About this villa rental

MOMENTS
Moments is not your typical vacation resort. Nestled in the hills of Scarborough, Tobago, situated northeast of its twin island Trinidad, this beautifully appointed villa offers you a home away from home on this small lush Caribbean island replete with rainforests, waterfalls and pristine beaches. Tobago is not your usual touristy island. Tourism does not feel imposed on this country; the island is beautifully defined by its unique local life.

Come here to relax, replenish or rejuvenate. Come with your spouse or partner to rekindle a romance. Come to start, finish or edit your book. (contact us ref. writers packages). Moments features two elegant bedroom suites, each with a private master bath and gorgeous ocean views. You will find a fully appointed kitchen with dining sitting areas that open to a semi-circular porch for sitting, reading or just gazing at the vast ocean view. For guests seeking to reserve both bedrooms the rate is $150 per night. Please contact the owner directly for other longer term rates.

Two steps down and you are in the whirlpool for a soothing water massage under the sun or the moon or in the pool for an invigorating or relaxing swim. Moments surrounds you in tranquility and natural beauty day and night. Moments is close to many open stretches of beach, however, it is recommended that you plan to rent a car or hire a driver for the length of your stay or for day trips. 'Tranquility'-

Tobago is luxuriantly forested with an abundant water supply and mountainous terrain marked by waterfalls and mountain pools along the courses of its many small rivers. Protecting Tobago's coastline is mile after mile of coral reef harbouring a wide variety of marine life which feeds on the fertile convergence of two seas. The mean annual temperature is 32 degrees C (89 degrees F) with an average rainfall of 200 cm (40 inches). Dry season is from January to May and wet season from June to December. Significantly, Tobago is outside of the hurricane belt.

Wow, I could not ask for a better view or a more memorable stay. This villa has stunning vistas, is close to Scarborough, yet quiet and calm. Yes, it could definitely use air conditioning in the bedrooms, because Tobago is hottttt! But the private infinity pool and jetted whirlpool easily made up for it. I loved my time at Moments. You will love it too. Great stay!

I am grateful beyond compare for this experience and the beginning of what is sure to be my place of peace and happiness . Thank you for showing me what tangible bliss is made of ! 💜💜

Property was what it said it was Very steep driveway but beautiful views Needs a little work and in this country you need AC for which it does not but the pool makes up for that Other wise everything there to make you stay there an unbelievable experience

Renting this property was smooth and effortless. Mr Nelson (property manager) was responsive to any of our needs and always shared pleasant conversation while doing so. One would definitely want to rent a car for this location or at least be prepared to taxi. This property has some stairs that could become slippery when wet so I would exercise caution if stairs are a problem and to always use the railing. The neighbourhood felt safe and was great for our morning walks. A natural beach was just a 15 minute walk away and made for a gorgeous hour long beach walk. Overall, we were very happy with our choice to rent this beautiful spot.

The property wasn’t what we expected. Bedrooms are accessible by an exterior staircase through a separate locking front door, and this is a wholly separate area to the living accommodation. Odd. And meant carrying separate keys, even indoors. The property is well overdue for some TLC. One of the 4 available burners on the cooker was out of use due to rust. A second did not heat efficiently. I question the overall safety of the appliance. Nonetheless, we’d get by. The VRBO listing suggested bars/ restaurants nearby - there are none. The nearest decent-sized supermarket is quite some distance away. A car is essential. No fault of the owner, but 3 days after we arrived a major building work started immediately next door. This compromised the privacy we’d sought and and the noise started early and continued until nightfall both days before we moved out. We were given an immediate refund, and our booking cancelled, to be vacated the following day. We were then completely stranded as VRBO were of no help whatsoever. We were timed out of the helpline 3 separate times, each time having to go through full booking and reservation details and each stage of the problem, before being told there were computer issues, being put on hold, then having the online chat disconnected because it had been too long without agent activity. Fortunately, friends on the island helped, and we found another property to use for our stay. It took VRBO 4 days to get in touch and offer to help. We can’t recommend the accommodation, if only because to lose half the cooker on a self-catering holiday is rather unreasonable, and we won’t recommend VRBO as they proved utterly pointless and without willingness to help problem-solve. And it was a very significant problem.

The property is beautiful and quiet but needs to be modernized. There is only one small tv in the living room area and no televisions and AC in the bedrooms. Although the location is safe and quiet, it is dismal. The property manager Mr. Gosnel is super accommodating and helpful
