Casa Kahuna is a luxurious modern home set back in a private neighborhood of Puntas in Rincon. It is conveniently located off Rincon's Route 413 "Road to Happiness" and has unobstructed views through the valley to the Caribbean Sea. This property was formerly owned by Kahuna and his wife Mama Kahuna. Back in the sixties, when the pioneers of surfing began to visit the island, Kahuna provided the first guesthouse on the west coast. It is just minutes from World Class Surfing Breaks, Magnificent Beaches, Amazing Restaurants, and Spectacular Snorkeling, with one of the worlds largest forest of Elk Horn coral, and yet it is secluded enough to provide peace and tranquility. The house was designed by cutting-edge New York architects, Big Prototype, with wall to wall glass windows, expansive terraces and louver window ventilation, which allows the North East Tradewinds to keep the house cool and comfortable throughout the year. Air conditioning is provided in all the bedrooms. Relax in the private pool while taking in the view of the Caribbean ocean. Get a workout in, in the privacy of your own house. Casa Kahuna boasts it's very own fitness studio, with a rowing machine, pull up bar, olympic bar with weights, kettle bells, wall balls, plyo boxes, jump ropes etc. The house has a back up generator and 700 gallon water cisterns in the event there is a disruption of service. Many other features include Sonos speakers throughout the house, recycled glass slabs, as wall panels, which glow in sunlight, murals and decorative concrete blocks that create scales of textures to create a tropical experience. You may never want to leave the property!!

Great place that is 5-10 minutes from downtown Rincon and all the nearby famous beaches, bars and restaurants. Great view from the porches and pool area. Private with all the amenities you would want. One word of caution: the house is set into a hillside, so if you have anyone in your group that has mobility issues beware that there a lot of steps to get from the driveway into the house and then also to the upper floor.

We stayed 5 days. Plenty of space for the family, the house was clean, had everything we needed and more! The family spent most of the time at the pool and pool deck, the Gym was a plus! beautiful beaches just 5 minutes away and an awesome town nearby. The owners of the house were great! We had car issues during our vacation and she assisted us finding help. THANKS!

This property has outstanding features for a vacation! The view from the porch and balcony is beautiful whether sunny or rainy. The porch furniture is the best ever! The pool is great for a dip morning or afternoon - sun warms the water most of the day. Two TV areas have ample seating and the Roku worked well for watching Netflix.
Four bedrooms and three full baths offered each of us privacy. The kitchen was well stocked. An indoor dining table plus another on the outdoor porch meant we could serve meals inside or outside.

Cons- usually cold to at best barely warm showers at all times. Had a rat come out during day while sitting at pool. Eeeek! Also, need a new coffee machine.

I was born and raised in P. R. and to be honest, it is difficult to impress me. I was impressed! Also, I am very well aware of how difficult to maintain a home in the tropics. This home was CLEAN and well maintained throughout!! The online pics don't fully capture how beautiful the home is. Very private, surrounded by lush gardens, a pool, and a wonderful view of the sea. The house was beautifully appointed with lovely accessories and decorated with nice touches throughout and very comfortable. It was definitely a luxurious home-away-from-home. We would have loved to stay longer and certainly would love to visit again in the future.

My family had a great time at Casa Kahuna and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rental in the Rincon area! The home is spacious, clean, and very well equipped. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was clean and usually pretty warm depending on the time of day. The landscaping surrounding the pool was beautiful. We lost power due to an island-wide issue during our stay, but luckily the home had a generator that kicked in immediately. One tip - make sure you have a car that can handle a steep incline as the road leading to the house as well as the driveway are on quite a slope!

The house was amazing in every way. Highly recommended for a group of 3 to 4 couples. Wish we would’ve been able to use the jacuzzi but the pool was phenomenal. I would absolutely stay here again if it’s available.

Wonderful property!
We had a wonderful time staying in this home. The house is gorgeous! We especially loved the space and comfortable seating on both porches. This home was very clean and provides many additional “small” amenities that aren’t listed. The view is even more spectacular in person then in the pictures. The owners and manager were extremely helpful in assisting us with an issue unrelated to the home itself. They went above and beyond! We can not wait to come back!

Rather than an apology, we were treated to her telling us that the area is safe and we should be fine *While we were told that quiet after dark was important in outdoor areas, the neighboring renters had music blaring well past 1:30am *Speaking of neighbors, each rental house and there are more than four, are only separated by privacy hedges that allow sound to come right in at times making it feel that the neighbors are sitting in your space. In all, the property is as stunning as the pictures and with more proactive property manager, it is 5-star.

