Place of convenience. Close to family. We were cut short because we left before hurricane baryl came to Texas coast

This property was a perfect place for my family. The house was a good size for me, my wife, and 2 sons(14) (12). The house was in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We stayed for 5 nights and slept comfortably every night. There is a train that passes at night, it is close enough to hear, but not so loud it should really bother anyone. We were in town for a youth baseball tournament. This location was about 45 min to an hour from Hobby Airport / Downtown Houston. There are many places to eat in the area by driving a few minutes. My wife and I enjoy going for walks in the early morning (6 to 7am) and we were able to walk the neighborhood and say "hi" to many of the people in the neighborhood. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great cozy environment had everything we needed! Will definitely be back!

Stay was excellent. Only issues was the coffee pot wouldn’t work, but a spare was located on site and worked fine. Remote to Roku tv was missing but a new one was dropped off in a very timely manner. Great weekend all around!

It was a decent property the only thing that would have been better and I related it to the property owner it would have been a decent frying pan and a coffee machine that actually worked. But the facility itself was fine

The area was quite calm the possibly issue I had with the general stay was the point at which we arrived it was an entertaining smell it had pet hair on the furniture the dishes were filthy it was extremely dusty and the sheet material wasn't spotless likewise there was no dish towels there to wash the dishes and there was no pots or container actually except for the director of the property was extremely sweet it wasn't any little towels yet I got some anyway for the region and the spot of the area was extraordinary a decent move away from home

We were traveling from Chicago to Texas for Christmas. 24 hours before we check in he gave us all the information we needed to get in. He even put another tv in the master bedroom. The house was clean. One of things I suggest, if you have guest staying during Christmas is to decorate. Thankfully we drove from Chicago so we were able to bring a tree with us. The lock to get in the home was funky and we were never able to use it. If you're looking for luxury home this would not be for you. It's an older home but it worked just fine for us. Thank you!!

My family and I rented this home, not thinking it would be fancy, but just a place to lay our head at night. Turns out it wasn’t either. First of all, we were given no instructions on using the electronic lock to enter the home which was incredibly finicky. We finally enter to find a very dingy, grimy home. The kitchen had a horrible smell; the bedsheets were horrendous. All of the furnishings felt like they might disintegrate upon use. We received only 2 rolls of toilet paper (mind you we are 6 people there for several days). The most irritating part was that at first glance there were no towels at all. Upon further investigation we realize there are towels, but they are all sopping wet hanging in a bedroom closet. Apparently we were required to dry them ourselves. I think after this experience I will swear off VRBO entirely. It was completely unacceptable.

The house is modest and, on the surface, clean. The 1970s linen and coffee pot needs an upgrade. The coffee pot takes an hour to make coffee. Someone has control of the AC online. It is Houston, TX, and you all need control of AC. The neighbor’s yard has a camera facing the front door, plus the neighbor lady was very intrusive, almost like spying. By the way, bring your toilet paper because they limit three rolls. Their soap dispenser fell off the wall, and I was charged half the repair. I can guarantee it will fall again. You might be the next maintenance contributor.

We were in town for my son's wedding and this house was perfect! Owner was VERY responsive throughout our stay with any question or concern.

We had to ask the host to turn down the a/c everyday from the set 86*. The neighbor was sitting on the front porch, watering the lawn for the owners who had just watered it the day before, while we were there. This stay felt very intrusive.

House was nice and clean. Would stay again if we go back.

The house provided us with all the accommodations we needed for or extended weekend in Houston.

We needed a place to relax and get ready for the wedding. It w as a great location. Very comfortable and reasonably priced.

Definitely recommend staying here, clean place quiet neighborhood stores nearby. Will use them again on my next trip !

We stayed at this property for 5 nights. It was very comfortable stay for a family of 5. The bedrooms were decent size and kitchen well stocked. The owner was very responsive. We had a wheelchair that was easy to move around on the hardwood floors and get in the bedrooms. But the bathroom doors were narrow to accommodate the wheelchair. The location was very convenient and close to highway.

Easy process, great location, plenty of room, garage, fenced yard for our dogs. Good value for the money.
Thank you

We were in town for a family function & the brothers in law decided to stay here on their own. This place was so convenient for us and had everything we needed.
4.4
Coffee maker took 45 minutes to brew a pot, only 4 coffee cups but 2 were cracked, only a few small glasses and no waste basket in hall bathroom. Need blinds for living room, dining room and back bedroom. All of these are easy fixes.
We would stay again.

We rented this house because it was close to the place we were having our family reunion. We had a few problems, but the owner quickly tried his best to help us.

was in a good neighborhood and worked perfectly for what we needed

My friend and I that stayed enjoyed our time at the property. It had everything that we needed available. It was relatively close to the side of town we wanted to be on. Talking with the property owners was great! I would definitely stay again!

Just like the listing
Check in was easy the neighborhood is a really quiet neighborhood I like the fact that it had a garage even though if we had to park in the driveway that would have been ok too. The pictures are just like it is the area is a nice area near the woodlands about 35 minutes from the museum we went to in downtown and more reasonable price than the hotels downtown if we ever come back to Houston we would stay there again.

