Good location to lots of places.

Great location.
4.2
We stayed at the home for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much! Excellent location, only a 5 minute walk to the boardwalk. The home is 3 stories so there are a lot of stairs, but it really wasn’t too bad. There is a dumb waiter to help you bring up your bags & groceries so that was really convenient! The home was fully stocked with everything you need to make meals at home.
The master bedroom was very spacious. Some reviews have mentioned that the bed was very uncomfortable but I didn’t think it was too bad. The smaller bedroom fit our 3 kids nicely. We used the top bed & the rollaway bed underneath for our older 2 and there was enough room to put a pack and play up for our youngest to sleep in.
The only downside is that the bedrooms are underneath the main living area and if there is someone walking around upstairs you can hear every step they take lol. So bring a sound machine for younger kiddos!
Living room was spacious & the balcony was a lovely feature. It was so neat seeing the lights from the boardwalk at night and hearing the rides from the living room. The only downside there is that the WiFi didn’t work very well. We brought our chrome cast so that we could stream our own shows but we couldn’t get it to connect to the WiFi. And there is cable, but not a huge selection of channels available to watch.
The garage was a nice feature as well. They have plenty of beach toys, towels, & chairs in there to take with you to the beach. Also a washer & dryer with detergent to do a load of laundry if needed.
Of course if anyone knows Santa Cruz they know that there are a lot of transients in the area. We forgot to lock up our car one night and someone did get into it and stole a couple of items. But that was our fault for leaving it unlocked. Just want to let people know that aren’t familiar with the area that you do need to be vigilant about locking up your stuff there. But that goes for anywhere in Santa Cruz lol.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and thought that the home was perfect for us. We plan on coming back next year and staying at this home again!

Easy walk to wharf and rides. Perfect. Home clean with all you need.

This one of the cleanest homes I have stayed in. It had a great selection of cookware. The home was stocked with beach toys, beach towels, boogie boards, and 2 beach chairs. The dumbwaiter was an unbelievable asset making unpacking and packing a snap. A really easy 3 or 2 block walk to the beach which helped keep my car clean. Having a garage to keep my car in was such peace of mind and convenience. It is a really tight fit getting in but if you fold your mirrors in it’s doable even for a Toyota sienna. We all greatly enjoyed our experience and wish more vacation rentals offered this much accommodations and cleanliness.

Expedia priced this property at such an affordable price!! I will keep booking my vacations through Expedia. The property was very very clean. A very easy 2 to 3 block walk down to the beach. It had great accommodations making this whole experience good. Check in and out we’re beyond easy. I can’t wait to book again with everyone! Thank you for helping to give us an affordable and good vacation.

So close to the boardwalk, wharf and beach!
4.2
The place was absolutely adorable! It had a great view of the boardwalk and is walking distance to the beach. The showers there have amazing pressure! We loved that there were beach towels available and toys to play in the sand and make sand castles! Thank you for letting us rent your home for our first time in Cali! The only complaints and things to worry about are: The stairs are horrendous if you have bad knees (which we expected, but just as a warning to others) and the master bed isn’t comfortable at all. Way too soft! For some reason the smart tv upstairs won’t let you in Netflix but the one in the master bedroom will, so bring some games to play in the evening!
4.2
It was a lovely stay. Everything was easy and straightforward. The location is 2 blocks from the boardwalk so that is wonderful! The house is well apportioned as well. Very comfortable.
4.2
Loved that I could see the boardwalk from balcony and walking distance to boardwalk and wharf.
4.2
Pros: perfect location, beautiful property, fun town
Cons: internet connection weak, TVs hard to figure out, master mattress not soft enough (but I know how hard to it to ease everyone here)
Hard to watch little kids over three floors.
4.2
Enjoyed the stay, nice quiet neighborhood 5 minutes from the wharf. Many stairs but there is a dumbwaiter. Needs a little polishing but otherwise a gem.
4.2
The location was perfect. 2 block walk to the beach, 4 blocks to the boardwalk. Less expensive than hotels. Bathrooms were very clean. Nice view from the balcony. Kitchen amenities worked well and there was plenty of parking. Thank you so much. Would stay here again.
4.2
Nicely decorated townhouse centrally located to the boardwalk etc Lots of stairs but manageable. Good sized rooms and full kitchen. Bed in master could be replaced as not so comfortable and needs more blankets. Would stay again.
4.2
The house was perfect for a reunion with my bestie! Its location is prime, the patio is magazine worthy, and the home felt so homey!
4.2
Way out of date interior needs better cleaning. The place needs a coat of paint. Soap and shampoo is powder in biodegradable containers… it’s horrible. No A/C. Three stories… get ready to climb stairs. Noisy neighbor dog barking at night…. Ya, I recommend it🚫

