Overall my family enjoyed our stay at the Aussieland Bungalow. A great place to stay and rest.

The place is clean, beds are comfortable and the towels are good. The kitchen has all the necessary things to do simple cooking. The hosts are very helpful in that they provided good advice and also helped us to rent a car. Lamai beach is a 10 min walk from the property. Do take the transfer from the ferry pier provided by them as it is far cheaper than you get your own transfer at the pier.

Rude, unfriendly staff

Very good location. Close to the center, but is in a quiet place. It is not noisy at night. It is close to the beach.

The description does not correspond to reality. The description states that the bungalow is 50m2. This is not true. The bungalow is one room of 25-30 meters. The description states that the bungalow has "1 separate bedroom". This is not true. The bungalow consists of one room. Very poor housekeeping. The room is dirty. There is mold on the curtain in the bathroom. The water heater was broken when we arrived. It was fixed the next day. A few days later it broke again. Twice we had no water at all. We had to wait for hours for it to arrive. The owner kept apologizing for the inconvenience. The refrigerator was not working well, the freezer was freezing or defrosting, and our ice cream was constantly spoiled. The main drawback of this accommodation is the very unfriendly staff. This does not apply to the owner Jeff. He seemed quite friendly. We asked for two sheets as it was hot to cover ourselves with one warm blanket. To this we were told that "this is not a buffet for you to take whatever you want". I was very surprised at this attitude. We turned to Jeff and he gave us sheets. However, he had to be persuaded. We also asked for two face towels. And we were given two small rags. They said that their hotel does not provide towels for face and hands. The staff at the sight of us always defiantly turned his head away and never said hello. This is a very strange attitude. I have never seen such an attitude in Thailand. I would also like to point out that these houses stand on dirty water into which the water from the bungalows drains. On the water you can see grease stains sometimes floating garbage. It is not beautiful at all.

Top locatie met fijn huisje

Alles was dichtbij, super fijn en ruim huisje, eigenaren waren erg behulpzaam en doordat het zo kleinschalig is een fijne en relaxte sfeer

Séjour reposant et vivifiant!

Endroit très calme et très bien situé! Le personnel ainsi que les propriétaires sont très aimable!

Très mitigé

Le logement est plutôt sympa. Hors mis une salle de bain très très petite et des fourmis en groupe qui viennent dans la cuisine. La terrasse extérieur était en partie inondé… la tv est grande avec netflix.

Beaucoup de choses. Très mauvais accueil, même pas souriant. Pas de café dans les logements où disponible au bar … la piscine est minuscule. Les propriétaires ne nous ont jamais adressé la parole ou un sourire… Enfin nous nous attendions à être proche de la plage, annonce qui déclare 300 m. Ce qui est mensonger. Pour se rendre à la plage il y a 800 m de marche. En soit ce n est pas dérangeant quand vous pouvez marcher mais avec un handicap aux jambes c’est très frustrant ! Du fait de la situation, nous avons écourté notre séjour pour aller ailleurs. Je ne recommande pas.

Great place, 5 minutes walk from main area and under 10 minutes to the beach. Bungalow (family) nice big and kitchen has all basic utilities. Bedrooms are nice big and living space comfortabel. Staff is great and mr. Jeff great guy. Next trip sure will book same place again. Thanks for the wonderfull time.

Handy stay for families.

Having 3 bedrooms was great and Netflix was a bonus. Liked that it was down a quiet road.

Wear and tear that is in need of repair eg bathroom door, bedside table, ceiling in one of the bedrooms and sofa in need of a good clean or a throw.

Superb

6 minutes walk to beach. 1 to 15 minute walk to hundreds of bars, restaurants and food stands. Still a really quiet location. Nice little onsite bar with very cold beer. . The 3 bedroom family bungalow was perfect for our family of 6 and outstanding value for money.. Had all we needed for 3 night stay. Air con good. Mo arranged us a large taxi for 6 to pier at reasonable value. Highly recommended overall.

