About this house rental
Looking for a vacation spot that is truly away from the hustle and bustle? Then welcome to the RAWHIDE RENDEZVOUS! Located in the quiet town of St. Charles, Idaho, in the northern end of Bear Lake Valley (Idaho and Utah), this beautiful country home (two-story, wheelchair-accessible) on a one-acre lot is perfect for a single family or a family reunion. The home is air conditioned for your comfort during the summer months and has a fireplace to warm you during the winter. There’s plenty of parking for cars and four-wheelers/snowmobiles, and you have full use of the oversized two-car garage. North Beach, our favorite of all of Bear’s Lake’s beaches, is a quick 10-minute drive away; Garden City is only 11.7 miles south; and Minnetonka Cave and other nearby activities are only minutes away.
The house is 3,400 square feet, has six (6) bedrooms and four (4) full bathrooms, and sleeps eighteen (18) in beds. We will accommodate groups up to 34 (children two years of age and younger are not counted in the 34). There are nine (9) sleeping mats located in various closets in the home, and kids are welcome to sleep on the couches and comfortable lounge chairs.
Per St. Charles City regulations, no tents or camp trailers can be set up in the yard. Also, no parking is allowed on the city road (200 South). Renters may host parties with more than 34 people as long as overnight guests do not exceed 34. However, because of insurance restrictions, we are unable to host weddings.
The main floor has a wonderful great room with floor-to-ceiling, lake-facing windows, a big-screen HDTV, Blu-ray/DVD player, wireless internet, well-equipped kitchen with enough dishes for a Thanksgiving dinner, dining area, and laundry room. Three of the six bedrooms are located on the main floor. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom, and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom.
The downstairs is a daylight basement that opens onto a patio that faces the lake. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located downstairs. There is a large family room and a small kitchenette with a sink, small fridge, and microwave. Another big-screen HDTV with Blu-ray/DVD player can be found in the family room, along with an extensive movie selection.
HOUSE RULES:
Because St. Charles is a small, quiet town, noise ordinances (no loud noises after 10 pm) and speed limits (25 mph) are strictly enforced. Please respect the neighbors by keeping music and party noises down after 10:00 pm and by obeying traffic laws. If the police are called because of infractions, you may be asked to leave. This hasn't happened yet, but we want to remain on good terms with the neighbors!
COST:
$800/night during peak season: Memorial Day through Labor Day (minimum three-night stay) plus 8% Idaho sales tax.
$400/night during off-peak season: After Labor Day to just before Memorial Day (minimum two-night stay) plus 8% Idaho sales tax.
Payment can be made with a credit card or a personal check.
TAXES: Idaho sales tax of 8% will be added to the rental fee.
CLEANING FEE: $400.00

This is the third time in the last four years that we have enjoyed this home. We hope to return in two years from now. Everything you would expect and more. Clean, everything works, lots of toys to take to the lake, extra tables for outside meals, great barbecue, lots of trash containers, big wonderful yard to play all kinds of games, etc etc. We were a party of 32 and had grandma and grandpa, all the way down to two great-great grandkids.

The house and yard were both well kept and beautiful. We love staying in the quiet little town of St Charles. It very much suits our family, and is very close to our favorite beach.
It was stormy for part of our stay, but the kids kept entertained by a great seection of DVDs, so that was nice.

The house was perfect for our family reunion! St. Charles is the best place to enjoy bear lake without the crowds. The yard was perfect for the kids to run around! The kitchen was well stocked and felt like we had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend.

We've stayed here twice and plan to stay again. St. Charles is the best place to stay to avoid Garden City crowds. The home is clean and comfortable. We love the space and the layout for our family of 20. The front lawn is amazing for kids to run around and play. We will come back again and again as long as it is available.

Everything as described! Tons of room inside and out! Stocked! Stocked stocked! Everything you would ever need was here! Multiple fridges, tons of kitchen stuff, lots of outdoor seating, lots of towels and extra blankets. Such a fantastic location!

Already sent a text about the Bat problem, killed one bat in the umbrella in the picnic table. Lot's of bat droppings. Grill was left very dirty. Clean that up ourselves. the propane tank on the right side is out of propane. Fixed the back door, it was sticking quite a bit. Refrigerator Ice maker not working. Could have used more pillows. Over all it was a nice place to stay for the 24 of us. :)

We celebrated our annual family reunion and couldn’t be happier with our stay. Amazing location only a 5min drive to the lake, huge yard which allowed for football and volleyball games. The house has an open floor plan, a lot of natural lighting, and some beautiful views. Hope to be back next year!

