About this house rental
The Grand Canyon Riverhouse is conveniently located just outside of downtown Flagstaff in a rural neighborhood within a 7 minute drive to the downtown. There is a trail from the neighborhood that connects all neighbors to the Arizona Trail Wilderness where deep canyons, and wildlife thrive. Many times a year Elk roam through the neighborhood. The Cross Country skiing out the back of the neighborhood and on the AZ Trail is incredible. Consequently the Mountain Biking is world class:)
Also within minutes is Lake Mary among other lakes where one can fish, view wildlife like Elk, Bald Eagles, Osprey and Blue Herons. A few of the other lakes nearby are Ashurst, Mormon Lake, Kinnikinnic, and Blue Ridge Reservoir. We rent out canoes, sit on top kayaks, and stand up paddle boards if you would like to spend a day on one of the mountain lakes.
The AZ Trail also links to the downtown area:), for great dining and entertainment. We highly suggest visiting the Musuem of Northern AZ, AZ Snowbowl Skiing, Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, Wupatki National Monument, Sedona, and of course the Grand Canyon!
The Grand Canyon Riverhouse is NOT full of pricey cosmetically valuable items. Too many people stay here, it gets used. It is not on the golf course, the yard survives as the weather provides much like the rest of the neighborhood. There is WIFI, and a TV with a DVD, and games to encourage interaction. The Riverhouse is unlike a pricey 5 star resort. There is no fine china, just the normal digs of Grandma's house. If your group is looking for high end accomodations this is not it. Watch the Video, just a big normal house at a great price.

My family rented this VRBO property for a wedding up in flagstaff. Beautiful house and so accommodating with a large group. The house was clean and organized. We were even able to check in a couple hours early to be ready for the wedding. Thank you for a great place to stay. Strongly recommend.

There was plenty of space for the 8 of us. The reviews and information were accurate and was basic but I mean that in a good way. It felt like we were at one of our family’s home. We would definately stay again in a heartbeat. The only two things was we could not find any washcloths and the dining room table with the benches was not comfortable but I get it due to space and large groups. I would highly recommend this home.

Nice property although it could use more things such as towels, paper towels and trash bags they where very limited

Great place if you are looking for a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms. No surprises. One of many times we have rented this house.

My family stayed here for my daughters graduation from NAU. Everyone had a bed to sleep on and we were all pretty comfortable. It was a little warm upstairs at night, but there were ceiling fans in every room which helped a lot. The owner was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we needed help with the TV and needed more toilet paper. The house was just as described, "not a 5 star resort. just the normal digs of grandma's house." If you're not used to the dark sky's of Flagstaff, it can feel scary at night, but otherwise the location was perfect. We were able to avoid the traffic of the busy weekend and it was 15min or less to get anywhere in Flagstaff.

We had a wonderful time due to the way the owners of this property accommodated us and were there to help out during our stay. Brady cleared the snow from the driveway and streets to ensure our ability to get into and out of the area every day. He offered suggestions on what to do as alternatives to our plans because of the weather and went over and beyond by helping us out when one of our vehicles had a flat tire.
Our family enjoyed the time we spent there very much.

Our family had a great time together at this cabin. The manager was very responsive and helped plow us out during a snowstorm so we could get home on time and back to work.

The house wasn’t as clean as it should have been. A used diaper was left behind by a previous tenant. The bathrooms were clean to about a 7 out of 10. One of the 3 water heaters wasn’t working so one bathroom had lukewarm water, there wasn’t enough places to put the trash from a large family so I had to take it home with me and put it in my dumpster at work. Other than that it was a good experience I have to say that for the price it really was worth it, it was pretty inexpensive and my entire family had a great time just a couple of overlooked items on the owners side like trash bags and some extra cleaning supplies would have been nice so we could have left it better than we found it.

If you're looking for a place that doesn't have too many bells and whistles, this place is great. A couple of things broke while we were there but communication was great and hosts were prompt!

