About this apartment rental

The Love Shack will accommodate two adults comfortably. We have one queen size bed which is a memory foam mattress with a heated mattress pad and a small futon couch. This is a remodeled studio with free WiFi, SmartTV, Alexa device, device charging station, Netflix, Pandora, YouTubeTV, Bluetooth speaker, K-Cup coffee maker, iron, luggage racks, ample closet, AC and Heater, ceiling fan, 2 TV trays, a designated workspace, and a beautiful covered patio with a propane gas outdoor fireplace, as well as a lookout from the top of our property. The owners live on this gated property and are nearby in case of any needs. If you are planning on attending the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, we are only minutes away and have a great location for all the fiesta fun. We are also only a short drive away from the Intel Park and Ride for the fiesta and it is strongly recommended if you will be attending ANY of the fiesta events. If you want to take a break from the fiesta crowds, feel free to have coffee at The Love Shack Lookout. This uncovered lookout is at the top of our property, just a little hike up the sandy hill. But, it has a great view of the balloon park and fireworks. This is also the perfect place to relax and unwind in the peace of the country with the city just minutes away. Also enjoy our rural horse friendly village by shopping, having an espresso, fine dining, microbreweries, wineries, playing pool, pumpkin patching, public swimming pool, skate park, and farmer's market. Corrales also has a self guided walking tour, a grower's market, and the historic Old San Ysidro Church. Feed our quail then shop at the nearby Cottonwood Mall. Santa Fe is 50 minutes away. We are a veteran owned home with friendly and flexible scheduling. We booked the Love Shack for a mother daughter trip to the Balloon Fiesta. The Love Shack was beyond our expectations. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Listening to the birds, morning desert air, warmth from the fire pit and hot coffee started the mornings. Kiera and her husband were gracious hosts. But I will never forget watching the Dawn Patrol from the advantage point of their driveway with the mountain as a back drop. Thank you for the great memories.

Kiera and Rick were warm and welcoming and the casita was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities. The space was inviting and utilitarian as we were able to cook our own meals and relax on the patio as we soaked in the views. Would highly recommend to travelers who crave a beautiful space in a quiet, rural setting that is still close to shopping and entertainment.

We were very pleased with the accommodations at the Love Shack ! It looked better in real life than in the great photos so that was a big plus. Keira is very friendly and had great communication with us although we didn’t get a chance to meet in person. We loved walking into the place with a beautiful bottle of wine and delicious cookies plus the soothing music on the TV. A great way to end our first trip up and down the state of New Mexico. Highly recommend. A+

You couldn't ask for a better host and hostess. Rick and Keira were friendly,kind and always wanting to please. We loved this couple. They thought of everything. The Love Shack is decorated and equipped with all you will need. We walked in to the fragrance of lavender and the sound of soft music playing on the t.v. The cookies were an added treat. The Love Shack is so cozy and lovely. There is even a cute porch with a fireplace. It is just a couple miles from downtown Corrales. You sit high at the end of a street with to die for views! You don't even need to fight the traffic for the Balloon Festival. We sat at the top of the hill and saw everything saving us time and money. Rick and Keira are happy to answer any questions you have about the area as far as places to eat or see. They also give you your privacy. While we were there we went on a day drive up to Taos to drive the 85 mile Enchanted Trail Loop. The mountains were so beautiful during the changing of the leaves. The location is perfect for a home base. The queen size bed is a memory foam mattress. We will be coming back again for sure to see more of New Mexico and all she has to offer. The Love Shack is very relaxing being located in a rural area just a couple miles from the all the traffic and noise. Thank You Rick and Keira for sharing your paradise with us. Kris and I are so happy to have the pleasure of staying and meeting you and your lovely babies. You made our stay so special.

Absolutely PERFECT in every way...... From having the Spa music channel on the tv and heavenly scents in the air, it was an excellent way to be welcomed...... Unbelievably quiet and off the beaten path, but yet just a few minutes from all of the city amenities..... Owners Keira and Rick were off the charts AWESOME!!!!!!!! Truly friendly, down to earth folks..... Really enjoyed my time not only with them but the LOVE SHACK was very, very clean and had everything that could be wanted or needed in this wonderful space...... Mike C.

