About this apartment rental
Ka'anapali's finest beachfront setting, 1/2 mile north of Black Rock. A prime location near shopping and activities. Our fully equipped, ocean view studio condo, A-517 is located on the 5th floor of the Aloha Tower, and is accessible by elevator. Thermostatically controlled, Central Air Conditioning, cools the unit. Our condo has a comfortable King Bed with new mattress, and a new Queen pull-out sofa bed. It has been recently remodeled to include new stainless steel kitchen appliances, drapes, carpet and paint. The Resort is set on 11 acres of exotic tropical gardens, along one of the finest stretches of Ka'anapali Beach. Swim, snorkel, paddle, or sail directly off our white sand beach in warm, crystal-clear turquoise water. Lounge by two adult swimming pools, kiddie pool, or spas, with cocktail and food service from our on-site, full service restaurant, Castaway. Relax in chaises under the trees on the peaceful lawn adjacent to the beach, or grab our beach umbrella and chairs and sink your toes into the sand. Spot Humpback whales directly from shore between November and March. Golf at any of four nearby championship golf courses, or play next door at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Club. Ride the "Free Green Ka'anapali Trolley" to shopping, restaurants, and hotels for entertainment or luaus just south of Black Rock. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or the most important meal of the day, 'Happy Hour', at the full service Castaway Restaurant, situated beachfront. Or, simply, sip a glass of wine on our lanai as you watch the sun set over the ocean after another perfect day in paradise.

Our policy allows cancellation outside a 60-day period prior to arrival, with an immediate refund less a 10% cancellation fee of the total reservation amount. Any cancellations made within the 60-day period without sufficient notice may result in forfeiture of deposit. Owner will make every attempt to re-book the property. Should owner succeed in re-booking this time frame, we'll be glad to refund any pro-rata share, less the 10% cancellation fee of the total reservation amount. Maui Ka’anapali Villas, (MKV), charges a daily fee of $35.00 plus tax which includes a package of amenities including; parking for one vehicle, WiFi and internet (in room, poolside & beachfront), daily morning coffee & tea, local phone calls, beach & pool towels, use of state of the art Pre-Cor fitness center, access to coin-op laundry facility, 2 pools & hot tubs, BBQ’s, shuffleboard, oceanfront water aerobics classes, access to hospitality restrooms for early arrival and late departures, and rides on the “Free Green Ka’anapali Trolley” which travels to the larger hotels, restaurants and shopping south of Black Rock. The daily facility fee & tax for the stay is paid to and collected at check-in by the front desk and is at a cost of $41.29 daily per unit. Our condo is professionally cleaned and sanitized by trained housekeeping and maintenance staff according to CDC guidelines and recommendations. Complete systematic cleaning protocols between guests guarantee no cross-contamination. Wearing gloves, they use hospital-grade, EPA approved disinfectants. All surfaces are sanitized, and all linens are processed in commercial, high-temperature washers and dryers. Only one staff member at a time who has been verified with no signs of illness, is allowed to be present in the condo. While undergoing cleaning, the windows are opened to provide maximum ventilation. After the condo has undergone cleaning and sanitizing, it is inspected by the head-housekeeper to insure all guidelines and protocols have been completed.

Barbara's condo. She is quick to respond and is extremely helpful.
The condo itself has everything you'd need for your beach vacation including beach chairs, snorkel masks, etc. and the resort is ideal in that it is located along the beach boardwalk so walking to other resorts, restaurants, bars, etc., is easy and scenic. The resort itself is quaint and has all one could ask for including a lei greeting upon check in, free am coffee, and a beach side restaurant! The staff is very friendly.
One thing that I did not pick up on when researching, was that the condo lanai is only about 2' wide, but there is a beautiful dining set immediately adjacent to the large sliding doors so you almost feel as thou you are outdoors. And the view is beautiful. I loved the rattan furnishings and the beautiful local art on the walls. We tried to extend our stay but sadly the condo was already rented out...

We love Maui Kaanapali Villas, and have stayed there many times. This is the first time we rented a unit more than once as the view is so amazing. Maui is in the process of recovering, and we felt very welcome. Awed to see and hear about the recovery and what happened to so many people with the fire last August. Several local people said the tourists are needed now, and there were fewer tourists than usual. We had a great time!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this condo and resort! The ocean view from the condo is exactly as pictured on the photographs and I loved waking up to it every morning and eating breakfast on the small balcony. The location and beach cannot be beat! We loved how close it was to everything in West Maui and enjoyed snorkeling right outside the resort. The resort is lush and beautiful and the pool/lounge chairs were never crowded. I would definitely recommend this property!

We had the pleasure of staying at Barbara's VRBO in Maui Kanaapali Villas, and we cannot express what a great experience it was.
The unit has breathtaking panoramic views of the azure ocean and lush greenery from the comfort of the private balcony. Situated in a convenient prime location - steps to the beach, short drive to shops and grocery stores.
Barbara was a great host, ensuring we enjoyed our stay and that everything was satisfying. We felt like valued guests, and her responsiveness to any queries or requests further enhanced our overall satisfaction.
Our nine-day stay was a great experience, from the stunning location and well-appointed accommodations to the exceptional hospitality of the host.

