The cabins were adequate for our large family reunion. The common area in the basement with the snack kitchen worked well for our evening get togethers. The 2 kitchens were a challenge for meal preps and there is a lot of stairs between the two cabins. The lack of a/c combined with unusual summer temperatures made bedtimes a bit challenging. We also found the wi-fi speed not sufficient for online classes and work meetings that some of the family needed. The nearby highway is a bit noisy and busy at times. But we enjoyed many hikes and outdoors activities that were close by. Overall it was a great week and the quick response from our host when any issues arose was very helpful.

I give my family a getaway each year for Christmas and this property did not disappoint. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. The host was amazing!

We had such a great time at this large cabin ! We had 26 people....3 generations ages 1-70.
There was plenty of room with different areas for people to gather. There was a lot of snow the weekend we stayed, but the roads were plowed regularly and this cabin is close to Brianhead Resort. It was so much fun to go sledding and play in the snow right in the backyard !
Be prepared for lots of stairs since the 2 sides of the cabin are only connected in the basement. Having 3 kitchen areas was very helpful and the basement is huge with lots of room to play. Many in our group enjoyed the indoor jacuzzi.
The downstairs bedrooms are semi-private, but that worked out fine for our group.
Debra was always very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had.
This was our family's first time going to Brian Head and we plan to come back !

We just had a family reunion over the weekend at this log cabin. Such a beautiful location. The cabin had a lot of space for our large group which was much needed. There were also separate areas for privacy when needed. Really appreciated the extra tables and chairs that could be used and the giant sectional in the basement. Check in and check out we’re both easy. Plenty of linens provided for our large group. Kids enjoyed the ping pong, foosball and pool table. Wi-Fi a bit bit spotty but we were notified in advance and it’s not very surprising given it’s bit of a remote location. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would rent the place again.
One note for those who can’t go up/down stairs is that there are a lot of stairs.

we had a great time. the cabin was in a good location and it was big enough for all of us have our own space. we really loved the big open space downstairs

We loved and didn’t like the divided cabin. It was so nice to have two sides but hard when we needed to use both kitchens to accommodate our group.

We loved our stay! Lots of room for everyone. We brought some of our own bedding for kids to spread out. Loved having so many bathrooms. The indoor hot tub was a hit. Thanks for a great stay!

This was our third time in this cabin and we loved it, we had a great time and we will come back next year :)

Our stay was awesome! We had a group of 26 people (5 families) and the cabin was perfect for our group, very spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect too - right off the main road and just couple minutes away from the Navajo slopes. The only thing that wasn’t working was the Jacuzzi but to be honest it wasn’t an issue with anyone. We would definitely return to the cabin in fact everyone was suggesting to make it an annual thing!

This was our first experience in this beautiful cabin.
It is so family friendly, warm and inviting.
Very well stocked with what you might need.
Three kitchens was a blessing. The hot tub was a big hit.
There is so much room to spread out yet be all together in a few areas.
I appreciated so much the cleanliness of the entire cabin.
The recent upgrades are beautiful.
We loved our time there and felt so comfortable.
Debra is wonderful to work with and is always there for you.
We had so much fun we have already booked it for next year.
You will have no regrets renting this beautiful cabin and working with Debra.

After two years of no large family gatherings for the holidays we organized a gathering.
Family ranged from 70s to a couple of toddlers.
The property had sufficient space for the family to gather, dine and sleep.
Proximity to ski, snowboarding and snowmobiling was very nice.

Everything was OK, except a couple of things
1.The sheets were not completely dry
2. Hot tub not working

This property has lots of indoor space and plenty of parking. The owner communicates well via email. The property is showing it’s age despite owners attempt to maintain it. To be fair, the day we were to check in the owner let us know that one Wi-Fi routers was not working and that the hot tub had been drained due to a leak and would not be able to be repaired until the serviceman could get there sometime the following week after we checked out. So our near capacity group overwhelmed the Wi-Fi which appears to be near the very end of the maximum line length for DSL and was very slow when able to use. You’re probably better off hotspotting your cell phone.
Keep in mind that this cabin is fairly remote, which is great for peace and quite and minimal interruptions by cell phones. Your cell carrier may or may not be able to provide service to your device, for our group those with T-Mobile had calling and internet service (albeit slower than normal speeds).
As recent reviewers noted there were many burnt out light bulbs. We found some spares in a kitchens and installed those into the rooms that needed them most. The furniture in the gathering spaces was new and comfortable. The owner appears to be in the process of upgrading the entertainment system in the basement as there are wall speakers and an amplifier but they were not hooked up to the current TV and DirectTv box.
The cabin has 3 separate kitchen areas each complete with a fridge, sink and microwave. Sadly one of the microwaves was missing the glass turntable rendering it useless. There’s a sufficient assortment of pots and pans, but you may have to look in each kitchen area to find what you’re looking for as they do not all contain exactly the same stuff. If by chance you turn on the hot water at a faucet and it does not get hot please try the cold water side as that faucet has been hooked up in reverse.
As we prepared to go to bed that evening many of us discovered that the sheets and bedding were damp or even still very wet from their washing. Keep in mind check in is at 4pm and we were headed to bed at 11pm. It appears the cleaning crew failed to allow adequate time for the bedding to dry in the compact dryer that’s part of a washer/dryer combo available for guest use on the premise. So we stripped 5+ beds down and put each set in the dryer for 20+ minutes. Some of us did not get to bed until well after midnight. There were more than enough bathroom linens! Open cupboards….

