. Exactly as we expected. With an older cabin that comes some older features, but we loved the modern touches. Just the right balance. Very cozy but spacious. We had 6 people stay and a dog. We enjoyed the deck, full kitchen, gaming options, recreational water toys and being able to bring our dog along! They even have an outside leash and baby gate for the deck. It was perfect in that aspect! We played a lot of our own card games at the kitchen table. We simply picked up sticks/branches for a quick s’mores session with the fire-pit but they do have wood available to use throughout your stay, they ask you leave $20. Which is absolutely reasonable if you love to have fires. We went to the dells for one day to “be a tourist” and that was plenty for us. The wildlife shows up daily from cranes to geese, deer, hawks and even an owl. Thanks for the great few days stay!

•Deck was wonderful to sit on and eat al fresco, and read my book in a blankie while drinking coffee •Fire pit was awesome •Very comfy couch downstairs for watching movies and we had fun playing pool •City of Adams had great markets on Saturday with some fun finds and food •So many sandhill cranes! •Very comfy beds & pillows (we all had a great nap on Saturday) •Really enjoyed the Keurig coffee setup with tosani flavors!

Very clean and well kept. Wet weather made the black ants come looking for food. Lake was very weedy but girls enjoyed the snapping turtle, they named him Snappy. Previous renters must have broke the darts, but pool table and foosball was thoroughly enjoyed. A quick ride to the Dells for even more fun .Thank you for sharing your home.

Despite Mother Natures rain of fury, this cabin alotted for many fun family memories with the large supply of board games, pool, fooseball, and DvDs to watch. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking for the whole family a breeze. Last day there, we were able to enjoy the lake with the fishing row boat, paddle boat, and paddle board. Campfire was awesome with the wood provided making some great smores and roasted weinies. We never left the cabin for outside adventures as the cabin provided all the adventures we needed. A great family time.

Great place, nicely updated! Comfortable beds. Love the basement for fun and games away from sleeping babies each evening. The boats, kayak and paddle board was such a hit with our grandkids. New experiences! The lake was beautiful no matter what time of day! Quiet and peaceful location. Good place to unplug, not great cell service. We didnt mind! Just a little slow. The coffee bar was super stock along with everything thing you need to feel like home throughout the house. Overall would totally come back! Wonderful 5 days for our family. Thank you!

Spent the weekend here with family and friends in June 2024. Beautiful location, lots of shade, easy access to a small beach, and QUIET! The cabin looks small on the outside but feels huge once you are inside. Small room with bunk beds and toys for the kiddos, fun rec room in the basement, and deck overlooking an expansive backyard and the lake with geese, crane, and wildlife for days. Very much enjoyed our stay and will stay again!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We spent much of our time out on the lake using the watercraft available at the house. We spent several hours relaxing at the beach which was perfect for our younger children. The kitchen had all we needed to get our group of 10 breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Our children spent lots of time learning how to play pool in the basement although it was a bit cold. Our family had plenty of space to spread out in our own areas if needed at the end of long days but also had lots of areas that allowed us to come together. We would have loved to use the firepit had we not been rained out. This lakehouse left us with so many memories!

a 25 min. drive from the Dells. Caught a bass and really enjoyed the lake despite it being a very swallow and weedy throught the whole lake. We had many activities there. The place does need some repairs as the owners did let us know. It could use more light. Some lights need to be installed and some switches fixed. Overall we had plenty of bed space. It is good for kids and pets. It was a good price for what we all got. We all really enjoyed our stay and may consider it again for the future.

My family loved this property. It's located not far from the Dells so you can go enjoy yourself in town and come back to relax and fish or be in the yard and not encounter any of the neighbors. The beach is just a short two minute car ride from the house. Perfect place for a large family to spend time together.

Holy goose poop!! The entire backyard is covered in goose poop, there were 9 geese in the yard upon arrival, and they returned regularly during our stay. The lake is almost impossible to use any of the boats on as it is extremely weedy and full of lillypads. The pedal boat was full of icky water (very stinky). The dock is unstable with no railings, actually just 2 boards laid down on the ground at the start. The full mattresses are in need of replacement as they have a hole in them where people have lain, so if you don't lay in that hole you roll. The king size bed is actually just 2 twin mattresses pushed together. Overall, the location was good but I will not return and would not recommend.

Almost 100 relatives were in Wisconsin Dells for our Family reunion so being together was always intense. Coming back to the house was the quiet needed by everyone. The 9 year old girls fished, the littlest boys played with the cars, and the adults sat on the deck overlooking kid activities. The beds were really comfortable - no one wanted to leave! Lisa was always available and accommodating. Thanks Lisa!

We enjoyed our short stay on this property, it was in a very quiet spot. The house was beautiful, and plenty of room for our family of 6 (teens and up). The pool table & dart board got plenty of use. We didn't do any outdoor stuff as we were in the area to visit family, the lake is was pretty in the mornings when I drank my coffee!

Very nice house in a quiet setting. Enjoyed using the canoe, paddleboat and kayak. Liked watching and listening to the Sandhill Cranes. Well stocked with supplies. Communication with the owner was excellent. Some minor TLC both inside and outside but overall nice property. Would recommend.

Plenty for the 7 of us to do! We took full advantage of the water toys and toured the lake. We went for walks, played lawn games and took a Duck boat tour at the Dells. This was the most stocked rental we have stayed at and was exactly as advertised. Thank you for being a great host!

Located on a small quiet lake. Interior of house is great, mostly remodeled. Only wish we had known the fishing boat had a leak and neither paddle boat works well. All in all a great trip.

Homeaway from home was a great place for our family to have a relaxing vacation ❤️ Plenty of space for us to spread out. Lisa provides many extras. Shampoo, rinse, lotion, tissues, in the bathroom. Anything you will need in the open kitchen. The whole family enjoyed the pool and foosball tables. Any type of water craft you desire🚣‍♀️ Sandhill cranes everywhere! We will be back😁

We had a great stay. It was nice to be away from the busy of the Dells which is what brought us here. Only slight bummer was no internet. We knew there wasn’t Wifi but I didn’t realize cell reception was so poor. Made hard at times to connect with others or use our gps. That isn’t the fault of the owners but would recommend thinking about adding Wifi for that reason. Not a reason we wouldn’t want to stay tho! Place is very clean and has everything else you could need. We loved it. Thank you again!

This property has so much potential but needs a handyman desparately. The peacefulness of the lake and the neighborhood was so nice and the house was superbly furnished with housewares, toiletries, laundry products, and paper products. However, there is a long punchlist of things inside the house which need to be addressed. But most importantly, because the house was located on a area of the lake covered in lilly pad, to fish one would need to go out on a very decrepit pier or in a rowboat with a significant leak. Those 2 issues were a big detriment to us.

This cabin was perfect for our family of adults and dog to get away and relax. The cabin came equipped with so many handy things for guests to use, including a really well stocked kitchen, dog toys and dog bed, and games and toiletries. We also enjoyed seeing all the wild birds around the cabin!

We went during the off season so there wasn't much to do, but the house was beautiful and the kids stayed entertained with the pool table. We hope to go back this summer for some fishing.
