About this house rental
Welcome to Amelia Island, ranked No.3 in Conde Nast Travel magazine's Readers Choice Awards 2022 for top islands in the United States!
This unique, French coastal private residence is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, adjacent to the luxurious Omni Amelia Island Hotel and Conference Center.
As part of this verdant beachside community, our home is nestled in amongst uniquely windswept live oaks and southern magnolias with miles of private trails and paved paths extending in all directions, right outside the front door... AND you are just a short 6-minute walk from one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida.
This amazing family home has something for everybody: lounge on oversized sofas and play a variety of board games (provided); stream the latest movie or favorite show on the living room's wide screen Smart TV (with cable); appreciate a quiet moment in one of our four spacious ensuite bedrooms; read a book on a private side deck; prepare dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and serve it in style; grill some delicious local Mayport shrimp on the outdoor BBQ under the glow of the patio lights; share a meal on the screened-in porch (patio heater in wintertime, ceiling fan in the summer); listen to the ocean breeze caress the palmetto fronds; watch the evening sky and warm yourself by the firepit (firewood provided); observe red cardinals swooping onto the birdfeeder; walk along the 13 miles of white sand searching for pre-historic sharks' teeth (best at low tide); cast a line off of Aury Island and try to catch a wide-mouth bass; discover the sunken forest and the ancient Timucuan burial mound; bike to Drummond Point for a game of ping pong or pickleball; watch the sun set over the marshes at Walker's Landing; visit the hands-on Nature Center; play putt-putt golf on the Shoppes center; wander over to Marche Burette (5 minute walk) for an ice cream and check out the shops, spa and restaurants along the way; drive the golf cart through the maritime forest to the beach for a day full of sun and surf....
Inside the house, you will find everything you need to make your stay as easy as possible: pots and pans, lots of dishes and serving vessels, glasses for all occasions, paper products, soft linens, 2 twin airbeds, a Pack 'n Play Graco crib with sheets and baby blanket, fluffy bath towels, oversized beach towels, fast WiFi, multiple Smart TVs (Roku), Ecowater filter at the kitchen sink and a Brita pitcher (no need for bottled water), candles and so much more.
In the garage, you will find room to park 2 cars, an electric golf cart, at least 4 adult bikes and 4 kids bikes, helmets, beach chairs, a cooler and an assortment of beach toys and boards.
The house layout is on one floor and aside from the 3 steps leading to the front door, it is wheelchair friendly. The stairs in the dining room lead to the homeowner's private loft space.
VRBO states that this house sleeps 10, which is the maximum number of people allowed in the rental, but we only sleep 8 people in beds. Finally, although this property has a lot to offer, there is no access to a pool. We are very proud of our 5-star rating and our high cleanliness reviews. We are also striving to be a sustainable rental, so please recyle and use towels economically.
We are happy to welcome one 4-legged member of the family for a fee of $75 per stay; please check the pet box when you make the reservation.
You will be given your own access code that will also work for both the front door and the garage.
We trust you will enjoy yourselves as much as we have over the past 20 years. Amelia Island is truly unique in so many ways! Take advantage of Instant Booking to reserve today!

Our family of 8 was impressed by all of the "extras" provided in this home - everything from laundry detergent to a golf cart and bikes. The home is lovely and we truly felt "pampered". We would definitely stay there again when on Amelia Island.

Everyone had a blast and the host provided everything needed for a fabulous beach vacation. It felt like home and vacation at the same time.

I booked this location last year as Father of the Bride for my daughter’s wedding week. My family arrived three days prior and then all of the Bridesmaids stayed in the house with us for four nights as the host home. It easily accommodated all 10 people with excellent sleeping quarters, four full bathrooms and no problems with hot showers.
There is a massive screen porch to eat outside and not worry about the mosquitoes biting, and early mornings were enjoyable on the back deck with coffee and breakfast. Very short walk to the beach down the trail that runs along side of the Omni Amelia Inn. Plenty of bikes (10-15) of various sizes, golf cart, and plenty of beach chairs and games like Spikeball were located in the garage.
Lots of ample parking for 4+ cars. We put our suburban in the garage, and F-150, Explorer, and one guest’s RAV4 in the driveway with no problem. We bought an enclosed trailer for all the wedding event supplies from Atlanta and the 6x12 trailer hooked to the F-150 easily fit in the driveway for unloading and loading, but I later moved the trailer down to the overflow parking for the week down near Sea Dunes tennis courts at south end of the Plantation so neighbors wouldn’t be upset.
I would gladly stay here again at anytime and have no complaints or issues. Excellent host and excellent experience. The wedding week was stressful as the Father of the Bride so to have these accommodations be so pleasant and stress free was a huge relief.

My Aunt and Uncle, my son and daughter and her husband, and my wife and I stayed for four nights. The Owner, or property manager, provided great details on every aspect of the home and area. Only thing we didn't figure out was hot to get the coffee maker to work. Yet there was a back-up option for that as well. Really enjoyed the lay out of the home and privacy that each room had. Great place to stay for our trip!