The resort itself is amazing, we enjoyed having the coffee ready in the lobby first thing in the morning and seeing all the friendly staff. The pools are spacious and warm and the landscaping impeccable. The adjacent beach is the best on the island. The condo has an amazing view of the ocean and had everything we needed. Barbara is quick to respond to any email and any question. It is obvious she wants your vacation to be as seamless as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend her and plan on returning next year.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Barbara’s unit. The unit was very clean, was just as advertised, and we felt comfortable and welcomed at all times. In our short time in Maui, we made many connections with staff members who were most kind and hospitable. The unit itself had everything that we needed (comfortable beds, tv, wifi, full kitchen with everything needed for cooking or keeping left over food in containers, double bathroom sinks and a shower/bathtub with good pressure and hot water). Barbara herself was an excellent communicator and we feel blessed and very lucky to have made her acquaintance through the booking and staying process. Without a doubt, we would book another trip to Maui and we would absolutely book with Barbara again. The Kaanapali beach that the unit is located next to is a beautiful beach (we feel it is one of the nicest beaches in Maui that allows for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and whale and turtle watching). The location is also close to restaurants and Whalers Village that is all within walking distance. We can’t wait to go back!!!

Great condo for us to stay in Maui. Footsteps to the beach and a nice pool and hot tub to relax all day. The condo itself is nice; me and my wife and 2 girls were able to squeeze in and had enough room to hangout. The pullout bed is big enough for two small children, I wouldn’t recommend it for two children over age 12. The condo also has beach chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear which we enjoyed. The Maui Kaanapali Villas were not too big, but big enough to feel like a really nice overall experience.

This condo had the perfect layout and was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed including a nice, full kitchen and extras including baking trays for heating up cookies (!) and beach chairs/umbrella to take to the beach. The view was amazing, with great views of the ocean and grounds. The property at Maui Kaanapali Villas is right on Kaanapali Beach -- gorgeous with beautiful landscaping and flowers, a warm pool that stays open late, and shuffleboard. Located right on the beach walk makes this an ideal location. Host was friendly and helpful and made the reservation process smooth and ideal.

This property is part of the MKV resort, which means that you get all the convenience of staying in a resort/hotel. The resort is just a short 3 minute walk from the beach, and the unit itself has an ocean view. I have no complaints about my stay - it was perfect. The host was very helpful and provided clear and professional instructions for the check-in process, which made my first time Vrbo experience very smooth. She also went above and beyond to accommodate our request for an early check-in, which really put our minds at ease even though we ended up not needing it due to a delayed flight. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this property.

We just got back from our 10 night stay and it was truly the best vacation I've had on Maui to date. That's saying a lot because my previous experiences were also very good.
Barbara is definitely an exceptional host. Even with a small blip (that was 100% out of her control), Barbara was quick to reply and extremely concerned about said blip. We couldn't have asked for anything more from the property or Barbara.
The Condo was perfect for our family of three and had everything we needed right down to spices and beach toys.
Not to mention the view! What a treat to wake up to that every morning. The property grounds are so picturesque and the ocean view was so much more than we expected.
We can only hope to be able to stay in this condo again! :)

I would come back to this unit in a heart beat!!!The only reason I gave this unit a 4 was the bathroom needs updating. I think it is the original from the 60's. We got instant reply from the owners any time we had a question and was handled immediately. You can't get any better than that. This unit was very spacious for a studio with full kitchen. The balcony has just enough room for chairs to sit out and have your morning coffee with morning shade facing the ocean. (my favorite part of the unit) The property has a little restaurant that has a great breakfast and bar. The beach is RIGHT THERE!! You walk to the right about 5 minutes and you are at airport beach with amazing snorkeling. Do not hesitate to book this unit. Thank you so much Barbara and Howard for your hospitality. Oh, also best massage ever from Olivia and Maryse.

This was our first stay at this condo but it won't be our last. The condo is located just north of the main Kaanapali condo row and away from its associated crowds yet within a 20 minute walk if you like that sort of thing. The restaurant on site was fantastic (we had breakfasts, lunches and dinners there). There is small market within a 10 minute walk and a full grocery store within a 20 min walk. Instacart also delivers to this condo (which we used as well). The beach rental shack was also great (we used it all week) and much cheaper than nearby locations. The unit is owner managed and the owners were super responsive and communicated really well. Can't wait to stay here again.

This is the perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. It’s tucked in by larger resorts but has a smaller less crowded feel. The beach is beautiful and Lon crowds. The resort has beautiful grounds, pool and a delicious cafe!

We had a great stay here. The view was beautiful and the room was spacious enough for our family of 4. We didn't really use the kitchen but it was nice to have that option available. The amenities in the room and on the property were great!

This location was amazing, right on the beach - and the staff/checking process was very easy. Communication with the host was easy and convenient, and they even provided a list of suggestions prior to arriving. Not a single issue when checking in or with communications with the host. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the complex, and out of all the beaches we visited on Maui, this was our favorite. If you are looking for various restaurants or places to have drinks, you will have to drive about 10 minutes, which was never an issue for us. Overall highly recommended!
