FAQ's About Our Home
1. Is it close to the ocean? We are about 300 yards from the beach as the crow flies from our rooftop but it is only a 2 minute drive to the closest beach. The beach is Puerto Juarez which is the original Cancun Beach before the Hotel Zone ever existed. It is the polar opposite of the glitz of the tourist area. It still has the innocent charm of a small fishing village with a lovely public beach which is usually filled with locals rather then tourists (see pics). USE THE CAR TO SHUTTLE YOUR CREW OR WALK there or to the ISLA MUJERES FERRY which is right around the corner from this beach. The beach you can see from the rooftop is right at an amazing bar and restaurant (Puerto Santo) right on the beach!
Literally a two minute drive from our house is the Ultramar Ferry which takes you to our favorite island, Isla Mujeres, which is the reason why we bought in our neighborhood. It's a great island with amazing beaches, tourist shops, restaurants, bars and - my favorite - fantastic inexpensive massages right on the beach they were 600 pesos ($30) in June 2023). You can rent a scooter or golf cart and tool around the island on golf carts and scooters. A blast!
2. Is it safe? Completely safe. Our home is in a gated and guarded community which has guard service 24 /7. Look up the location on google maps or Google earth to get an idea of where we are. Search "13 Cuenca, Bahia Azul, Cancun". That is our street. We also have smoke and CO2 detectors in the home.
3. Can you arrange airport pickup/dropoff work?
Yes, we have worked with the same transportation company for years and are happy to arrange your pick up. You will need to pay for the transport when they have dropped you off, but we can arrange it as a free service and get you a quote before your arrival so you are prepared. You will leave the terminal and they will be there to pick you up with your name on a placard.
We will show you the best Hotel Zone beaches, bars, grocery stores, gas stations, the Isla Mujeres Ferry (only a two minute drive away) etc. He can help you get tickets to all of the tourist destinations...Lory, the property manager lives right in the neighborhood if you need anything.
4. Do I need to rent a car or a van? Is it difficult to know your way around Cancun?
Definitely not! You will have the GMC Terrain at the home for use FOR FREE for all supply needs. You can pick up taxi's right outside our neighborhood if needed for any reason at the front gate. You can also pick up local busses very close by and the actual big out of town terminal is a quick car or taxi ride away.
It used to be very difficult to get around if you didn't know your way through Cancun's streets. GPS has completely transformed a foreigner's experience in Cancun now! I just changed this FAQ in June 2024. I usually answered that I always rent a car because it is just easier to get around. Now it is just the opposite. I spent 17 days in my home doing tons of upgrades which meant trips all over town before I got the car. I went to the hotel zone several times, Home Depot, Puerto Juarez, the bus station, took the bus to Tulum, Playa del Carmen, etc. I spent about $150 total on cabs and the bus and the experience was so easy. Cancun is now perfectly mapped out on GPS which is huge because the majority of the city was built very spontaneously so it is very confusing at first. Of course, MOST TRIPS IN TOWN ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE WITH THE FREE USE OF THE GMC TERRAIN.
We are a hop, skip and a jump to the Cancun bus station. These busses will get you to anywhere for incredibly cheap. We went to Tulum on this last trip and paid $6 - it's like a two hour drive. And the bussus were SO niiiice! Brand new....air conditioned.
If you have a huge group and just don't want to split the group to ride in several drivers at a time I can understand renting a car or van. Otherwise, forget the car...save the dough to eat at cool places or go on excursions.
5. Is there food and groceries close? Yes, Lory will make sure you know how to get to grocery stores, Walmart (best place for beer and liquor), Costco, Sam's Club, etc. Remember, however, that this home is in a real Cancun neighborhood. It is not in a resort. There are two small local restaurants outside our gate which serves local fare and is very good and inexpensive, food trucks and a little breakfast place. Puerto Juarez is down the street with restaurants, but in general you will need to grab a cab or hop in the car, at least, if you plan to eat out. There's lots of suggestions they can give you.
Everything about this luxury large group or multi-family 5 bedroom property feels like the perfect location for a Cancun Vacation. Our daily rate is incredibly inexpensive which includes the car use... an amazing bargain as a jump off point to the Hotel Zone, Isla Mujeres, Downtown Cancun, and an easy link to Bon-Am-Pok, the road to the Riviera Maya hotspots like Xcaret, Xel-Ha, Chichen Itza and other Mayan Ruins. No other place offers this in Cancun.
INCREDIBLE LOCATION:
1. This five bedroom home is a five minute drive to the beginning of the Hotel Zone which is also where the stunning Puerto Cancun Mall is.
2. Two minute drive (twelve minute walk) to the Isla Mujeres Ferry on Puerto Juarez...the original Cancun. The island is like a full vacation on its own. Stunning! Great bars, restaurants, gorgeous beaches and the ability to scooter or golf cart all over the island.
3. Five minute drive to the AWESOME PUERTO CANCUN MALL. We spend a huge amount of time at this mall when we visit. Great shops for very inexpensive clothes. We come home packed. But the real reason is the absolutely incredible upscale restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Japanese, French, Seafood and Steaks) and the outdoor food court and bar. Much different than the food courts at home. BEAUTIFUL and right on the water...awesome for a meal or a drink at night and so close to the house.
4. Five minute drive to the bus station for out of town trips.
5. Property is in a completely safe gated development of Bahia Azul with 24 -hour security and a great international community.