We had good and bad experiences with this rental. Starting off with the positives, the location of the house is great. It was a short walk to boardwalk and pier. Garage is a plus, with extra parking if you need it. You can see and hear the amusement park from the living room, but it shuts down around 9pm so it’s not too loud. They do provide some beach toys and chairs, no beach towels.
Check in isn’t until 4pm (why so late?) and when we arrived close to 4:10, the cleaning company was still in the unit. After driving 3 hours, I just wanted to get settled. The front door code that was emailed to me did not work, so we had to call their support line and have them reset it. If anything happens, do NOT text them. They didn’t answer my text for 10 hours. Just call. The floors were dirty, to the point all our feet were black within 5 minutes of being in the house.
Once we got through the rough check-in process, experience wasn’t so bad. House stayed cool during the day and neighborhood was quiet, minus a few fireworks at night. The beds were uncomfortable though. Old, saggy, squeaking box spring mattresses. At 5 months pregnant, it was a rough week for sleeping. This is a 3 story unit, but the stairs weren’t horrible, just a little steep. If you have little ones, I’d suggest bringing 2 baby gates to keep them off the stairs. Also, if there’s more than 2 of you wanting any hot coffee/tea, there’s only 2 mugs in the house. Overall, not a bad stay.
4.2
5 minutes from the boardwalk, plenty of towels & cooking supplies. Clean and shinny on arrival. Nice to have a garage to park in.
4.2
This is a great place to stay. The location is lovely- set back from boardwalk chaos but close enough to ride your bikes or walk places. Some things to note: the second floor has both bedrooms, and they are to share the bathroom. The second bathroom is on the third floor, where the kitchen, dining room, and living room areas are. The main bedroom has limited lighting as there are no overhead lights. The garage door didn't work, so we had to open it manually. When you do book this place, make sure you go through your vacasa email and get details on your trip so that you can confirm your identity and get all of the check-in instructions. SERIOUSLY IMPORTANT: BRING YOUR OWN LINENS! All the linens, pillowcases, and bedding had stains on them.
4.2
My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and we felt right at home. The condo was clean, spacious, with everything we needed to cook and entertain our kids. And the balcony was our favorite, we made coffee and enjoyed quiet moments watching the ocean while the kids slept. We’ll definitely stay here again.
4.2
Sheets and linens still had body hairs on them, the house had a musty/moldy smell to it. Spare pillow in the closet had dried bodily fluids (blood?).. Vacasa was extremely difficult to work with and it took a LOT more effort than it should have to remedy the situation. Ultimately we checked out two days early and went to a hotel. Home needs some serious love before new renters check in.
4.2
Location and parking are A+. From this location you can easily walk to the Boardwalk, the Wharf, and downtown Santa Cruz. We walked everywhere and loved it. The garage is nicely accessible with extra parking outside. From the third floor living area you can see the boardwalk and hear the screams from the riders (just faintly). I could even smell the sugar from the concessions, you're that close. At night, the lights are fun and festive. It all starts to shut down around 9-10p, so it never disturbed our rest. The house is very quiet in the evenings.
The bathrooms are fine, and the kitchen is typical of these rental homes, very spotty with what it has (personally I would have loved a tea kettle). The queen bed in the master bedroom is the biggest disappointment, being an old, springy bed that feels like a trampoline. I ended up sleeping separate from my partner in one of the twin beds, which are slightly better. Definitely a weakness for an insomniac like me.
4.2
My husband, adult son and I were in town to attend a funeral. This property suited our needs. It was fairly clean. It’s a 3 story unit. The staircase is a bit narrow and difficult to carry luggage up. It has a small package lift installed, however we couldn’t get it to work.
There is ample parking, including a single car garage for our use.
The only complaint we have is that there wasn’t any body wash or bar soap in the showers. They supplied quarter size samples of a “trial” product. A fine powder. It was not nearly enough for an adult shower or bath. We’ve never stayed at a property that didn’t provide shower products.
When we checked in, the front door was open and ajar. Nothing seemed to be missing, but we didn’t have an inventory sheet to check.
4.2
Condo is in excellent location and just a couple blocks from boardwalk and wharf. I felt safe in area and loved the three stories in condo. The garage was a bonus. Will visit again if in area.