Plunge pool could have been made to look a tad more inviting as we didn't use. Netflix wouldn't work.

Beautiful, great location, amazing hosts

The bungalows are absolutely beautiful! They all have an outdoor area with furniture to sit on which is a lovely touch! There is Netflix on the TV and a comfy sofa for a cosy night in! The location is really good! A short walk from all the restaurants and nightlife but the bungalows are all secluded from the noise which we really loved! Our host was also super friendly and got us settled in so easily! He booked us a taxi to the airport and allowed a later check out at no extra fee! Just a lovely place to stay and would recommend very highly!

We loved everything! After travelling for nearly 6 months, having our own mini home was just perfect. In our apartment we had a bedroom with sofa and Smart TV (Netflix, YouTube or streaming from your phone) kitchen (two hobs, kettle, microwave and toaster). We also had a full size fridge, plus freezer, which was a first and meant we could do a decent shop at Lotus and stock up on items. The rooms were very clean and we were given a very good supply of toilet roll (many a place expects a couple to survive on half a roll for a week :) ) The pool area is great and there's lots of sunloungers available. It's described as a plunge pool but it's actually a lot bigger than we thought and was a great refreshing way to end the day. There's also a bar area with beers at a really good price, plus other spirits and soft drinks. It is also a sports bar, so if there is a certain game or match you want to watch, that can be arranged for you. It's in a brilliant location, about 3 minutes walk to all the restaurants, bars and a 7 eleven, and maybe 6 or 7 minutes walk to the beach. At the end of the road there's some scooter rentals for exploring the island further, we just chose to do this on a day by day basis, as sometimes we just wanted to spend the day at Lamai beach! Jeff and Moo were fantastic hosts and we really enjoyed having a chat and getting to know them! Thanks for a wonderful stay :)

Perfect stay in Samui

Ideally well located, Aussieland Bungalow is far enough from the center in order to be quite (5mn by walk) and close enough in order to be quickly in the nightlife and for the restaurants. The beach is 10mn by walk and the way to reach it is very easy. With a car or a motorbike, the 4 x lane for visiting the island is only at 300m The bungalow is well fitted (with a connected TV for those who want to watch it), a big fridge with a large freezer and a small terrasse to take the aperitive. Inside 1 air conditioner and 2 fans are enough to maintain a good temperature if needed. A swimming pool is located at the entrance of the site. I would like to point out that the site (https://www.aussielandsamui.com/) reflects the reality. The owner Jeff and his wife are very friendly and very helpfull, should you have any issue, they are always present in order to help you. For all these topics and many others not noted, I would strongly recommend this area for your holidays in Samui.

For the price, I'm not sure you'd get much better! Really comfortable little apartment, with a comfy couch, super shower and a really chilled out pool area, with the comfiest sun loungers. Nice little kitchen area too, which comes in handy. Added bonus of table tennis and darts and really friendly people who run the place. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

A few hooks in the bathroom would be super. A bit of wear and tear, so not as brand new as the pictures look, but that's to be expected. Didn't affect our stay in the slightest.

literally everything. the room was spacious and clean. also well equipped with toaster, microwave, kettle and fridge. the location was brilliant, everything within a 5 minute walk.

could do with a blind/ curtain in the bathroom as the property out the back could potentially see in.

Six weeks in Ausie Land

The location was fabulous The Bungalow was big and well equipped and bed was very comfortable, bed linen was changed every three days. Jeff and Moo were extremely friendly and helpful, and we are hoping to return next year.

A lack of hooks and towel rail and no kitchen table to eat on.

Cheap bungalow 10 minutes walk from the beach

Good value for a whole bungalow. AC worked well (in the bedrooms only). Not too far of a walk to the beach, but you should know it's about 600 meters. Right off one of the two main roads in Lamai.

No AC in the common area of the bungalow. Didn't get much help booking scooters, but that is partially due to the shortage caused by everyone selling them during COVID.