The gorgeous palapa (tiki hut) is furnished with three colorful hammocks, bar, barstools, gas BBQ and table and chairs for large group fiestas. Take the spiral staircase up one more floor to take in the view from the crow's nest - the amazing 360 degree view of everything! Inside, this traditional Mexican themed home is completely furnished with all new, high quality, furniture and electronics. Overall, we had a very good stay. The house was roomy, clean and was located in a nice neighborhood with several guards at the gate. We all felt quite safe there. We were a large group (12 people) and there were plenty of comfortable beds to accommodate us. I would suggest a couple of areas of improvement: the bathroom in the master needs attention. The door wouldn’t close and the doorknob was completely non-functional. No water pressure in the toilet so go #2 in a different bathroom. 😵💫No ventilation in any bathroom so byo air freshener. Toilet seat in that bathroom needs to be replaced. More hand towels and washcloths in the kitchen would also be helpful so renters can clean up after themselves. I would have liked to give this house 5 stars and, with the changes I’m suggesting, I certainly would have. But the real star of the home is the property manager: Lory Fiacco!!! She is friendly, helpful and really tried hard to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. She was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions and addressed the few concerns we had. She is top-notch and the owner is lucky to have her. Thank you Lory ❤️❤️❤️

We picked the perfect place for my entire family to be together for Christmas. The property was large enough to accommodate us all. With plenty of rooms and plenty of bathrooms. We had enough supplies to cook dinner in the kitchen and grill outside. Thanks for the memories. One of our best Christmases ever.

Had to leave for health issues. Other than that all was great. Host very attentive and always making sure everything was ok. Pool was a bit away from property but, didnt have the need or health to use it. Will I be back? Yes I will.

Lori was very nice and helpful, the property has plenty of room.Roof bar and grill is very nice for entertaining ,big plus for the washer and dryer, near to the Walmart express and neighborhood felt safe at all time, love it, recommend

The property was very accommodating. The host picked us up at the airport and brought us to the house. She opened the house for us and gave us the code. The house was cooled off for us. The house is equipped with all the things needed. The neighborhood was very friendly and safe. I would recommend this house.

Great property for a family vacation. Plenty of room for our group of 6. Unfortunately we had rain 6/10 days we were in Cancun. The covered rooftop was a great place to sit and avoid the rain. The home is conveniently located to get around town. Scott the property manager was excellent to provide local information. Would definitely recommend this property.

It's a great place to stay for the price if you're coming with a large group. Pick up and drop off from the airport, a car for getting around in town included, in a nice gated community. It's an all around great package.

Home away from Home
This property is wonderful. There were a total of 13 family members with us. The 5 rooms were perfect in size and we really liked that all but two rooms had their own full bath. The beds were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well equiped. We really liked that there were two refrigerators. The vehicle that they made available to us was very convenient. Scott the property manager and Michael the owner were super helpfull to us. My father-in-law needed dialysis while we were there and they both helped us get the inforamtion we needed to get that all set up. Scott got us picked up and dropped off at the airport via a shuttle service that was excellent. We booked all our tours through the company that they recommended and we received excellent service. We had to cut our vacation short, unfortunatley, due to a family emergency and Scott helped us print plane tickets and was a great support to us. We defintely recommend staying here!!

