Fireplace: Upon arriving in the home the fireplace damper will always be in the shut locked position. When using fireplace unlatch chain in upper back, right hand corner to release and OPEN Spring loaded damper. When not in use please pull down and re-latch chain to close. PLEASE do not use lighter fluid or any foreign materials to start fire. Do not burn anything other than dry firewood...i.e. Plastic, food scraps, wax paper, wet wood. ALWAYS keep fire screen in front of the fireplace. Never leave children unattended near the fireplace. PLEASE do not sit on hearth.
Kitchen: Range is gas operated so if you're not familiar with operating a gas stove please call and we will walk you through it!
Hallway closet: You will find extra paper products and towels and linens here.
Master bedroom closet: Extra chairs for dining room table.
Outdoor porch room: Broom and dust pan and vacuum.
** If you use the barbecue grill please make sure that it is turned off and the propane tank is turned off, cool and recovered..If you use up all the propane please refill it for the next renter. Refills can be made at The convenience store/gas station at 401 Lake Ave.

We loved the house and neighborhood with an easy walk into town and to the beach! The house easily accommodated 6 of us very comfortably. Since there is only one bathroom, we were very grateful for the outside shower and used it many times. Perfect weather all week completed our family vacation!

Wonderful home in Parrot Cove
Just another wonderful stay in this tasteful, clean and perfectly located home right in the middle of Parrot Cove, close to both beach--a walk or bike ride or short drive over the bridge--and to town, with restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. Owners are very responsive and attentive, and provide a lovely home to stay in. Cute kitchen, nice bright dining room, comfortable living rooms and bedrooms.

Wonderful home!
Staying and Amy and Steve's place in Parrot Cove was a real pleasure. Their home is spotless, tasteful and extremely comfortable. Every detail is attended to with care. We cannot say enough good things about it. Absolutely perfect. The location is fantastic as well: close to the beach and to restaurants, coffee houses, etc. in Lake Worth. But on a quiet and well maintained and safe street. The backyard is a beautiful place for morning coffee and reading the newspaper. And there is even a well designed outdoor shower for returning from the beach. Finally, Amy and Steve are very attentive but not intrusive. They always responded very quickly to any question and were very careful to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We would love to return soon!

perfect location; lovely house, inside and outside
We stayed in Jan 2021, and had an excellent time. The nice thing is that you can walk or bike to virtually everything: beach, post office, restaurants, supermarket, drug store, etc. Clearly the hosts have spent a long time thinking about the decorations in the house, which were quite lovely. The gardening in the back was also very enjoyable.
In short, what's not to like?

Great bungalow in a super location
This is a wonderful cottage! It is bright and cheerful and is fully stocked with every imaginable amenity. The kitchen is well designed for easy meal preparation. The bathroom is small but also well designed and nicely decorated. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and is the perfect place to just relax, have a cup of coffee or read a book. The location couldnt be better. Safe, quiet and a perfect place to walk. We thoroughly enjoyed this cottage.

Perfect Vacation!
We had a great stay at Steve & Amy's Parrot Cove house. The weather was in the 80s every day, a real vacation away from Mass. We used the beach chairs, boogie board, grill, bikes, outdoor shower, and patio table to make it a special week. Trips to the zoo, Delray Beach area, and Old Key Lime House were just a $2/per adult bus ride away. We explored the downtown restaurants and shops conveniently located a half mile away on Lucerne and Lake Ave. Great communication for questions during our stay and what we needed to pack/rent for our two small children. My daughter loved chasing butterflies around the back yard, sneaking around with the neighbor's cats, and looking for lizards. Highly recommend this house and if we are ever in the area again we would stay here.

A Sweet Little Cottage
This Parrot Cove cottage was perfect for our home away from home in February. The one issue that we had was immediately addressed by Steve and Amy. The only thing missing was the washer and dryer, which we knew was not available. It’s close to absolutely everything. It was our second year staying here. You cannot go wrong by renting this cute cottage from Steve and Amy.

We are first time VRBOers and this was awesome. Great house, great location, super nice neighbors, and great service to access the house. Steve's house is located blocks away from downtown Lake Worth that has great restaurants, a Publix, and CVS to take care of every need you have. We appreciated Steve's responsiveness to our questions that came up with knowing the area or regarding his house. Plus, Steve's house is located with easy access to the highway and inter coastal highway to access the coast easily to the north or south. You will really enjoy this house. It is well kept and maintained on the inside and outside. Really a great experience for our family from Minnesota.

