A splendid stay in a lovely location, with plenty to explore

The location is lovely with plenty of walking around the area. The property is super, well equipped and comfortable. High standard of cleanliness. The Hot Tub was great, especially in the evening. The downstairs bedrooms made it easy for my elderly father to stay, with a wet room en suite to one of them, perfect for him. The mezzanine lounge was good for those who wanted to play games, leaving the downstairs lounge for the TV watchers. The lovely basket of shortbread & welsh cakes, homemade, were a delightful welcoming touch.

The beds all made loud noises, even when just sitting on them. I am a light sleeper and I literally woke up when I turned over, which made for unwelcome nights of little sleep. The downstairs main bathroom has a mould and damp problem above the bath/shower area which made the whole area smell unpleasant. It may be a leak from the upstairs en suite? A central coffee table would be good for the downstairs lounge. There was not enough areas for 7 people to put mugs or glasses down, except on the floor; never a good idea. The sofas could be moved forward to accommodate the bench seats for the dining table; there as little room to move around in the kitchen once everyone was seated.

Friendly hosts, great & clean accommodation & good hot tub

Friendly hosts, great accommodation with high standard of cleanliness & soft towels. Hot tub great size and much enjoyed.

The oven and hob were not straightforward for us to use, given the induction hob, but we managed to cook dinner for 8 people successfully 2 of the 3 evenings of our stay. Host said an instruction manual was available but we were unable to find it.

Spotlessly clean, ample space for all of our 3 generations and loads to keep children occupied. Hot tub was a great hit with us and we all enjoyed a lovely evening family bbq where the kids loved roasting marshmallows. Definately recommended 10/10

Lovely area. Lovely cottage

Cottage was lovely. Location was in a lovely part of kidwelly. Had a lovely beach and family park 25 minutes away. Well worth the drive.

Lack of privacy. Owners lived next door felt a bit intrusive. BBQ was not explained in the details of the property. Was advertised has BBQ fertility available which we believed to be at the property.. when we got there we was told if we want a BBQ we could buy one from them at additional cost. Which was not advertised. Building work being done to the outside children's play area. Scaffolding and lots of rubble and dust. Not kid friendly.

Perfect place for a family celebration!

We had such a perfect weekend at Kidwelly Cottages self catering house for my Mum’s 60th birthday. The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond even taking the children to feed the chickens which they loved. The house has everything you could need, spacious with en suites for each bedroom and gorgeous mezzanines in the living space and master bedroom. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the whole place is very clean. The hot tub was a real bonus, even through the weather was poor it was lovely to be able to relax outside in the warmth of the pool. The kids also loved having a little play area just outside the house and we made use of the brand new barbecue. We wished we could stay for longer!

Amazing stay. Best of the countryside and easy reach of sandy beaches.

We had a lovely 4 night stay in Y Felin cottage. It was even better than we had imagined. It was so peaceful and just what we needed. Hosts Peter and Ann were friendly and helpful, suggesting places of interest. It was a nice welcome to find welsh cakes, toffee waffles, fresh eggs and tea and coffee on arrival. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could need for cooking and cleaning. Lovely quality towels and shower gel and hand-wash provided in all the bathrooms. We enjoyed the magnificent panoramic views, being in the countryside on a working farm, seeing the animals and also the sea views. We visited Tenby twice during our stay and also Pembrey Country Park which was surprisingly close by with an amazing long stretch of sandy beach. Our children loved climbing the sand dunes. We visited Carmarthen too, Saundersfoot and Kilgetty Castle which is on the doorstep. You feel in you are in the middle of the glorious welsh countryside but also very well connected to local conveniences and beaches at the same time. I loved the lane leading to the cottage with beautiful daffodils on both sides. The cottage was spotlessly clean and the hot tub was a luxury that we really enjoyed. The children loved the play area, the massive trampoline and the play pig and chicken houses with the toy kitchen. They loved the ride on toys too and interacting with the farm animals next door. The barn conversion has been done to such a high standard. We were really impressed. We can't find any faults and will definitely return and recommend to family and friends. It was so lovely we didn't want to leave! Thank you for having us!

Family get together after months of lockdown

We loved the positioning of the property, sea views, peace and tranquility....but only 20 minutes from nearest town. Very good use as a base to travel to other areas