Puerto Juarez property was such a pleasurable experience. First of all, we had our first reserved home cancel a day before and had nowhere to stay and lucky for us this property was available. Michael, the owner, contacted me via email and told me that Scott the manager of this property would assist me in our check in and anything we needed. He automatically contacted me and offered his help in getting us pizza and drinks since our flight was delayed more than 5 hours and didn't get to Cancun until 11pm. It was really nice to have someone so helpful. The house was really clean, great decor, had everything you could possibly need besides being in your own home.. My overall experience was superb. I highly recommend this property!

Amazing!!!!
Great home!! My husband’s side of the family lives in Mexico and we rent this house when we have a reunion and everybody goes to the beach. The house is perfectly accommodating to the size of our group. We have 15 people and this home has been so good to us every time. The owner is extremely friendly and has always been available to answer any questions that we may have concerns about. Scott the property manager is also awesome! Very well informed about the area and activities and giving recommendations. Highly recommend this rental. Especially for large groups. Will definitely continue to use this home when going to Cancun.

A great house for some authentic Cancun experiences
This house was an absolute perfect place for me and my large family. Plenty of rooms, excellent kitchen, and a wonderful rooftop deck with a lovely breeze in the evening to get together and just enjoy being together. This is not a property you can walk to the beach from, but it is excellent for access to Central Cancun, short 15 mins to the Hotel Zone public beaches, and about 15 mins to a Ferry to Isla Mujeres. It is in a small gated community which gives you a real sense of security, but you can also easily walk to get to several great locals spots. Right outside the gate is an amazing local Mexican restaurant and a really cool Pizza place that serves a range of funky pizzas that are great. There is also a park for the kids right there. The property owner has a local house manager who was super friendly and easy to work with. We had to cut our trip short due to the COVID19 situation escalating back home in the US and the property owner is working with us on a credit for a future stay and we absolutely will be back. Getting to experience life in the Centro of Cancun is really pretty interesting and added a real uniqueness to the trip that is tough to explain. For any group whether family or friends though, this is a great spot.

Best in Cancun!!
Right from the start it was awesome. Scott makes this place run as smooth as possible.
The kitchen is great, two fridges makes it so convenient. The water hooked up to the in door ice and water is pure genius. Lots of room to prep and cook.
The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable.
The roof top area was great, bbq worked well and lots of room for the whole crew (15) and the toilet up there was convenient and airy. You really get to know the neighbors.
The only drawback is that you are sharing the pool with 8 other families, but if you are more social than I am, you will like it.
We did have the electrical meter go out on us one night which made sleeping without the a/c uncomfortable. Scott did a superb job in getting the technicians there and then replaced the meter the next day. Also the technicians were able to give us some power to get us through the night with lights, internet and appliances working.
One of the main reasons I booked this place was the stellar reviews Scott got and he did not disappoint. We didn't use him as much as some others indicated in their reviews, but when needed, he was the man.

Great place to stay if you are an experienced international traveler. The gated community is very safe and secure. Local area shops all spoke English and were quite friendly. (Don't miss the little taco stand at the playground after 8:00 pm)Quick walk (12 minutes) to the light house and the ferry to Isla Mujeres which in my opinion is much better than the hotel zone. The best part was the rooftop hammocks, unfortunately, they were rotted out from sun and wind so we could not use them. I am sure Scot will grab a few new ones very soon! A few more bar stools on the roof would be great too! Definitely my go to for Cancun in the future

