We loved our stay in this small cosy cottage, had everything we needed and very tidy and clean and only a short stroll to town/beach
10.0
Everything inside this property has been organised with meticulous care and attention to detail. The location couldn't be better - just a 3-5 mins walk from both the harbour/town centre in one direction and Brixham's most popular beach (complete with shop and bar) in the other. Mel gives super clear instructions on how to do loading/unloading/parking, so we found all this very easy to manage.
The property is quite small, but anyone who knows Brixham will know that this is to be expected in the tight, winding streets that give the place it's charm, so this isn't really a fault - just something to be aware of.

The cottage was very quaint. Well equipped kitchen if you wanted to stay in and cook. The shower was lovely and powerful.
I was worried about it being so close to the road but the walls are so thick we didn't hear any traffic at night.
Would highly recommend this property.
The stairs to the bedrooms are a bit steep but this is to be expected for a cottage of this age.

Nice bed
Location not good for dogs ,got swore at for standing on the pavement ,with dog poo bag's in hand, he thought I was going to throw them in his skip

The location was excellent. Cottage big enough, grate use of space. Decor modern and clean
Traffic loud, road busy but I'm a light sleeper. No parking but some up the road, walk was fine, not far. Trouble with no hot water, heater but was sorted so much to see and do. Will visit again. Fabulous weather

location, comfortable and good facilities
not really anything we didn’t like, the bathroom was only accessible via a bedroom and second bedroom is very small and only really suitable for children but we still loved the cottage

The location of the cottage was excellent - 5 minutes' walk down to the harbour of Brixham. The cottage had everything we needed (including washing-up liquid, sponges, basic condiments, hairdryer (not used), iron, etc) and was spotlessly clean (you'd never guess it allows dogs, as no prior dog hair or smell was ever found). Being an old fisherman's cottage it's very small and a bit dark inside, although there are lots of lamps for additional light. Decor was very nicely done and quirky, and for the space the furnishings, sofa and dining table were great. The main bed was really comfortable with a choice of extra pillows. There was a cutely decorated second small bedroom with bunk beds for the kids but which we used as a dressing room (and the dog chose as her own!). The cottage is found behind a gate that serves a few other cottages sharing a courtyard and there were 2 sets of tables and chair with our cottage, although we weren't around much to ever use them. We had very good instructions from the owner about unloading our car at the cottage then parking up a short distance away; accessing the key via the lock box was also easy to do. Helpful info sheet was found inside the cottage with WiFi code, how everything worked and also dining recommendations.
Not much to complain about but we were surprised to find there was no freezer, only a fridge, so our G&Ts were never made since there was no ice (however the fridge was nicely chilled). The shower head seemed a bit too large for the shower size and we had to get the hang of enduring a quick cold splash before getting the hot water to come out; water also pooled in the bottom of the shower to a level that seemed would overflow, but never did and in fact drained away quickly once the shower was turned off. The cottage is on a relatively busy road so you do hear traffic from early on but it didn't disturb out sleep. The stairs had to be taken with care, being narrow, and the main bedroom floor's slant was fun first thing when getting out of bed in the mornings :-) I thought the cottage was supposed to be non-smoking but I could definitely detect a whiff of stale smoke in the bunk bed room each day, although I'm quite sensitive to cigarette smoke (hate it) - perhaps from a recent occupier.

A great location to enjoy Brixham, the photos on the website didn’t do the property justice.
No majors but there was no freezer compartment in the top of the fridge.

it was a very clean, cosy little cottage right in the centre of Brixham. It had everything we need and more. coffee, tea, fridge, washing machine, and beautifully decorated
It was a little small for 4, especially with a tall 13 year old

Great location, tucked away in a quiet spot but only a few minutes walk to the harbour. The cottage was well equipped, great use of space and there were lots of little extra touches which we appreciated as we stayed for a week. We took our 2 miniature dachshunds and it was an excellent dog friendly place to stay. Even the local neighbours who share the little courtyard area gave us tips on where to visit!
We didn't meet our host as cottage is managed remotely but Mel was very helpful, gave us good directions and check in information and responded quickly to messages. Like many older properties in Brixham, parking is a short walk away in side streets but it is easy to pull up outside to unload the car. Can't recommend highly enough.
Nothing to dislike, we loved the cottage!

Cottage is well presented, everything you need, location is brilliant, 5 minute walk or less to harbour. Town has a great selection of bars and restaurants. The owner was lovely even though we didn't meet gave me some hints as to where to visit.
All good thanks.

Loved the design and decor, brilliant and resourceful use of space. It feels lived in, in the way it works.
Brilliant location near town and beaches.
Our host was a great communicator and did all she could to help make our stay work out.
Well kitted out in the kitchen.
Comfortable beds and warm.
Good idea to have huge container of hand gel during pandemic.
Liked the outdoor seating, felt a bit more part of the community, with a chance to meet other friendly folk.
Sound doesn't easily travel through terrace walls, we were concerned that might be an issue (with our children's clatter and chatter) but wasn't.
Could be provision for (or clearer advice on) recycling - for most people who want to do the right thing.
As in any old port town, parking awkward but loading and unloading no problem for us, and a shortish stroll to quiet on street parking.

Location, well equipped,
Road noise, uncomfortable mattresses, how dark the living room was , living space very cramped and too much furniture and cushions everywhere . Parking was a problem.