We had planned a special Thanksgiving time with our family and were excited to be together and enjoy Flagstaff and Williams and the Festivities there. So we want to tell you to please be aware of the filthy rugs, broken blinds, bathroom storage doors not attached just put there to fall at any given moment. BUT the worst was that one guest saw a mouse scurrying around while we were sleeping the one and only night we stayed. Then trying to prepare a meal brought sightings of mice droppings under the sink, in cabinets and in drawers. We found droppings in the hot pad drawer- ENOUGH. Finding another place for our large family was not easy and very time consuming, BUT necessary to try to keep our children healthy. We were quite concerned as our children were running around, playing and playing prior to our discovering the mice feces. NOW that you have read this, please stop and research what diseases mice droppings can cause. This is a premier property on VRBO with great ratings - HOW??? Please VRBO, make it safe and a healthy environment for those who stay. The owner did refund most of our money, but kept the cleaning fee (LOL) and the TAX paid on the money she refunded - which she should not need as she did not get the monies. BE AWARE! GO ELSEWHERE!! ANYWHERE!

Affordable Rental House for Large Family!
The Riverhouse met all our basic needs for our family of nine. As stated in the description this is a basic house that does not have high end/fancy appliances and furniture but our family wasn't looking for that. We wanted a nice, affordable, cozy home that would accommodate our large family and the Riverhouse did just that. The Riverhouse was in a great location, with easy access to dining and outdoor activities. We rented the house during our trip Grand Canyon and Sedona, which were only a short drive away, and were completely satisfied. The owner was really friendly, accommodating and responsive. Thank you!

Pics don’t do it justice
This place to was great for our family of 9! The pictures don’t on the listing don’t do the house justice. It was very nice. We loved that there was the forest at the end of the road and went sledding. Perfect house for our winter getaway! Convenient to the Grand Canyon and Sedona.

Christmas Family Trip
This house was perfect for our stay. My family had plenty of room and we were all very happy that everyone had their own room. The heated floors downstairs are amazing on those very cold mornings! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Great getaway!!!
Although Flagstaff is only a 2 hour drive from home we felt like we were so far away, nestled in a deep forest. Such a perfect home to stay in if you have a large family coming in from out of town like we did. Thanks!

Best House in Flag
We stayed at the River house for our 3rd time and loved it, as expected. There is always plenty of room for us. We love that it is only a quick drive to town, or down to the lake for fishing.

MUST STAY AT!! WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!!
We had an absolutely amazing trip to this beautiful home. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies as well as the rest of the house. There was ample space for our group of 16. The recommendations given from the host as well as the Speedy communication was really appreciated. This gorgeous home sits on a very quiet cul-de-sac and the one of my favorite memories so far was sitting outside with my parents having a hot cup of cocoa and watching all of the birds. This place we made so many memories and will be back. I give this house at 12 out at 10.

Plenty of room and a great hub!
The house was perfect for our group of grandparents, parents, and children. We used the house as a hub to day trip to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Meteor Crater, and Lava Caves. We were a bit nervous about no AC, but even in a nearby heat wave in July, the temp in Flagstaff was very comfortable and cooled off perfectly each night. We would definitstau here again.

High in the sky
The only two things that was bad. 1st was the fire ,lightning strike,2nd was toilet overflowing . The great things on our trip well so many things that where great my kids and family can't stop talking about it.we had a great time. The property Manager was great she came imediately when the toilet had issue and sent someone to correct the issue. The worst thing not enough time to see everything and do some rafting and hiking.Thank you a lot of fun memories. A suggestion you should put a guest book so we can tell the home owner or manager our story and other guests can see how fun it was.

Vacation
It was our first rental, seemed easy to do and our earlier stress was unfounded. It seems the guest before us just put All of the dishes away dirty but the owners wouldn't have seen that

We had a great time during our 3-day/2-night field trip to Flagstaff. We had 10 students and 4 adults who stayed at the house. The house was conveniently located close to everything and had multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. We did several hikes (during the daytime & some night hikes) - the trails were just a few steps from the house! The kids enjoyed the cornhole games in the garage. The master bedroom has a massive jacuzzi tub and amazing shower! We would definitely stay here again!

Plenty of room
So many rooms and beds seems like it could sleep 50. Very nice house just outside the city, but still close. The only issue we had was no coffee pots fit the coffer makers. Had to resort to the purculator.