This is a great space for a multi family gathering. Nice large size bedrooms, plenty of beds and bedding, a wonderful big yard that we spent much time in playing baseball, stomp rockets, frisbee etc. good location close to more than just Bear Lake. Had good space for manipulating a wheelchair. Just a lovely space.

Great family reunion
We all enjoyed our stay. The teenagers found it great and had plenty of room to roam and just hang out. The younger kids had a blast with all the space and yard. We adults had room to sit and visit and all joined in different games playing kick ball, softball and football. Volley ball and games I’ve never heard of.
The home was clean and with lots of towels and had all the cooking utensils that we needed except I was told they could of used a crock pot. The modem is located in the garage and coverage is not all that great in some parts of the house.
We plan to book this home again as we really enjoyed it!

Everything was very clean, neat and very well-stocked, just as a regular home would be. Everything we needed, we had. I slept on a bed roll the first night, and had the best night of sleep ever! They were really nicer than expected. There was plenty of room for our family, and things really couldn't have been better. Thanks for letting us stay in your home!

Loved our stay!
We came after Christmas and stayed through New Years with a big group. 18 kids under the age of 12 and 11 adults. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably! Also plenty of bathrooms to accommodate all the showers and potty needs with that many little children around. The house was so comfy, cozy and warm. It was all decorated for Christmas which made it so fun for our holiday getaway. The large kitchen and pantry made it so convenient to cook for our whole crew, and we also were able to use the provided folding tables for extra dining spots so everyone could sit and enjoy their meal.
The host was so easy to communicate with and kept us updated with everything we needed to know about getting in and clear instructions about what was expected when we leave. Our whole family loved it!

Definitely would recommend!
This is the second time we have stayed at Rawhide Rendezvous, and we have loved it! Elaine is so on-top of things and makes your stay easy. We loved having the three fridges, and the kitchen was very well equipped—we made Thanksgiving dinner there both times! There is plenty of room for everyone to hang out and the kids liked playing outside on the big lawn. Plenty of parking, and even with 32 of us, we were able to find a spot for everyone to sleep. Couldn’t be happier!

Awesome Place
Stayed here with my family and the house is just wonderful!! Large and had room for everyone. The neighborhood was quiet, the yard is immaculate and plenty of room for kids to play and run around. It is equipped with pretty much all you need. The owners were amazing to work with and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. This house was perfect for my whole family to enjoy! Elaine was extremely easy to communicate with and very quick to respond.
The beds were very soft and very comfortable.
There was a TON of space for inside and out.
The kitchen was bigger than expected. Big enough to cook breakfast for 5 different households.

Beautiful, quiet, and clean
We LOVED this house. We had 25 people, most of them were adults, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is set up for large groups and has many appliances, beach toys, and games to use. The location is quiet and peaceful. We are looking forward to staying there again!

Perfect for a Family Get Together
We enjoyed our stay here so much. We had a group of family from ages 2 to 75. There was plenty of room. The arrangement of the rooms and 2 levels worked perfectly for us. The huge yard area and the wrap around deck were well used. We set up the tables and chairs in the garage for the kids to do crafts. It was so nice to have 3 fridges and the bbq grill is huge. Everything was perfect for a large group. Lots of beach towels, sand toys, extra chairs, tables, balls, ping pong table, roasting sticks, games, and movies. Close enough to everything to enjoy, but far enough away for some peace and quiet.

Perfect for Family Reunions
This is our fourth time staying at the Rawhide Rendezvous. We love this house. It is the perfect size for the 22 of us that come, and it is so close to North Beach. The house is always clean and well maintained, and we have never had any problems with anything. We will definitely be back (if it isn't booked out already). ;)

Rawhide Rendezvous Spectacular
This was the best place we have ever stayed at and the most beautiful. They thought of everything that anyone would ever want or need. Games, movies, stocked kitchen, beach towels, tubes, basketball hoop, tether ball, on and on down to cotton balls and bandaids. It was just so amazing. They were so accommodating and willing to make our stay the best ever and it was. We have a large family and every one of them expressed how great it was. Best Memories Ever!!

A Little Slice of Heaven
We absolutely loved our stay at Rawhide Rendezvous. It was the most peaceful and beautiful stay. A perfect distance from the lake and a nice and quiet distance from the hubub of Garden City. We had every age here and everyone loved it. The sprawling lawn was perfect for family games and lazy afternoons. The house is well stocked with everything you might need and the Allred's were incredible and attentive hosts when we had a small need that came up. We will be staying here again next summer.