It was a very special Thanksgiving week at 6 Green Winged Teal Road! It was the first time that the seven of us (our sons & their wives) gathered for a vacation – just us! The house was an amazing space to spend this precious time together! Everyone had their own bedroom & bathroom. We cooked amazing meals together and lingered over dinner on the candlelit porch. We spent two evenings around the fire on the deck. We chilled on the couch – watching sports and completing a 1000-piece puzzle. We played many games – board games, beach games, and pickle ball several times at Drummond Park. We took many walks together – including a long walk on Boneyard beach on Talbot Island. The golf cart and bikes were so handy to have to get to the beach and explore the area.
This house had everything that we could have possibly needed - especially the well stocked kitchen. We were amazed!

We love Amelia Island and we come up often. My son decided to proposal to his beautiful girlfriend here in our happy place. This is by far, the best VRBO property we have stayed in to date. We didn’t want for anything. It’s a beautiful place and very comfortable. We had seven adults and it was really nice for each to have their own bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious home for multi generation vacation. Traveled with adult children and their infant children. Each of the four bedrooms was spacious with its own attached bathroom. Close proximity to a peaceful beach. Home was very well appointed with anything you would need, including bicycles and a golf cart. Highly recommend this property.

Our usual vacation place in Captiva is under post-hurricane repairs, so we ventured to Amelia Island this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it! The house was so conveniently located for going to the beach and shopping. This place is so well appointed with everything for a family vacation - and we would definitely go back!

We rented this property during our stay for our daughter's wedding. It was just perfect- each of our adult children had their own suite and it was also a great property with children, we literally only had to bring in our food! Everything you could possibly need for your home away from home was provided.
Highly recommend this property and agent! Would stay again if in the area for certain! thank you so much for all you do to make these stays so pleasant!

The house was perfect for our girl's getaway. Loved the layout of the house, plenty of space to spread out with nice areas to gather and socialize, the deck and screened in patio.
The house was well equipped, had all the cooking, kitchen tools, plates, utensils to prepare and serve meals. Plenty of beach towels, and loved the use of the golf cart to go to the beach and tennis courts. There were plenty of bikes, but we didn't use them.
Stacey was an excellent host, very prompt and responsive to our requests. Would stay here again.

We booked this house because with two young kids, we knew we wanted more space than a condo to let them run around. This house did not disappoint! There was more than enough space to run around, both inside and outside. The included golf carts and bicycles were so convenient to head over to the beach or explore the area. The house was clean and organized. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

This is a spacious and incredibly well-stocked home that has been lovingly decorated with charming antiques. The beach and shops are a short stroll away. Our family enjoyed motoring around in the golf cart and our little granddaughter enjoyed all the beach toys, bubbles and sidewalk chalk. We would very happily spend a month or more at this property. We hope to visit again next year!

The house was perfect for our needs. It was clean and charming with many interesting period pieces. 4 ensuite bathrooms and the golf cart added to the convenience and the location was great. A stone throw from the Omni hotel and beach. Stacey was very responsive.

There were 9 of us (friends and family). This house gave us plenty of space. Great outdoor seating. Fire pit and gas grill were a great addition. Would love to have had a fifth bedroom but we made it work and were very comfortable. Property Manager was extremely helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed this magnificent home! It is very well appointed and decorated. It is extremely roomy and at the same time queen! Everyone enjoyed it. My husband really need it a mini vacation and so did I. My sister and my first cousin they really enjoyed it. It was a spur of the moment and we looked online and we fell in love the moment we looked at the home. It was such a blessing to find such a perfect place. Check in was seamless and everything that you could have ever wanted in a home away from home was there. I will be back on many occasions to enjoy this beautiful place.

Lovely home, very well stocked with dishware, beach items, general supplies. If I had one comment for improvement it might be that the mattresses are a bit soft, which effected our group of older adults. 4 en-suite bathrooms is a real plus for a group of couples and the outdoor area is very good. Overall, we had a great few days in this charming home.

We couldn't have had a more wonderful stay. It was very close to the conference center. The house was great. Lot of little things were provided- spices, coffee filters, beach towels, beach chairs- everything we never thought to ask about. The property manager was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Paradise Visited
A group of 6 women stayed at this beautuful home inside the Omni Resort area on Amelia Island. Everything was fantastic!! The home has 4 large bedrooms, each with a private bath and it was perfect for us. The home is filled with warm touches, more dishes, glassware etc than any other place we have stayed. What a treat!! Highly recommended.

Great for any Group
The house, the grounds, and the amenities are thoughtfully provided for a vacationing family like ours. The home décor is interesting and 2 well-placed items let us know from where the street name originated. Bikes for the adults, golf cart for the geezers, and, if you have young kids, even beach “stuff”. The home makes it a great vacation venue for any family as the owners provided for every need: a private beach (a 10-minute walk), a very well-stocked kitchen with pans, pots, paper products, and dishes for any occasion, a huge patio deck with a BBQ, and a screened porch. We were all adults and spent time together for conversations and dinner as well as had private time in our own bedrooms with bath and shower. The time spent on the patio deck was enjoyable due to the great weather. We used the barbecue for two dinners that turned out great thanks to our family’s talented barbecue chef. One fun part was watching the Carolina Wrens that nested in a hanging planter as they fed their newborn chicks. It was a great 6 days to celebrate with family members the grandmother’s 80th.