Brilliant but the description needs tweaking
I want to write an honest review and we had a fantastic time but the villa description needs tweaking and the villa needs a little maintenance on it.
It is described as luxury, it is NOT luxury, it is a lovely villa set in a very typical Mexican residential area. There are many dogs wandering the complex and howl at 07.00 am although you do get used to the early alarm clock! The upstairs sky terrace has lights missing so we could not enjoy it after dark and the door does not lock and being as there is no safe within the villa this could be a problem, saying that the terrace is four floors up! There is no dishwasher but items from previous guests are left so it has cleaning items which is a big help as the local shops are very sparse. Walmart is a short taxi drive away and is roughly 40 pesos but to get a taxi back is 80 pesos as the drivers have to pay a small fee to be waiting within the shopping centre grounds, again this is no problem. The manual inside the villa or Scott states that the nearest beach is 400 metres or a 12 minute walk, this is in fact, a very local beach and the sea cannot be swam in due to local boats being around and it is about a 30 'min walk and the walk is on a main road. The manual states that you can use the hotel beaches by the hotel zone and use the pool etc. On arrival to the hotel advertised, We were told that this was not possible but obviously they could not stop us using the beach but we were not allowed to use the hotel pools and bar which actually makes sense really. If you choose this villa, which is lovely, please hire a car as it will make life a lot easier for everyone. We were a party of 11 so taxis and Uber's were a pain to organise. The taxi AP advertised in the manual was not possible to use as for the ten days we were there, there was no taxis in the vicinity.
If you want a holiday to mix with locals this is for you. Please do not be put off but we felt that the info had been a tad exaggerated . The communal pool had two cameras that are registered to the managers mobile so he can see you at all times and the poolside table and chairs are not to be used by guests of the villa.
The villa itself is well equipped and the beds were lovely and comfortable. The washing machine and drier was a fantastic bonus and the villa had about 40 towels to use. I would recommend this villa to young people .Isla Mujeres is a short boat ride away, we went on our own with a local fisherman and had a fantastic day with him

Cancun Girls Trip 2017!
I booked 4 days at the tranquility house with my 9 best girlfriends for once last adventure before getting married and we had the time of our lives in Cancun. The house was perfect and comfortable for our stay. Michael the home owner and Scott the property manager were there from beginning to end to answer questions and make us feel safe and comfortable reassuring me that I made the right choice in picking this home for my girls trip. While the home is a little on the outskirts, and a little away from the touristy area we were able to get the hotel district for the night life and easily get to nearby beaches like isla de mujers. Tranquility house is in a gated community and right outside you' can also find a lovely elderly couple who manage a taco stand. I recommend after a late night of drinking or cheap lunch you go grab some tacos as they are the best tacos I ever had. We did not rent a car as we found it more economical to take cabs and for a large group like ourselves it was very easy to get around and used Uber or local taxis. It was quit cheap ranging from 4 to 8 dollars at most per ride. I highly recommend booking excursions with Scott as he can help you find great deals. We did a day trip on catamaran as well as day trips to ruins and centotes. However, the the best part of our stay was how welcomed and at home we all felt. I highly recommend hiring Laura who can prepare meals for a fee, we all loved her cooking and it was totally worth it!!! We had typical Mexican dishes which blow eating out "out of the water". Scott , Laura and Michael provided great customer service and all went out of their to help us have a wonderful experience. One of my friends fell ill after a day trip and stood behind on one of our excursions. I was amazed at the attention and care to make sure our friend was ok, this exceeded our exceptions with the level of attention given. We just got home and can't stop raving about our time in Mexico. We would stay in the Tranquility house again and I highly recommend to anyone traveling with a large group and looking for a budget friendly vacation!!

Wonderful!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tranquility house. Scott and Laura were fabulous and we honestly couldn't have asked for better host! The home was conveniently located, and there was never a moment where we felt unsafe! Having Laura prepare meals for us while visiting was one of the most comforting pieces of our trip! Everything about our process was seamless and we were so thankful that we chose to stay in this beautiful home! Hasta la proxima vez.

The Tranquility House
Well....what word can describe about our stay in this home...AMAZING!!! It took me some time to finally write a review because I was so busy telling people how great this place is. This home is simply beautiful. The kitchen was newly remodeled, we loved the rooms and everything was working great. We had a big party of 15 people and accommodated us nicely. When we arrived in Cancun we were so tired and hungry from our flight from San Francisco. A week before we arrived Michael had already recommended us to eat at a local restaurant down the street from the house. The food was very good and inexpensive. After we ate, we rested a bit and Scott took us to Walmart and Costco to get a few things. Man this guy really knows everything! He knows which places are cheaper than others, and thats exactly what we needed. Unfortunately our trip started bad due to my friends missing their flight and having their luggage sent elsewhere. We already had a planned trip to visit Tulum the following day but our friends were so stressed because all they could think of was their lost baggage. Thankfully while we were in Tulum, Scott got in touch with the airline for us and retrieved the luggage for our friends, what a life saver! Now Laura, (Scott's gf) she was our personal chef. After a long day of excursions, we came home to a delicious, authentic Mexican meal served beautifully at our table. Her food was amazing and we really felt like home. Scott and Laura, thank you so much for the great hospitality!!! We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful home and highly recommend to big families. We are definitely coming back and renting this home again!

