Beautiful cottage, everything was just perfect. Lovely touch by the host to leave provisions for our arrival.
Nothing not to like

It was very spacious and very clean and very quiet area. Perfect for relaxing.
The double bed was a little uncomfortable and sunk in the middle but didn’t ruin our stay.

internet was a bit hit and miss

The cottage was lovely
Made very homely and made us feel very comfortable.
The countryside was very nice.
And interesting.
Especially the old church and graveyard.
The pub not being open near us.
Had too cook in cottage

Lovely cottage, large lounge and kitchen /diner, good size double bedrooms, large childrens room/playroom. Having toys already there for children to play with was a bonus. Host was very attentived. Lovely area of countryside if you like staying rural. Large morrisons supermarket etc within 10 mins drive
Fry pan was not the best for pancakes but we should have brought one as it was Pancake day when we were there. Back bed is overlooking a farmyard, as it was Feb the animals were all in the barn. One of our party did not like the smell in open bedroom window first thing in the morning. The other three adults and children did not notice it much.

The house was as described, cozy, warm and clean. We found lot's to do in the local area. Especially recommended the botanic gardens and a visit to tenby

Beautiful cottage, amazing play room for younger children. Situated in a lovely village and next door to a farm (we could not smell anything like others have reported) Lots to do for families close by. We had a lovely holiday 😀

Lovely location, the place was beautiful, clean and tidy and spacious.
It wasn’t a huge bother but it’s directly next to a farm or dairy and there is a very strong smell of manure most of the time. Just farm smells really, but it is strong and ever present.
We really didn’t mind but if for someone sensitive (ie pregnant) it could be difficult to handle so worth a mention.

The cottage is a lovely size for six people. Big bedrooms and a comfy lounge and well equipped kitchen. A lovely quiet village with pub. Easy access to the surrounding area - which is beautiful!!
The cottage is next to a cow farm, this meant it was very smelly! Unfortunately made the back garden unusable - I knew this from previous reviews so not a surprise, but I think it should be made clear on the listing.
The beds were very soft - new mattresses would make a massive difference to the comfort of the stay.

The host was there to open the key box and hand over the keys on arrival. When we tried to open the key box on leaving, we weren't able to get in open and delivered the keys next door back to the host. There was no internet coverage at the property and we were unable to use our devices until we left the property each day.
The host told me on arrival that she had emailed that morning to say we could have arrived earlier than originally stated and I explained that I did not have access to my email as I didn't have my computer with me. However, when I arrived back home, I had received further emails with instructions for leaving the property (due to Covid restrictions). Therefore, we did not receive these requests. On arrival, we noticed a major water leak into the lounge through the ceiling (from the upstairs bathroom). We pointed this out to the hosts and managed to contain the leak ourselves, by not using the hot water tap in the bathroom and leaving a receptacle under the sink to catch the water. We were right next to cow sheds, which smelled strongly at certain times of day. I don't think we would book again, although the area was very quiet and peaceful & we enjoyed our break otherwise.

Location nice, great pub
Quite a strong smell of cows in the back of the property so we were not too keen to sit out in the evening

Liked the village, furniture and decor in the cottage. A very affordable stay. Beds comfortable and good size rooms. Had all we needed including a stair gate for the dogs
WiFi wasn’t good

Facilities were very good and a lovely spot. The cottage is well appointed with everything we needed available. The welcome pack containing shortbread biscuits was great. The area is quiet and there are lovely walks nearby and we could access many points of interest in the area within a short drive.
Availability of internet was problematic - had to have quite a few goes before getting a connection. This was a bit frustrating. Proximity to the cattle shed gave off 'country aromas' that made sitting in the garden not as pleasant as it otherwise would be.

The property was exactly as described. It is homely and has all the equipment required should you wish to prepare home cooked food, a Sunday roast for all the family was no problem. The host who lives next door was very welcoming and helpful. A very relaxing week in a cottage situated in the central area of Carmarthen Bay.
The property met all expectations.

The sitting room is stunning. Good idea to have removed the wood-burner
The beds are a good size but we found them to be too soft for us. They are coil spring mattresses and pocket sprung would be much more comfortable.

The Property was easy to find and the hosts kept us upto
date with the check in leaving the keys available for us.
It was very clean and spacious .Beds were very comfortable and it was nicely heated.A great property to relax in.
The kitchen tap needed a bit of attention .You had to turn quite hard to stop it dripping The bathroom hot water tap also need a bit of attention .
There also seemed to be (maybe birds) in the loft which seemed to scurry about while we were in bed .

Nice quiet cottage in small village but could get to places easily. Roomy and comfortable, had everything you would need.
Unfortunately it was a bit too quiet for us

Lovely property in quiet village, very comfortable spacious beautiful lounge with pretty electric fireplace, thank you Avril for your hospitality!
Co op nearby in Kidwelly, beautiful quiet beaches nearby, lovely peaceful views. We explored Carmarthen, Tenby and nearby by car and train.
4.5
Spacious! Lovely big lounge. Nicely and tastefully decorated. Very efficient heating and hot water. Dog friendly. Welcoming and homely.
There wasn't anything we disliked. There are perhaps areas where improvements could be made, but that's all in my opinion.