Casa Kahuna was the perfect home to celebrate my sister's bachelorette! Spacious, clean, and in a great location to everything (as long as you have a rental car)!
Rochelle and Ali were so helpful with any questions, and gave us great restaurant locations!
The art walk downtown was really fun on Thursday and then dinner at Roots right there was excellent. English Rose for breakfast is a must.

Perfect
We stayed here in August of 2018....I meant to leave a review sooner than this! We had a wonderful, exceptional time in this beautiful home. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, perfectly located. The location is close to beaches and restaurants, but private and set apart and private. The house was light and airy and sleek without being stark, and tastefully appointed with modern, high quality furnishings. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need, and the appliances were beautiful and high quality. The pool and surrounding patios were gorgeous and spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished, and the surrounding property was pleasantly landscaped. The beds were all very comfortable. The bed linens and towels were all high quality, and the bathrooms were well stocked. The second floor porches off of the kitchen and living areas were beautiful and again, beautifully appointed with tasteful and high quality furnishings. We were a party of 8 - 6 adults and 2 toddlers. We were all very comfortable and there was plenty of space for all of us. One of the first floor bedrooms is a studio of sorts, with a kitchenette and bathroom, opening onto the patio. The other 2 first floor bedrooms shared a bathroom. The master suite was on the second floor, with its own bathroom, a large walk-in closet, and doors opening onto the second floor patio. There was a first floor living room and laundry room and the second floor contained the beautiful kitchen and another living area and patios. There was a nice, large grill. Plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles. I'm sure there is more I am forgetting to mention. Our entire experience was wonderful. Both the owners and Allison, the property manager, were very nice and very helpful. Our flight home was delayed for 2 days due to inclement weather back in NY, and the owners extended our stay and gave us a discounted rate for our extra nights. Rincon is so awesome... gorgeous beaches, local restaurants, yoga studios, surfing lessons, shops...sandy, sunny, and beautiful, with a down-to-earth vibe. We highly recommend this beautiful home and cool surf town, and hope to return one day soon!

I knew this house was going to be nice, but it was SO much more than that! It was AMAZING! The pictures just do not do it justice. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. The house is well laid out & tastefully decorated. The bedrooms and bathrooms have everything you need. The decks and (salt water) pool are great places to just relax (the view is amazing). It was the perfect getaway for my family of six. We honestly did not want to leave! Rochelle & Allison were so helpful and gave great tips on things to do/places to eat...and that guest guide book is genius! I would definitely stay here again and again! Paradise in Rincon - Simply Amazing! This property is perfect for groups of couples.
This house is absolutely amazing. We were a group of two couples who visited Feb 16th-21st. Rincon has recovered nicely since Maria and is as great as ever. Casa Kahuna was better than advertised, the pictures do not do the house justice. Allison and the owner Larry were available for any and all questions. The house is perfectly located central to everything. It has everything you need and is simply beautiful with a view of the ocean. We are already planning our trip for next year. If you are planning a visit to Rincon, this house should be at the top of your list.

This home is simply AMAZING!
Where do I even begin? This home is simply amazing and the owners have truly thought of EVERYTHING. From quality bedding, kitchenware, furniture, beach and pool chairs, workout equipment, fast wifi, laundry facilities...you name it, the house has everything you need and more. Everything looks brand new, and I love the modern atmosphere and newness of the home.
My boyfriend and I stayed downstairs in the studio during our stay and it was a perfect little hideaway. We had our own entrance, mini fridge and the big sliding doors gave us a nice breeze. All of the bedrooms have air-conditioning too, which is a great option.
While I love being a beach bum, the pool was perfect at the end the day. Jump in with a glass of wine and enjoy that view! The ocean view was another favorite, especially from the top balcony.
Last, the location of the home is great! It's on a quiet street (only a few homes on the dead end street), but still close to the highway, Rincon Plaza, beaches and loads of restaurants. You can still walk to a few places, but you do want a car when you rent this house.
If you are looking for an incredible home for your vacation, this is it. We will be back!

Bach Bash!
From start to finish, a getaway with my girls to Rincon for my bachelorette party was unforgettable! Rochelle was beyond accommodating- she ensured the house was equipped with everything we might need- from coolers, to glassware, to champagne! She even suggested a local masseuse she knew and trusted to come out to the house. The house was beautiful and absolutely immaculate! You could really tell Rochelle and her family took much pride in their home away from home. The house is close to local favorites for dining and a convenient 3 minute drive to the beach. The views were spectacular from every angle; relaxing by the pool and gazing out on the ocean and islands in the distance was dreamy. The house comfortably slept 8 and had room for more guests if desired. Washer and dryer in full working order made the transition from vacay to home a little easier too! Looking forward to returning to Rincon in the future with my soon to be hubby. Thank you Rochelle for your generosity and beautiful accommodations.
