Nice and cozy. Would have loved the bathroom in the bedroom area.

My fiancé and I wanted a weekend break from wedding planning, and this provided just what we were looking for! Accessible views of the water from the balcony with access to a fishing pier, just a few minutes' drive from the Kemah Boardwalk and relatively easy to find!
We would both recommend this for a couple looking for a little escape from it all!

This is a darling cottage, with lovely appointments, we loved the master bedroom with enough space to get ready in the evening for dinners out. Quiet, secluded and perfectly peaceful! Will stay again!!!

Loved the wood beams and ceilings downstairs and wood floors upstairs. Only bath on first floor with only bedroom on second floor was a bit challenging but the access to very nice deck on the bay made it worth it. Would go back if circumstance presented itself.

Short stay at an efficient tiny house. A/c runs continually so be prepared. Views are amazing from the front of the big house.

We had a very relaxing stay here. The owners were very easy to get ahold of. The coffee maker stopped working and they replaced it immediately. It is beautiful inside and out. Highly recommend this property.

Enjoyed the peacefulness and comfort of this property.

it was a complete rainout - i got to stay one night and then it flooded, I could barely get out of the cottage to get in my car and leave, I would have really appreciated if the owner would have refunded at least a partial amount.

Absolutely loved the location of the property. The cottage was very clean and cozy. We had the run of their deck in the front of the house right on the water. Enjoyed having coffee out there in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening just listening to the waves. Very relaxing…just what we were looking for. The actual place we stayed was a cute cottage behind the main house. It has a balcony outside the bedroom and when we weren’t on the main deck we were sitting on the balcony of the cottage. I will say the downstairs is not as large as we thought it would be. Not really room to stretch out and watch tv but we were either relaxing on the main house’s deck or out enjoying the area.

We enjoyed our stay at La Petit Maison and will cherish the memories for years to come. The host was welcoming, communicative and informative. Everything was as described and the place was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We also enjoyed the Rusty Hook grill, just around the corner from the cottage. Additionally we appreciated being only minutes away in drive time to Kemah Boardwalk and NASA Space Center.

The location is perfect! It's only about a 6 minute drive to Kemah and about 25 minutes to Galveston. The cottage is actually located just behind the main house. There is a deck off of the bedroom upstairs that has a nice view of the Bay. And if you walk by the side of the main house there is a beautiful Deck with lounge chairs that overlooks a fantastic view of the Bay! We were very pleased with our stay!

The property is as described. It was my error in thinking that our lodging was directly on the water. The cottage is located behind the house which is on the water. Just a short walk on the side of the house to the large patio located waterfront.
Opening the front door, you walk into one compact room, which is the living room, dining room and kitchen all in one. Small couch, coffee table (which lifts up to make a small dining table), and kitchen area.
The bedroom upstairs is very large. There is a small balcony off the bedroom with view of water.
There is an A/C unit in each room.
Hosts were in communication, making sure we were taken care of.

Cottage is quaint, but really small.

We had to cancel an RV trip due to brake problems and found this little gem just south of Kemah. The hosts provided us lots of good info on things to do and where to eat. When we had questions about the cottage, they responded with helpful answers very quickly. The location was great and we spent lots of time on the balcony and the patio, reading and watching Galveston Bay. We enjoyed our stay and heartily recommend it.

Beautiful neighborhood with mature oak trees. Stunning sunrise over the bay. I sat at the end of the pier (brought my own folding chair) for a glorious morning show of gulls hunting for breakfast, baitfish flying out of the water fleeing from predators below. I even saw a few dolphins the first morning! All this can be seen from the deck as well, but I really enjoyed the full immersion experience the second day.
To close out the evening there was a dragonfly parade, thousands of the largest dragonflies I have ever seen, gliding along above the shoreline eradicating tens of thousands of mosquitoes. Thankful for that!

This place was perfect for the two of us. We just wanted to get away and have a quiet and relaxing weekend. Everything was wonderful and we had very quick response from the property manager. We enjoyed our stay greatly and would recommend to others. Thank you for the wonderful and quiet vacation!

We had a wonderful time in Bacliff. This place had everything we needed. Would stay her again if we return to the area.

I loved the house and bay view from the house as well as the sun deck that was for guests’ exclusive use. The wetland bird viewing was alone worth 5 stars! The decorations in the Maison Petit were cheerful and beachy. The 3 AC units meant the house was blissfully cool. The king sized bed was very comfortable! Books were read, Netflix watched, and naps were taken. The owners were kind and prompt to respond. I thoroughly enjoyed my getaway!
If there was one thing I wish I’d known, it was that there was no private grassy area on which my nosy lil dog could relieve herself. I’d had to walk her around the neighborhood, which I’d do anyway, but relying on the walks for potty time meant that she was distracted by any person, car, squirrel, bird, or dog she saw. And that two walks a day turned into 10 walks a day. That was tough, especially during the boiling afternoons!
Would def return…after I booked a dog sitter or when temperatures are cooler! Enjoy!

Just a quick anniversary trip.. was expecting a private balcony but realized it was not part of the rental but belonged to the owner's. Maybe didn't read that part, was a bit disappointed and felt weird accessing a shared area. It's a cute small cottage. The owners were super nice and communicative. Thanks!

Very clean, compact and cute. You can see the water from the room. The Host was extremely helpful. We would love to stay again but longer next time. We were too busy to enjoy the lounge chairs. Next time maybe.

The property was clean, comfortable and relaxing. It's close to everything we needed, but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. Loved having access to the lower balcony to appreciate the water.

My wife and I were visiting from the UK, dividing our time between Lake Conroe and the Bay.
We chose this property for its convenience to NASA, Galveston and the city.
The location is quiet, parking was easy (for a mid sized car) and all you need is within easy reach.
Living in the UK, we don't have the same expectations of space so it was perfectly adequate for us but it is fair to say it is "cozy".
As seniors, the bedroom and bathroom being on different floors wasn't ideal but we knew that beforehand which is key.
The view from the little balcony off the bedroom was great and during our short stay we were able to enjoy the fireworks from Kemah, a "Strawberry" moon and a very lively 2am thunderstorm!
You have your privacy but with the knowledge that the owners are close by if you need anything.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
PS..... Just one thing that might need updating are the wifi instructions so that they take account of connectivity for phones and tablets (unless I was reading the wrong handout) but we managed by checking the details on the router itself and that worked fine.

My husband and I were married the day we checked in to the home and were very happy with our choice of accommodations after our wedding! Accessing the property was super easy and when you get in, it is like you're at home. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful escape close to the water!

This property was very clean, cute and well taken care of. Just a couple of things to note about it - the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs so that's a little rough in the middle of the night. The living area downstairs with kitchen would be hard to use so we didn't since it's such a tight space . Also, it has window units as A/C and when we got there they weren't on so we had to wait a bit for it to cool down. It's a very nice place but just really not user friendly. That really the only reason why I gave it 3 stars. Host was very nice and it was very clean - just too tight.

The space is small but cozy. Everything you need is here. Tight quarters throughout but I would rent again if I had a compact car for parking

Great fishing. Loved the private pier!!! This was such a great location with a beautiful view and soooo many nearby delicious restaurants to choose from! The space is small, but didn't mind a bit. Perfect for what we were looking for. Well worth the price!!!!
