About this house rental
Fantastic beach-side home! This home is located on the east side of A1A, so is a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach without having to cross any major roads or traffic. It has a fully fenced back yard with a covered back porch. The pool deck is large and perfect for family together time!
This well cared for home features five bedrooms, two full baths and a half bath. The open floor plan features tall ceilings and great flow from the eat-in kitchen to the great room and into the dining area. The living room has a large smart television. The master suite features a large closet, a large bath, also has a television and has a wonderful East facing covered front porch.
There are bicycles for rent, as well, nearby. Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 minutes north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! You will want to return year after year!
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought on this island about 7 miles south. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
EV Charging: There is a fee of $5 per day if you will be charging an electric vehicle at the home.

We recently had a fantastic family beach vacation in Florida, and even though we faced daily rain, our trip was a memorable one.
The property exceeded our expectations in many ways. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless, which set the tone for a stress-free stay. Its location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, and close to downtown St. Augustine with its charming shops and historic sites. We also appreciated the proximity to grocery stores, making it easy to pick up essentials and snacks.
One of the highlights of the property was the open dining and living room area. It quickly became the heart of our vacation, where we enjoyed countless board game sessions and family meals. The space was comfortable and inviting, making rainy days feel like cozy opportunities for indoor fun.
The kitchen was another standout feature. It was well-stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and basic seasonings, which made cooking our own meals both easy and enjoyable. This thoughtful setup allowed us to prepare delicious family dinners and fully enjoy the time we spent together.
Overall, our vacation was a great success. Despite the rain, the combination of a well-equipped property, convenient location, and quality family time made for an unforgettable trip. We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway, no matter the weather!

A college reunion with 4 of my sorority sisters brought us to Villa Elena. Check in was a breeze. David and Patti communicated with me every step of the way. It’s so nice to have owners available to answer questions or give suggestions when needed.
The house is exactly as described. Very clean and beautifully decorated.
A short walk to a beautiful beach or a lovely pool to swim in or lounge around.
The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for meals and watching TV.
They supplied lots of towels as well as beach towels that were very nice to have.
We Ubered into the city to enjoy the sights.
I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place close to the beach in a friendly neighborhood.

This was the most memorable vacation of our lifetime! My siblings and I range in age from 57 to 74. The seven of us reunited under the same roof together for a week stay in this beautiful home. It is conveniently located to a private beach, all shopping needs, wonderful restaurants and all the amenities you would need. We enjoyed the wonderful pool and spa and created priceless memories together. The host was always available to us. Would definitely recommend this home for your vacation.

Enjoyed the house and its proximity to the beach. Great place to stay with a pool that is comfortable for families.

This property was wonderful! David was informative and very responsive. The home was only 10 - 15 minutes from downtown and there was so much to do in St Augustine. The neighborhood was quiet and in a nice area that was a short walk to the beach. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and the house was clean and the owners made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The pool was our favorite place to be. It is larger than most pools at vacation rentals and it was also well kept. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book this property in the future. Thank you David and Patti for sharing your wonderful home with us! We highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay at this home. Ticked all the boxes, space, pool, beach, and location. Communication was great with owners and property managers. Wish there was downstairs bath/shower. Slight inconvenience, especially for elderly guests. Recommend the stay otherwise

We had a great time staying at this location. It's only 2 blocks from the beach and the house is so nice! We did have an issue with the air-conditioning on the second floor when we first arrived, which was late afternoon. After adjusting the thermostat and waiting, the temp did not go down, but slightly up. So, I got in touch with the owner and they sent a technician the very next morning. When we got back from the beach, the second floor was cool and everything was taken care of. I had a few questions here and there, and the owner responded right away with answers. The entire family loved the pool outside the back door. We enjoyed it every day we were there (and the sauna). If we return to Butler Beach, I would definitely want to stay here again and recommend it to everyone. Great owners, great location, great house!

Easy walk to beach in a great area;pool and pool area well designed;pantry layout excellent for easy selection of our foods. But there was not enough silverware (resorted to plastic) or towels; the dryer took way too long to dry things; one of the bedroom doors on 1st floor level didn't close and old grill should be removed as it's location is safety hazard.

The home was beautiful, exactly as described and very clean upon arrival. We had great communication with the owners throughout our stay. It was the ideal getaway for our family.

My family, adult kids, spouses, and grandkids, thoroughly enjoyed this spacious house with an incredible pool and patio area. The kitchen is very large with gas burners and a large pantry to accommodate a big group. The furnishings are comfortable but show their age. The beach is a short 5-7 min. walk to a new boardwalk over the dunes to get to the beach. The beach is wonderful with very low tides exposing huge beaches and was never once crowded the whole week. Grocery stores, restaurants, and activities (tennis, pickleball, putt putt,..) are all within a 5-10 min drive.
You will definitely enjoy St Augustine and these accommodations.

The house was very nice. Loved the pool and only a short walk to the beach. The 10-month-old babies loved the space to crawl around. Would have been nice to have a shower on the main level but wasn't a big deal for us being in good shape, was able to climb stairs.

Great house with plenty of space! The kids (and adults) absolutely loved the pool! Short walk to the beach and short drive into historic St Augustine. The fort is a must see! There are grocery stores right close by, as well as many restaurant options. We all agreed we would stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this great home. Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids had plenty of room. David is a very responsive host. We had a couple of questions and he responded immediately. We will definitely plan a return trip in the future. Home is very close to the beach and many restaurants. A short trip to downtown Old St. Augustine.

Great house with plenty of space and rooms for our group of 8. Walk to the beach was so close and convenient. Pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Also convenience to Publix and restaurants was very nice. Host was very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

A great mini vacation! The house was very nice and spacious. Anytime I had questions, the hosts responded immediately. They were available for anything I needed. The house is literally a couple blocks to the beach. Or get in the pool in the back yard. Friendly neighbors as well. Will definitely use this house again!