As other reviewers mentioned the property is in a great spot with a nice view of the boardwalk. A simple stroll down the hill gets you right in to the action of the boardwalk and pier. Parking in the area is limited and having a place to park right in front of the home is a nice perk.
After a long day of driving, hiking, or walking around the local areas you want to come back to some simple comforts such as a good place to sit and sleep. This is where the unit falls short.
Bedrooms:
Beds are hard and uncomfortable. I would highly suggest to the owner invest in a new and larger bed in the main bedroom as the spring mattress left us with many sleepless nights. Every move woke the other person every night we stayed. The room could easily handle a king bed. A platform bed with a king memory foam or nicer spring mattress would really benefit future travelers from waking up with aching necks, shoulders and hips.
Secondary bedroom is two twin beds that also need updating. Both our teenage girls complained of similar aches and pains in the AM, creating a unenjoyable morning.
Living Room:
Sofa and chairs in the main living need to be removed and replaced. The sofa doesn't fit the room and covers the heat register for those colder days (which I did not notice until our final night). The padding on the sofa will only allow you to sit in certain areas of the sofa. Sitting other places you will feel the wood slats. Again, not great when trying to seat a family of four after a long day of exploring and needing some rest.
Cleanliness:
Well, It could use a remodel. I will admit the counter tiles are old. The flooring is inexpensive which makes the place feel unattractive. A fresh coat of paint would not hurt either. Again, a few dollars spent in these areas could take this home to the next level.
Overall:
I am giving our stay 3 stars (2.5 if possible) as it gave us a great location to things we wanted to do. This could easily be a 5 with some minor updates.

This unit, was in a perfect spot for our family's needs. It was close to the Kaiser Arena (5 minute walk) and about 2 blocks from the Boardwalk.
The house was clean and set up when we got there. The space is not huge, but it was fine for our 4 night stay. If you have mobility issues, the 3 stories might be difficult to navigate, although there is a dumbwaiter to help you get heavy items and groceries to the kitchen on the 3rd floor.
The driveway on the side of the house was awesome, since we didn't have to pay for parking during our trip:)
The only issue we had was that the digital lock was a little finicky, so I had to call Vacasa to get the code for the key lock. The TV remote was not working in the bedroom and the lamp on the left of the main bedroom was not working. These were small things that I wanted to let the management company know about.
We really enjoyed our trip and would happily book this home again in the future!

Deceiving picture, worse than expected. Dirty floors, dirty walls, worn bedding held together with safety pins and the queen mattresses is horribly uncomfortable and is very loud/squeaky with any movement. Despite all the previous reviews describing the above issues and the reply comments from the management company that they would look into it, nothing has changed. The vacation rental is still dirty and completely worn out/outdated. Also of note, the stairs are very steep, so if there are any issues with mobility or young children, look elsewhere. Lastly, given it’s proximity to the Boardwalk, if the weather is nice and the Boardwalk is open, expect grid locked traffic in every direction. Took us 30+ minutes to drive less than a mile back to this vacation rental.