The house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It was adequate the definitely not up to VRBO standards. I had to request the code to get into the house because they didn't send it 24 hours before check in.
We first noticed that there were no towels in the bathrooms. We finally found them clean and folded on the dryer. The hand soap was the cheap individually wrapped hotel soaps and there was only one in the main bath. The one-ply toilet paper was totally unacceptable. There were no towels or dish cloths in the kitchen.
The WiFi didn't work. The router wasn't even plugged in.
The hot water in the kitchen was turned off. When we turned it on, the faucet dripped constantly.
There were limited utensils in the kitchen, for instance not a full set of silverware. The cooking utensils were flimsy.
The beds were all very hard and uncomfortable. The twin beds were pretty much a joke, but we were glad to all have a bed.
The note left on the counter said to "enjoy the refreshments". The only food we found was canned food left by other people. Beans are not a refreshment!
Our feeling was that whoever prepares the house did not do an good job. To be fair, we did not reach out to the owner because we were there to rehearse all weekend and did not want to be interrupted. There was nothing that we couldn't deal with, but it would have been more enjoyable with a little more attention.

Quiet neighborhood, lights were on when we arrived, which made it easier to locate. The owner was usually quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had. Loved the floors. Older home, so it still could use some touch-ups, but it suited us for the 4 nights/5 days we were there. Close to the convention we were attending. Found a few things the cleaning crew didn't pick up, no big deal. Could have used dish rags & dish towels. Nice to have night stands next to the beds. Surprised we couldn't find a trash bag to replace the kitchen one when we filled it up, so we had to put some of the trash unbagged in the outside trash containers. Daughter was bothered by the lights shining through the sheer curtains in one of the bedroom windows at night, so I hung what appeared to be a bed sheet over the curtain rod. My blind wife was bothered by the scent devices plugged into different outlets, but I didn't find out until after we left. If I'd known I would have unplugged some or all of them while we were there.

Unfortunately, our stay turned out pretty disappointing. When we first stepped into the house, it gave us an overwhelmingly greasy and humid feeling. I put my hand onto the living room table and found it was too greasy to be called "cleaned". Same for other furnitures. It made me wonder how often hard surfaces in this house actually get cleaned/sanitized between stays. Then, I checked out the kitchen and saw some small trash scattered in the pantry cabinet. Both bathrooms had some strong unpleasant smell like plumbing-related problem, especially in the hallway bathroom. The shower caddy in master bathroom was rusted pretty well. The shower hanger there seemed worn out and had a torn hole. Some washcloths looked just old and worn out. Some towels looked quite heavily used. These items should not be expensive to replace. Then, I checked under the bed linens and found some black stuff that looked like watermelon seed. There was also some dry brown stuff like food residue on the TV screen. It seemed like the cleaning team probably was running late and rushed it through. On my last night at the property, I did sit on the futon for awhile and then got an itchy red bump on my leg. I pray that it's not a bed bug bite. It could be other bugs'. But that old-looking, sagging futon really seemed sketchy to me, especially in the greasy and humid air in the house.
We did not mind that the furnitures are old, and the house itself needs many updates. For the price we paid (with cleaning fee added), we were disappointed at the cleanliness. It's nowhere close to a typical vrbo-standard rental house. More like a cheap motel, honestly speaking.
I'd like this to be a fair review. So here are a few good things about our trip despite those red flags. The location of the house was convinent for us, which was the reason we rented it. Despite the old/heavily used washcloths and towels, toiletries were provided. We had a tight schedule in town, so we did not spend most of our time at the house. At night, it's pretty quiet, so we're able to sleep through. Hopefully, the owner/management/housekeeping team would do a better job in the in the future, so this rental property could consistenly be a good place for all future guests. Thanks.

The house was good, and our stay was really fine, so we don't have much to complain about. However, the whole experience didn't feel super professional.
We were told we'd get access code information 24 hours before check-in, and we only got it about 10 hours before, and I had to prompt the managers to even get that.
I certainly don't expect them to supply our every need, but I don't recall being told we needed to bring our own toiletries and things, but all they had were the partial rolls on the toilet paper holders and some leftover hotel soap ... not even simple handsoap dispensers near the sinks. They also mention complimentary "refreshments" on their welcome letter, but the only food in the house is whatever canned food and condiment packets were left behind by previous renters.
Beyond that, the property was in OK shape, but it really needed some attention. Both shower curtain liners were damaged, a simple and inexpensive item to fix. Several of the lights were either flickering or out completely (front porch, laundry closet, bathroom vanities), which again are easy items to maintain. The washer was GREAT to have, but we found three mismatched socks that weren't ours in the rubber seal around the door from who knows how long ago, which makes me wonder how often that's cleaned as those washers are notorious for growing mold in those places.
All that said ... we are grateful for the rental and did enjoy our stay. Thanks!