Very nice property
This rental is just as pictured and everyone was so helpful every step of the way, from booking to departure. We had no problem finding it on our own and were able to check in (and out) very smoothly with Scott, who was wonderful with his recommendations and hospitality.
This is a great place to stay with family. There was seven of us ranging in ages from 13-75. The rooms are all upstairs, great for the couple of days that we wanted to sleep in. Each of us was able to have our own space if desired or have family time in the living dining room area. The rooftop was very popular with all of us due to the hammocks. The community is secure and quiet, perfect area if you want to stay away from the crowed hotel zone and have a very quiet relaxed vacation. The pool is a short walk from the property, although it is a shared pool it was mostly for ourselves.
We had no major issues while staying there. Everything in Cancun is close by, but if you are a medium to big group (like we are) it’s best to rent a car if you want to make the best of it.
Thanks Scott and Laura for welcoming us like we were old friends.
We were all very pleased with this rental.

Incredible place/rooftop/host/new cocina
Loved this place. The breeze on the rooftop at night is so nice, we just wanted to stay there. Scott, the manager did so much for us. He was the perfect host. Such a friendly guy. We arrived just after the owner put in a new kitchen and wow...nice Mexican style kitchen that was a surprise from what we saw in the photos when we booked. We hired someone who showed how to cook enchiladas which was really fun for my daughter especially who has already made enchiladas at home since we've been back. Great location. We Uber'd around town which was so easy and the house was very conveniently located. Scott helped us with where to go often. Great place...we would definitely book again there.

Rooftop Bliss
We enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave! Michael was informative and Scott, the caretaker was helpful. There is a bit of a hike to a beach and a ferry ride. We walked about 15 minutes to the ferry that took us to Isla Muenjeres. We loved it there...300 pesos per person. Or else we went to the beach in the hotel zone...50 pesos for the taxi to the bus (route 1 or 2) then 12 pesos each for wherever you want to get off. There is a public beach in the area with washrooms. You can go wherever you want on the beach as no hotel owns the beach. We would definitely go back to "Tranquility House". Our kids really liked having their own space at night as we had busy days walking or being transported to the water. The rooftop was very relaxing and cool in the evenings...no mosquitos or scorpions! If we needed assistance or to find out about tours, it was great to have Scott's help. We enjoyed being immersed in the Mexican culture rather than staying in a hotel. There is a basketball court and field a block away. Our boys played soccer and basketball with some local boys and although they couldn't communicate very well verbally, the universal language of sport was exciting to watch. Everyone had smiles and enjoyed each other's company. We felt safe and didn't have any problems. If you stay here, you will love the place....and also not want to leave. Thank you Michael for having a great place to stay and Scott for helping us.

Amazing! Everything we hoped for and more!
We stayed here in February 2017 for our wedding reception. The house is amazing, and Scott the property manager went out of his way to help us with anything we needed! We will definitely be renting this house again for our next trip to Cancun!!! Toby and Adriana

Wonderful Property!
What a great location! Although we didn't spend very much time at the house because of all the great activities in the area, Isla Mujeres, Akumal, the cenotes and so on. We did get a chance to hang out at the rooftop terrace. It was really NICE. Great neighborhood area. We went jogging to the ferry terminal every morning. The property manager, Scott was really helpful. Beautiful house! Highly recommended!

Home away from home :)
Wow! What an experience we had at this home. We were a group of 9 adults visiting our favorite vacation destination... Cancun, Mexico! We have been to Mexico 4 times before this trip in the past 2 years and have never stayed in anything other than a resort. This house was everything we needed. From the moment I sent an inquiry to the owner until the day of the departure, we had fluid communication between us and Michael (the owner). Upon reaching the Cancun airport, Scott (your go-to guy for EVERYTHING) had arranged and paid for our ground transportation to the house. We had arranged to pick up 2 rental cars at the airport and of course once we got there, the company decided not to take our credit card insurance, which is very common in Mexico. They try to scam you out of hundreds of dollars to take their insurance instead of your own. So Laura took us back to the house. The very next morning Scott took us to the Hertz by Walmart and we were able to book the car using our own credit card insurance. We paid $80 per week for a car. Ya, worth the wait instead of paying $300-400 per car for insurance. Scott also gave us a TomTom to use while in town to make it easier to get around and it was a life saver many times. He even programmed in home to we could get there in one click. During the course of our stay we did alot. We visited The City nightclub in Cancun and it was the party of our lives. Unlimited drinks, table service, bottle service, the works. We went to Xplor and Xcaret. Went deep sea fishing & caught 3 Queen Triggers, 1 tuna, 3 barracuda including one that was a 40 lb trophy fish. We visited Isla Mujeres and enjoyed the beaches and local food. We drove to Tulum then back to Akumal bay to swim with turtles. Bring your own snorkel, it will cost $5 for a lifejacket. You do not need a guide. The house was exactly like the photos. The view was breathtaking. You are about 1 mi to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Beaches near the ferry. I would highly recommend this house. It was clean, very large, great neighbors, Scott checks in with you through the trip to see if you need anything, close to shops, food. Oh and the beds are extremely comfortable. Thank you Michael, Scott and Laura for making this one of the most memorable trips we have had to date. We would definitely stay at this house again!