We all had a GREAT VACATION at the "Elena" 5 bd VRBO house. St Augustine is not hot this time of year, but it's very busy. We made a great investment paying to heat the pool for our stay. The beach is a very short walk away. This house was comfortable for all of us. With the grandkids we were washing clothes almost every day in the large washer & dryer on the second level. There is a smart TV in the living room. We were able sign-in to our streaming services as well to video games. There are plenty of attractions, restaurants and food stores nearby. We were happy we made many reservations before we got here.
David is a Great host !

We were happy with the location, close walk to a beautiful beach. Short drive to local attractions. We would definitely stay again.

The house was very big with a nice floor plan so we had a lot of space for our group. Everyone had their own room and there were plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen allowed us to prepare breakfast and lunch so we saved some money on eating out for every meal. The keypad lock on the door made it easy to come and go without worrying about getting locked out. A book with suggestions for local attractions and restaurants was super helpful and we loved the 5 minute walk to the beach! Even my 83 year old mother made the walk easily. We had a nice family reunion.

We had a wonderful stay. This home was well equipped and in the perfect location for a quick walk to beautiful Butler Beach. David was very communicative and super friendly. Located in a nice quiet neighborhood (sitting at the gorgeous and immaculate pool, you can hear the traffic but inside was relatively quiet) Our family really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend. Plenty of room to relax. Thanks again!

Nice and clean property with wonderful owners. Great location for a golf retreat, beach time or a visit to historic St Augustine.

House was comfortable for a large family and was convenient to the beach. Pool and spa were very nice. Only a few small observations. The hot water for the master bathtub did not seem to work, the kitchen dishes, pots and pans were limited and aged and there was no shampoo/conditioner or bath soap (not even travel size) available. Overall, I would book again.

Five Stars - Home is beautiful, welcoming, relaxing, and clean. It was perfect for a group of seven friends that hadn't seen each other for 40 years to be together and reminisce. Five big bedrooms. Large kitchen provided plenty of space and everything needed to prepare big meals. Short 5 min walk (2 blocks) to the beach was perfect, followed by a nice dip in the pool. Plenty of outdoor seating. Out of town feel, yet close enough for convenience. Check in and out was seamless, property managers easy to communicate with if needed. We had no issues at this house. Definitely would book again, and Definitely recommend this home.

The house was great. The walk to the beach was not long or difficult. The pool was nice but not used as much as we would have liked because of weather. We had 8 adults and three children so a full bath downstairs would have helped. Overall a great stay that I would recommend!

Great propety and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space.

We traveled to St Augustine for a family wedding. The house was perfect. Short drive to all sites. Easy walk to the beach. Beautiful pool
Would rent again if we come back to town.

Spacious home with AMAZING pool and walking distance to beach (private neighborhood boardwalk with minimal people using beach). Very clean and stocked with supplies. Communication with host is excellent! Short drive to a lot of restaurants, shops, and activities. Quiet neighborhood and only minutes from historic St. Augustine. Wonderful stay for my family of four but so much space for several families to stay. Recommend Oasis restaurant and Paladar Eatery nearby. A ton of nearby ice cream shops.

Proximity to beach was great - loved driving my truck on to bring all our stuff :)
Kids loved the pool and the space. House was as described. Host was prompt to respond and reasonable. No shower downstairs with two bedrooms was the only thing we had to work around, but really not a big deal when all was said and done and something you can tell by looking through the photos in the listing. Would stay there again or recommend to a friend.

This house was perfect for our stay. The children loved the pool. The house was only 2 blocks from the beach and if the weather had been a little better would have been enjoyed a lot more. House was spotless. Only 2 downsides, my elderly parents can’t do stairs, so we made sure to find out if their were downstairs bedrooms. But I forgot to ask about bathrooms. The only bathroom downstairs was a half bath. Issue 2, we were a group of 10, and I was surprised to read on the website that the house was only fitted with 10 wash rags for baths. If the house can sleep 10, it should have minimum supplies for 10. Luckily I only live 2 hrs away and it was easy to bring wash clothes of my own. Also found other supplies like trash bags and dishwasher soap a bit sparse. If I was flying to visit St Augustine and staying more than a few days, I would be put off by having to use my luggage space or money to supply these items especially considering the cost of these rentals.

We had an amazing family beach vacation. The house is beautiful and is within walking distance to the beach. It has ample space for the whole family. We were able to enjoy family time in the pool when not at the beach. The owners are very pleasant and communication before and during stay is excellent. We truly enjoyed the house and location. We would definitely recommend and be returning. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

The stay was wonderful, the house was relaxing, we loved the pool. The location to the beach was great. Wish there was some provided beach chairs or beach things. Also tish the Hot tub temperatures could be warmer and the jets to turn on stronger. But honestly it was wonderful.

The house is beautiful!! Very spacious for our family of 8. The beach was a little far of a walk, we did it 1 time and that did us in..lol
The only complaint we have is that the beds in all of the bedrooms were very uncomfortable and hard!! They really need to be updated. But other than that this house is gorgeous 😍

Nice house, as described, roomy, clean and the pool was great fun. Close to beach and boardwalk. Our family enjoyed it! Host very attentive, kind, and helpful.

This property has plenty of rooms and was very clean. The pool was a perfect size for our family of 8. It is right around the corner from the beach. The property owner was quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay.

Close to the beach to catch a great sunrise and a quiet place to stay from the city. Awesome experience

The house worked out perfectly for a busy week of sight seeing, kayaking, playing on the beach, and most importantly the wedding activities. St Augustine is a friendly town for dinning and shopping while taking in its history.