My wife and I really enjoyed the Love Shack! It was clean and tidy when we arrived and had all the necessary items to make us comfortable. The location is far away from the highways so that made for quiet time day or night. It is close enough to downtown ABQ but far enough away from the bright city lights. Would go back again and recommend it to my friends and family. The Hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

The studio is very clean and has been upgraded. We celebrated our anniversary and had a great stay. The owner welcomed us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary and some warm cookies. The fireplace on the patio was great. We were hoping to have views of the city from the patio, but it was still nice to sit out there. We'd definitely stay here again.

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with a stay at the "Love Shack". We were amazed by the peace, quiet, and beauty in this little gem, especially since we were less than 5 minutes away from dining, movie theaters, and a great deal of shopping options. The studio was perfect for two people, well appointed, tastefully decorated, and very clean! Keira provided great dining recommendations, although we only had time to try her breakfast recommendation, we hope to try the others on our next trip to the area. We will definitely be back, as our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

This sweet studio was perfect in every way; from comfy bed, to water in the frig, to plenty of towels, pretty decor, lovely yard and great referrals from Keira for things to do and wonderful places to eat (check out Indigo Crow for great eats) - all of that and more made it a tremendous value.

Comfortable bed, pillows, the shower had great hot water. We were visiting family in town, so only ate breakfasts at the casita, but it was fully equipped and able to handle other meals as well including a three-burner flat stove top. Plenty of extra towels as well as nice coffee pod variety to choose from (much appreciated by this Seattle girl). AC kept it comfortable. We enjoyed coming in at night seeing the bunnies in the yard as others reviewers have mentioned, and the patio is very pleasant with a nice view of the Sandias. Being up at the end of a road and separate from the main house, we didn't feel like we were bothering anyone, nor did they us. Wifi was fast and TV channels were many! We also recommend meeting the family dogs. They're quite the personality plus :0) If we're able to return while family's still in Albuquerque, we'll try for this casita again for location, friendliness, amenities and price.

My husband and I were visiting family in Rio Rancho and this cute and private property took care of all our needs. We love the Village of Corrales so it was nice to drive by vineyards and horse properties near so many beautiful homes and still be so close to Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. Can't beat the convenient location. Our suite included a private entrance to a studio that was in the same building as the detached garage making us completely separate from the owner's home, which allowed extra privacy. Our room was clean and included a kitchenette with a mini fridge, stove top, and Keurig coffee maker along with kitchen utensils. I loved the spacious walk-in shower and seeing all the cute rabbits in the courtyard in the morning while we drank our coffee. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I spent 5 days in Albuquerque, exploring the city and traveling up to Santa Fe and Taos, and the Love Shack was a perfect jumping off point for our adventures. It is very conveniently located: close to shopping, close to Santa Fe, close to everything we wanted to do. As an added bonus, it's in a beautiful rural area full of animals, mature trees, canals, and the charming Village of Corrales. The studio itself was delightful: whimsically-decorated, clean, comfortable, and outfitted with everything we needed. I especially appreciated the mattress heater! Rick and Keira were the most gracious of hosts, leaving us treats (cookies and popcorn), giving us restaurant recommendations, taking the time to chat, and making sure we were completely comfortable in our accommodations. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at the Love Shack!

The Love Shack is absolutely adorable!!! Welcomed us with a bottle of wine, nuts and snacks. Very clean, fully stocked with anything you might need. Kureig with a variety of choices for our morning coffee to enjoy the beautiful mountain morning view! I loved this place! I will definitely be back!! I'd love to buy the entire property !!!!

My husband and I spent two nights at the Love Shack and enjoyed its convenience and clever use of space. The hosts were fun to talk to and had provided many extras such a very good coffee, champagne, oatmeal, and water as well as information about the area. We would definitely recommend this site.