Home is perfect for stay with everything and more you may need
We rented this house with a large group of family 16 August 2-10, 2016. The house was very nicely suited for all our group. Each couple and family had their own sleeping accommodation, and we had plenty of common area as well for the group. The location was everything we expected and more.. the house overlooked the marina and we thoroughly enjoyed laying on the hamicks. We moved around in cars but the house was easy to find and was in close proximity to a variety of eating establishments and hotel zone. Scott was so amazingly kind and was right around the corner if we needed anything. Scott had everything aranged for us to be picked and dropped off at the airport. The neighborhood is gated and with security. Upon arrival we enjoyed a drink at the "tiki bar". This was our first time renting this home. We will definitely rent this house again. Let me just say this place is absolutely wonderful! We cannot wait to go next year and hopefully stay in the same place. It is absolutely breathtaking. Nicest place we've ever stayed in. I would recommend this to anyone going to Cancun in a group or family.

great accommodations and a manager available if there are any issues
We stayed at this property in Cancun because we needed a place for 16 people to be able to eat and rest comfortably after being on mission work all day each day. It was great to come home to AC, a kitchen where everything works, and comfortable beds to sleep in. If there were ever any little issues, the manager Scott, came over right away to make sure it was taken care of. We have stayed here the last three summers and hope to be there again next year!

Wonderful vacation and rental right in the middle of it all!
Tranquility House was the best vacation spot we've ever had. Our shuttle arrived promptly at the airport to pick us up and Scott was at the house to meet us and show us around. He then gave us a bit of time to settle in before he took us to WalMart and Costco to grab groceries. The home was beautiful and only had minor problems, all of which we showed to Scott and he noted them all. The rooftop became our go-to spot as, even in the hottest of weather, it was cool and comfortable. The home is extremely roomy and all of the bedrooms were huge! The kitchen, while small, was appropriately equipped for cooking in the home, which we did a lot. The rooftop grill was an added bonus and worked well.
The location was perfect for us--minutes to the ferry to Isla Mujeres, el Centro, and the Hotel Zone. The location made perfect sense for our group of 11; 8 adults and 3 older teenagers. The neighborhood was safe and none of us had any problems going out at any time, even in the middle of the night. Grabbing a cab was as easy as walking outside the gates...they were all over. Everyone was able to go and do their own thing at any time, or just sit at the house and chill.
Scott made everything perfect for us! We had some minor snafus (a lost/stolen cell phone, to start) and he went out of his way to help us. While we never found it, his help throughout he process was amazing. He helped with a clogged toilet when no plunger was to be found. He let us know any time he was going to the store to see if we needed anything (more beer???). He also assisted and came through with last-minute transportation requests and ideas for activities. He arranged to have a local professor come over and teach me how to cook authentic cuisine and she stayed with me ALL DAY to perfect these meals. I have brought that knowledge home with me and my family is so thankful for that! I have NEVER seen a property manger who loved his job more than Scott. He made our vacation amazing and we cannot wait to go back.
A few notes if you're a first-time traveler to the area...don't fill your schedule too tightly with excursions. Almost any excursion will take all day due to the length of time it takes to travel to places such as Chichen Itza or Tulum. I will, however, highly recommend the Xplor park. It's fairly new, but it was so much fun. It's an adventure park with zip-lines, amphibious vehicles, underground rivers in which you can swim, an all-you-can-eat buffet, and more.