Could have been cleaner
The property itself was great! Many lightbulbs were burnt out and had to be replaced. The house was not very clean. It needed to be swept and vacuumed and we were disappointed in that. The host was very responsive any time I had a question and they dropped off laundry detergent that we needed at the house. We had to change the battery in the automatic door lock in order for it to work. The remote controls for the tv and DVD player needed instructions. We had to replace some batteries and use trial and error in order for them to work. We had a family reunion, and it was a great gathering area for everyone. The lack of cleanliness was the biggest complaint.

HIGH ALTITUDE ENJOYMENT
We are a large family with diverse needs. This double-sided cabin met our family reunion needs! We appreciated lots of space, comfortable beds and spots for grandkids to sleep, sufficient bathrooms, three kitchens with room for our food and meal prep, unstoppable views, access to many outdoor activities, plenty of towels and parking spots, divided areas to enjoy various indoor activities... Too many features to list here. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time together at Bristlecone Cabin!

Better than the pictures
This was a fantastic property for a large family reunion of 35 people. The online pictures make it seem dark and grungy, but that’s not the case. The basement is very roomy with nice theater seating for almost 20 people and a full kitchen. Some things we appreciated: Plenty of pillows and bedding provided, easy checkin, everything clean, extra tables and chairs to entertain large groups on the balcony, and 5 min away from Brian Head and Cedar Breaks in the other direction. The room configuration is very tricky with the shared queen rooms if you have multiple couples figuring out who gets which room, but if willing to be flexible it works out. Plenty of bathrooms. The spa room smells like mildew but the owner was great at communicating everything we needed to do to help with the smell and care for the spa room. The kitchens could be a little better stocked with knives for cutting produce. Thank you for having us!

We had an amazing time with a youth group up here. Having 3 kitchens was awesome. There are places that you can go and have privacy for a small family or adults. We loved exploring the area. Would definitely recommend for a large group.

We come to Brian Head with several families every year to ski. One thing we love about this place is the three kitchens with so much refrigerator space. We take turns as families cooking for the whole group so the three kitchens makes it a breeze. There are lots of beds although most of the bedrooms are only semi private. There is lots of parking and it is easy to get in and out. The basement odds a great teen hangout space.

This home was great, 3 kitchens. The bedrooms werent actually 8 more like 6 with and extra annex. Size of place was amazing. Lots of dust and a lot of maintenance needs to be done, stoves dirty, dusty pitdated greenry everywhere, there were mice. The jacuzzi was great but was overfilled and overflowed and soaked the floors. We did have a great time regardless and the size of the place was perfect.
4.5
This property is very well stocked with all cooking utensils you could need. There was also plenty towels, blankets and pillows. There are a lot of queen size beds which makes it great with a lot of adults. The lay out of the cabin was a little awkward with a lot of stairs. If any one in your group has a hard time with stairs this is not the cabin for you. We were able to sled right outside the cabin which was very convenient. There are a few things that need to be updated, but all in all a good place to stay.

Building is as advertised. Lots of room. Excellent for large group.

This stay exceeded all expectations! The location was perfect and the property was gorgeous! Very spacious and well kept. The communication with the owner was timely whenever I had a question. We even had a blizzard and she allowed us to stay a couple of extra hours so we could drive safely home.
4.5
We loved staying here. It was huge, had the 3 kitchens, a lot to do both in the cabin and in the surrounding areas, and plenty of spaces to relax. As is mentioned in many other reviews, the one inconvenience is that to get from one side to the other you have to either go downstairs and across and back up, or you can leave the outside entrance and go to the other outside entrance and get in. But we were prepared for that because of the reviews.
