Great location, lots of space
We had a great time, Craig was easy to communicate with and responsive with questions/concerns. There are lots of beds and lots of lake toys, being on the waterfront is amazing. My only hesitancy about coming again would be value for price -- everything is clean, adequate, and while there are lots of things that are worn and showing their age, we didn't suffer for lack of anything functional. But we ended up at this listing after another VRBO host cancelled on us at the last minute, and the price was substantially higher. At this price, I had the expectation this would be something of a luxury property, which it isn't. Furnishings/fixtures are mostly IKEA/Walmart, air hockey/foosball/ping pong are old and rickety (we gave up on using them), lots of minor maintenance issues. Again, nothing wrong with that if your goal is basic and functional.
I guess the market sets the price, and if the place stays fully booked, maybe the lesson is that my other trips to similar destinations (eg lakefront houses that sleep ~12) have just been comparatively super great deals.
In the end, it's just money. Better than having any complaint about safety, cleanliness, etc. All in all a wonderful vacation.

Family Getaway
The property was clean and well maintained with all sorts of games inside and water toys for the lake.
It was great for a family getaway but would not be a good place for a loud outdoor party. The neighbors are very close by and enjoy their quiet lakeside homes. All the neighbors I met were very nice though.
I would visit again.

Weather was like summer. Lake was cold but warming up. Lots to do. Kept kids busy

Awesome lakefront stay
We stayed in the spring so the lake was pretty quiet. We went out for a family canoe ride, fished a bit, no bites, and made a day trip to nearby Twanoh State Park. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. One of the items listed wasn't available but the owner took steps to make sure he resolved it. The properties around here are pretty narrow so you're kind of cozy with the neighbors. Great house, a ton of beds. Good for kids because there wasn't a lot of delicate stuff lying around for them to break but still some good entertainment downstairs. The majority of the beds are in the basement and you should note there is no bathroom down there. Fully stocked boathouse! Too early to swim in April (although my kids made me jump in with them...brrr!), but later in the season this place looks great for a swim.

Amazing Lake house
My family was going to be in the area for a family reunion and we all wanted to stay together so this was the perfect house to accommodate all 12 of us with plenty of room and many activities. Craig was easy to reach and acted as a real professional.

One of the best lakes in all of Washington and the location of this home is facing west so incredible sunsets and in the summer months will be soaking up the sun until it sets. The home itself is easy to find with plenty of parking (2 under carport for easy load/unload, two more easily in front of the garage). Belfair is only 15 min away for major grocery shopping and restaurants and plenty of convenience stores closer for small purchase or firewood reloads.Main floor entry has a wrap around, unobstructed view deck over looking the entire yard and dock with a propane heater, bbq, table/chairs set up. Very large level grassy yard which is hard to find on this lake (the grass was a little muddy in areas but surprisingly walkable to the fire pit without sinking in after the torrential rain storm). Owners provide a great 3 person canoe, 2-3 paddle boards, 2 kids sit-atop kayaks, 1 adult sit-atop kayak and one tandem sit-atop kayak for use. If you have your own boat or jet skis the dock easily has room for both and even a separate floating swim dock out further with a little diving board! The main floor of the house has a large open great room feel with 2 story ceilings and window walls to match for incredible views of the lake. Dining table easily seats 10. Kitchen has pretty much most of what one might need to cook. It was only four of us, but I could see maybe more dishes, bowls etc if you are a larger party or you will be doing dishes after every meal. One full bath on main level (dated compared to the rest of the home), one bedroom and the laundry (located in kitchen). Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms (master and guest) with the master having a Sleep Number mattress. One additional bath (again dated) but both rooms are generous sized and the second bedroom even had an additional twin mattress on top of the existing bed there.Lower level is the fun room! Great little ping pong table, foosball and air hockey game tables were wonderful. Theres a tv, a small sofa, little kids craft table and mini chairs if needed. Two total bedrooms with one being a huge multiple bunkbed room and the other a smaller standard room (kind of dark and this is the room the owner states is noisy if the hvac is running).Overall, really a solid layout for larger parties and probably the best location in the summer months for water sports, fishing and swimming! Craig made the rental seamless. Plan to revisit in this summer!

Wonderful Lake Home
This home was so beautiful, exactly as described and more. Craig was wonderful and all of his instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The bedrooms all had the perfect layout of sleeping arrangements for our group of 9. The kitchen was stocked with many utensils, pans, gadgets etc. There is both a Keurig and drip coffee maker. Since we were travelling with two six year-olds, my main concern was the proximity to the lake. As a previous review states, the house is set back far enough. Once we actually arrived we saw it wasn't really a concern. As with anywhere, one must always keep an eye on children. We saw a bald eagle land in our tree every day around 9:00 am. It was a highlight of our trip! Thank you Craig for offering your wonderful home. I would love to go back in the summer!

Great Place for Families
This was a great place to stay for my family. It was set up great for the kids and the grandparents too. Basement air hockey and foosball tables kept the kids entertained and the main floor bedroom/bathroom was a perfect setup for the grandparents. The host was communicative, kind, and easy to get a hold of. Looking forward to staying here again.

Great rental
We enjoyed our stay very much! House was lovely and well stocked for cooking (even had a griddle for cooking pancakes) and leisure activities. Close enough to the lake for a short walk there, yet far enough away that the little ones were safe. Great expansive deck for watching the water and kids playing in the lake. Fun game room. Plenty of space for two families.

Family Holiday Retreat
We had a great time at this lakeside home. Our family shared lots of stories, laughter, and games--good family time. The house provided a large space for our crowd and smaller locations for individual and small group time. The secluded location was an ideal place for our family to be together. Craig is a great host who responded promptly to our questions. We recommend this place highly.

Days at the Beach
. Our family had a wonderful time. One grandchild took a 'polar bear' jump into the lake. The rest of us were more sensible. The eagles put on quite a show for us each morning. Craig is an excellent communicator. Thank you for a thankful Thanksgiving.

Spring Break Family Getaway
We had a wonderful time here with our family. The house was clean, plenty of room, and in a beautiful location on the lake. There were lots of fun things to do including the game room and tons of water toys. Even though it was a little cool we still had a great time on the kayaks. My dad was able to bring his boat and had plenty of room to tie up on the dock. We look forward to returning to Mason Lake when the weather is warmer!!
Thank you, The Spezza’s

Mason Lake is a great place to enjoy summer
Our family enjoyed our stay. Craig was easy to communicate with. The house accommodated the adults and children well. We enjoyed the game room, which included air hockey, board games and tv. One of the bedrooms downstairs housed the HVAC unit and water tank. This room was quite noisy and made sleeping difficult. There are also no windows in the two bedrooms downstairs.
With young children we appreciated the alarms on all the exterior doors. This was comforting to know the children couldn’t head to the water alone and without supervision.
Craig has provided outdoor chairs & everything needed to enjoy the warm lake water. The house was clean and we recommend this property.
