This unit had all the essentials & conveniences for a wonderful vacation. Location is perfect, right on the beach and close to grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, shops etc.Beds were comfortable/kitchen had everything needed for cooking/towels, beach chairs & toys were provided. The unit could use some upgrades however..very outdated cupboards in kitchen & bathroom, sink has rust around the drain but otherwise it was clean & safe.

Condo provided a nice winter vacation.
Nice heated pool. We met warm and friendly people everywhere.

We enjoyed the area. There was a heated pool, tennis, shuffle board and the beach on our property. The surrounding area also offered many sightseeing opportunities and restaurants, etc.

The upper level was great for watching the sunsets and incoming storms. The stairs were rough for my older parent so I wouldn’t recommend for those with difficulty walking up stairs.
The air was great in the living room and kitchen, the bedrooms were a bit warm but with a fan it was doable.
The couches were super comfy.
If you cook the kitchen is small and has no working good but for a 2 weeks stay it was fine. I thifted whatever they didn’t have. Great thrift stores in the area.
The walls and floor are solid. No noise. It would rain and we could hear nothing.
They have a laundry building in the complex and this unit had a very small stackable washer and dryer. It got the job done but you can only put very little inside.
Minimal decor which was nice. It was not cluttered at all.
The bathroom is very outdated with a cute pink tile. The shower didn’t work very well. We had to use a pitcher to shower because only a squirt came out and it didn’t drain fast enough.
The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly.
No beach view but about a block walk to the beach through a private gate. You can drive and easily find parking right by the gate.
A great and powerful beach shower before coming back.
They have a pool and it was clean. No shade and very warm but a nice change from the beach once in a while.
Parking was super easy, no long walks to your car.
Conveniently close by is a Dollar Tree and Public’s supermarket.

Solis, Pastermack Property Manager, was instrumental in resolving our internet issue; we were without for 1 week. She also replaced the ceiling fan.
However we were extremely disappointed in the following:
-Torn screens on bedroom windows
-Bathroom totally unacceptable
—Drain and overflow in sink completely rusted
—-Tub appeared to have mold around caulking
—-Medicine cabinet wall rusty
—-Track on medicine cabinet door and vanity door was caked with dirt; had to dig it out with a knife
—-Vacuum cleaner canister was plugged full, had to use a knife to dig out dirt. Hose also plugged…had to use coat hanger to clear.
—-Cookware was greasy…had to wash before could use
—My wife and I developed a persistent cough within the first week while we were IN the condo. It got progressively worse during our month’s stay which prompted us to ask Solis about furnace filter. She came over the day before we left and checked the filter. When we took out the filter it was pitch black in color and completely plugged. The filter was replaced, but too little too late.
Solis did tell us that day that she had fired the cleaning company and had new people coming after we left.
Again, we want to stress how satisfied we were with Solis and what she did for us…

The bed was horrible, we brought our own air bed, at least there was room for a queen sized blow-up in The master bedroom. The twin beds were more doable than the full but not for a bad back! There needs to be a decent bed for a couple to sleep in!
The bathroom needs a lot of work. Rust in the sink was unacceptable. There was a reason they didn’t show it. Could use new tiles but the shower head was nice and it had hot water!
At least it was clean and the new floors were nice and it had been recently painted so with a little more updating it would be very nice but for the price it was easy to afford..
The pool was wonderful except the heater was broken for the first 2 weeks of our 6 week stay. Being so close the beach was wonderful. Location was great.

Quiet place. Poor beds, poor furnishings, poor communication with property manager.

The property manager did a fantastic job finding us a different condo. This one was deplorable.
Unit disgusting.
Property manager excellent.

Disappointed
As we arrived we were impressed with the Diplomat Condo Complex. It was well maintained and appeared to have everything we had been promised. But upon opening the door to the condo, unit 220/condo #24, we were struck with a musty smell, dirty stained floor and what I classify as filthy carpet. To be fair the review I had read stated that the carpet was a little dirty but it is definently beyond a little dirty. Checking the bathroom I found what appeared to be black mold along the top of the tub along the tile line.
My wife and I purchased cleaning supplies and carpet squares. We then spent two days cleaning and covering the nasty carpet with carpet squares. The sweeper was so full that I had to clean it before it could be used.
I contacted the condo management and they did refund us $25.00 for cleaning supplies. I sent the manager pictures of before and after cleaning but haven't heard a word in return. We could have been very satisfied, even though the condo was very dated, if it had just been clean. The Diplomat is truly a wonderful place to stay as long as you don't choose this unit.
In case you're wondering, I did try to cancel before our arrival because of covid but wasn't able to do so by VRBO policy. We did enjoy the beach, heated pool and the complex after we made the condo as acceptable as we possibly could. We were embarrassed to have our family and friends visit.

Second time at the Diplomat
The condos are showing their age—some more than others. But you're not paying Taj Mahal prices, either, so it works out fine. The beach is wonderful and the fishing was pretty good.

Quit building, grounds are well maintained
On the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Can't be the price. Would recommend.

Comfortable condo by the beach
Great month at the Diplomat. Condo was everything we needed for a great time in Cocoa Beach. Everything the owner supplied helped us enjoy our stay. Location was perfect! Condo could use some updating. Carpet was in rough shape but overall it was a great time! Seeing 2 rocket launches was a great plus! Would definitely come back again. Thanks

Besides the carpet being in need of replacement the place met our needs.
The Diplomat property was very nice, the pool was perfect and the area shopping was handy.

Top Location - simple Condominium
If you are looking for a cheap stay in a simple furnished condo, this might be your choice. We had everything we needed, except Wifi. But for that we had our own washer and dryer, what was very comfortable after long days at the beach.
The location in all is uniqe: near the pool, near the beach, near Banana River and also near Publix and Dollar Tree. Everything is reachable by foot in a few minutes.

If you are looking for and inexpensive long - stay 2 bedroom/1 bath rental that provides semiprivate access to the beautiful east coast side of Cocoa Beach, a nice pool, this fits the bill. If you also are looking for internet/Wi-Fi, cable TV, and modern decor, look for another rental. The unit is clean but the rugs, and paint have not been updated in quite some time. This rental suited most of our needs and even provided us with a washer & dryer in the condo. For internet, we purchased a hot spot and data plan from Wal-Mart (within 5 miles of the rental). The property management team was vey helpful. Everything you could possibly need is located nearby, often in walking distance. The property housed many units but was surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

Not happy with the unit
We really enjoyed the area. The condo complex was very nice. The unit was convenient to the pool and we really like being so close to the beach. The unit was in poor condition. The pictures was very dirty and the unit needed to be painted. Hooks hanging on the walls without pictures. Bathroom was very outdated ,sink was rusty. No cable or internet, which was are fault for not asking. After talking with several other winter renters we paid severa l hundred dollars more than them. Would stay in the cinmpkwx again just not this unit.

Clean accomodatios at the beach
This is a second floor, two bedroom condo. It was well equipped unit. The complex is directly on the ocean, but this unit was several buildings away. It was located very close to the pool. Also there was a Publix grocery store, drug store, Dollar Tree and Subway just across the street. Very convenient. All in all, a cost effective way to spend two months at the beach.
