Enter through the side door into the hallway with coat storage. To your left are the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom with twin 2ft6 singles which can be joined to make a king if requested. There is also another shower room with jack-and-jill doors.
To the right is the open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with large corner leather sofa, with bifold doors to the deck with rattan round table and seating for 4, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside on the boules court.
We leave a few games for our guests to use.
There is a smart TV in the living room and further TVs in both bedrooms.
The log burner makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.
Parking for 2 cars side by side behind the house too.

A really pleasant & comfortable accommodation. Have stayed at The Bay before & would definitely go back.

We were delighted with the lodge, it was very clean and comfortable. We only had a couple of problems which were quickly sorted.
The only fault was that there were no instruction manuals for any of the appliances, so using the oven was guess work.

Delightful lodge, peaceful location, bijoux but fully equipped. Plenty of room for us as a couple with one spaniel.
Adored the bifolds opening onto decked area which has a quiet aspect overlooking a small boules/garden area. Despite it being March, we managed to sit outside with a glass of something on 2 of the days. Would be fab in summer.
Lounge/dining area worked well because the corner sofa defined both areas providing seating for 4 adults comfortably.
Short walk to leisure centre. Enjoyed the pool which wasn't particularly busy at this time of year.

This is our second visit to The Bay and again we really enjoyed our stay. The chalet is in a quiet location but near to the centre of the village and the swimming pool. Parking right outside the chalet is a real bonus for loading and unloading on arrival/departure. The chalet was lovely and warm and had everything we needed for a short stay. We also thought the boules was a nice touch as the boules court is right outside the chalet. We will definitely visit again - Thank you!

Another lovely stay at the Bay. This was our 4th time there but 1st time staying at Blue Anchor. Every place we have stayed has been clean, comfy, good location and this was no different. Beds were lovely and comfy, kids liked their own little room sharing together. Games for the children to play with and a little welcome pack when we got there was great. It was very quiet, Didn't hear anyone else but only a 3 minute walk to the pool! Would definitely recommend.

Lovely accommodation,, everything you need in a property but beds/mattresses so uncomfortable to the point we considered leaving a night early.
It appears a lot of properties put in all good features, decor etc but you go to bed and poor beds/matress. When I go on holiday I go to rest and not been able to sleep waking with back ache doesn’t give a restful holiday.

We decided to have a winter break away. Our intention was to have a cosy few days. The chalet did not disappoint. It was so warm and welcoming.
The beds were super comfy and everything was in the chalet that we needed. There weee clear instructions for everything should we have needed them.
The whole experience was great. We will be booking for next year so my daughter and I can have another week away together.

Back from a lovely winter short break at Blue Anchor Retreat. Great accommodation in a quiet location. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lots of winter walks on the beach with the dog and cosy pubs. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely holiday in this nicely positioned, well maintained, comfortable property. Paula responded quickly to any queries.

The property was as advertised, comfortable and well situated. However, we were inundated with flies in the property, mainly on the Friday and Saturday. Which was unpleasant. When we arrived back to the accommodation on the Saturday afternoon some fly spray had been wedged in the outside door handle which did help.
The choice of a wooden framed bed meant the already cramped rooms had less space, and meant that when maneuvering around the room it was very easy, and painful, to catch your leg on the corner of the frame.
We did enjoy our stay, and the property was well suited to our young grandson.

The accommodation was excellent, it provided everything we needed.
The Bay Filey complex is very impressive and there are so many different types of accommodation to suit everyones requirements.
The location next the beach cannot be beaten. There is an excellent bus service nearby, no need to use the car.
Our booking through Filey Bay Direct was extremely professional and friendly.
Hopefully will be back next year.

We have stayed at the bay before and with it being only a 5 minute walk or so to the beach the location is perfect for us and only takes about 20 minutes to walk into Filey.
The swimming pool is open and there are hour time slots to book. We did go once but cancelled the second slot because it's hard to swim and socially distance at the same time.
The property itself maybe could do with a little tlc in places but it was cosy and the fire was very welcome after chilly walks on the beach.
Unfortunately we had alot of rain when we visited but we were just happy to chill out by the fire, read, play board games or watch tv. The freeview signal was very poor though and made watching the tv a bit difficult and the WiFi was constantly dropping all the time. Usually this wouldn't bother us but because the weather was so wet it was a bit of a pain.
The beds are so comfortable we didn't want to get out of them and there's more or less everything you need in the kitchen apart from we couldn't find a mixing bowl to make pancakes (it was our daughters 12th birthday) but we found everything else we needed.
Overall we had a very relaxing time and we will be back to the Bay again.

Very lovely. Quite enjoyed the property and the amenities of the larger property! Nearby towns also lovely.
Need a car, no taxi service here.

Excellent few days, clean tidy and felt homely.
Beautiful location.
Only negative experience we had was when we went to have dinner in the John Paul Jones pub, we found a table in the rear selection as all other tables were full, then to be told they didn't serve food in that area after 17.00hrs. Having only just arrived after a long journey we had to get back in the car and go searching for food not the best with 2 small kids.
We will be back.