A lovely cottage in a great location close to beach and shops
We enjoyed a week in this unique and well taken care of cottage. There was enough space, clean upon arrival and towels and bedding were of good quality. The owner clearly pays attention to detail in the house with basic kitchen and bathroom supplies taken care of. If anything we would recommend a bit more lighting in the kitchen area. The cottage is 5 minutes from the beach by car, but it can be walked as well. Grocery shop walking distance too. The patio is perfect for a late afternoon cocktail and appetizers. All appliances including BBQ and climate control were working as it should. We would definitely recommend this house for a family of 4! The owner also was quick to respond when we had a concern and they offered to mail an item we accidentally left behind to our home address. Great service!

So cozy and welcoming!
The neighborhood was great, near the village, golf, and beach. Flat and easy walking and biking. The house was cozy, with a large kitchen and dining room. Plenty of seating in main room and front entry for relaxing . Steve and Amy provided all we could need for feeling “at home”- cooking supplies, towels, etc. All with a beachy feel, so we knew we were on vacation! And Steve and Amy responded immediately when we had any questions! Looking forward to when they put a washing machine in so we can stay longer!!

A Great Stay
After staying for a month at Steve and Amy's home in Lake Worth, I can truly say that we thoroughly enjoyed it. The pictures on line accurately depict the house. It is very cute and comfortable. It had everything you could need, except for a washer and dryer, which we knew was not available (hopefully by next year it will be!). When we asked, in advance, if they had a blender, they must have gotten one, because we found a brand new one still in the box under one of the kitchen counters. Amy & Steve were extremely responsive to all of our inquiries/needs. They came to the house first thing the morning after one of their bicycles was almost stolen from the back yard, and installed a lock on the fence as well as on the bicycles. This is not to say that the area is susceptible to robberies. We found it to be very safe and welcoming by the neighbors that we met. You can easily walk to the downtown area as well as across the intracoastal waterway drawbridge. We never had a problem parking our car on the street. Amy & Steve also gave us a recommendation about what to do on a Saturday evening, which was Saturday Night Lights (an equestrian event) in Wellington, which was wonderful. I highly recommend their cute little house in Lake Worth. We have reserved it again for next year. Thank you again, Amy & Steve

Exceeded our expectations!
We were in Lake Worth for a family reunion and needed additional lodging for out-of-town relatives. Being familiar with the area we knew this location would be very convenient for guests, as it is in easy walking distance to a grocery store in addition to being close to the intracoastal and Lake Worth Beach. Additionally, the house is in a quiet, residential neighborhood, yet only a few blocks from downtown Lake Worth with numerous shops, restaurants, nightlife options, etc. The house itself is charming; being an older home it has character and architectural details not found in newer Florida homes, yet has been well-maintained with lovely furnishings, up-to-date kitchen, bath, and appliances. Added plusses include a delightful backyard garden with an outdoor shower (great after returning from the beach) and bicycles to ride along the intracoastal. The home was extremely clean and well-supplied with everything in good working order. I was not surprised by any of this, however, as hosts Steve and Amy were incredibly responsive from the start, providing prompt confirmation, detailed info, and clear instructions for accessing the property, often responding within a very few minutes. Thank you, Steve and Amy, for an exceptional VRBO experience!

Great House in an Adorable Neighborhood
The house is beautiful! Far exceeding our expectations. And it was immaculate. Within walking distance to the beach. We went running over the bridge to the beach every day. The owners were wonderful and attentive. The backyard is great for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Will definitely rent again!!!

Quaint quiet Key West Cottage
We stayed 4 nights at Amanda and Steve’s beautiful Key West cottage. It is incredibly tastefully redecorated in a beach house theme throughout. Old wooden floors, beautiful huge old bathroom sink - from Paris. Owners left a bottle of red wine and a sparkling white wine plus a huge bowl of fresh fruit. This was most appreciated and useful. Owners were most attentive to any questions.
The house is located really close to downtown - a 5-10 minute walk from shopping and a variety of really good restaurants etc. - in a very quiet neighbourhood. The front door has a combination lock which was so much better to use than looking after a key. There is a lovely landscaped front and back yard with a quiet sitting area in the back as well as an outdoor shower. There is a good selection of books and toys which our nephew really enjoyed playing with. We would like to give this 4.5 stars but can’t figure out how. Too bad only one bathroom.

Adorable bungalow for out of town guests
We could not have been more pleased with this charming home. We had out of town guests come and the house was the perfect place to gather. The dining room was perfectly suited for our get together and the kitchen was well-stocked. The décor is very tasteful and tropical. The backyard was also a wonderful place to gather and enjoy our morning coffee. We didn't get the chance to use the outdoor shower, but we thought it was a great addition. We were concerned that having only one bath would be a problem, but it was never really a problem. The bathroom door doesn't lock well though - so make sure you use the honor system.
Overall, I would highly recommend this adorable historic house to anyone coming to Lake Worth or the Palm Beaches! We will be using it again when company comes.
